We just returned from our 11 day trip to WDW. We arrived on April 22 and spent the first night at Pop century before moving to the Grand Floridian and starting our package which included 9 nights of deluxe dining. The trip included me and my husband and our 4 year old daughter.

First I will give you a little back story into the trip planning. I wasn’t sure I would feel like or remember to take pictures so I did not do a pre-trip report.

This was our second trip to WDW. We were there last September during free dining, (stayed at POFQ), and had upgraded to Deluxe dining so we knew how much food we were in for this time. The trip in September was hectic and we went with the attitude that we had to do everything because we probably would would not come back anytime soon, but in October we received a PIN and thought we could go back and do the vacation right this time, so we planned a trip for April.

Since we had been to WDW in September I had a good idea of what restaurants we wanted to eat at again and what we wanted to try for the first time. I was able to start making ADR’s on October 27 the day that the dining window moved from 90 days back to 180. I got early to do the online booking but the system was down and I didn’t have time call in before work. So I did not make my reservations until the next day, but had no trouble getting what I wanted.

Where we dined in the end is probably quite different than what I had originally booked, but here is where we ate. I will add links once each post is made.

For those photogs reading the pictures were taken on Canon XS with a Canon 50mm 1.8 lens, Canon PowerShot SD1200IS, or our Canon XT with a Sigma 10-20mm ultra wide angle lens. I liked the look of the photos taken with the 50mm lens, but the powershot was quick and easy and not as conspicuous.

Tim Hortons
On our way to the airport we stopped at a Canadian Institution to pick up a couple snacks for the ride. I had a lovely tea biscuit, DH had a sour cream glazed doughnut. I believe DD had a gingersnap cookie.

You can see her practicing her meditation on the way to airport after dropping our two dogs off at the kennel. One of her favorite movies right now is the Fanastic Mr. Fox and she enjoys copying Kristopherson the fox.

Once at the airport we did share a couple meals there.I donít hae any photos of the food. It was not remarkable, except for the fact it came in compostable packaging, but there were no compost bins anywhere in the waiting area. Nova Scotia has a strong recycling program and most bins have a spot for recyclables, paper, garbage, and compost. So we were excited that are packaging could be composted but sad when we had to throw it in the garbage.

Pop Century

I didnít have any firm plans for dinner tonight. We arrived in Orlando around 6pm by the time we picked up our bags, our rental car, and arrived at Pop Century it was getting close to 7pm. We had a room in the 80ís section facing the lake.

DD wanted to walk to the room and DH was going to bring the car to closest parking lot and meet us at the room. Pop Century is quite a big resort, the layout is a bit confusing and I had in my mind that we were in a 70ís building because we were in building 7. So it took us a little while to find the room. For some reason I didnít take a key with me and left them all with my DH. When I arrived at the room I knocked and received no answer. I was concerned that I had the wrong room, or that I had misunderstood my DH and we were going to meet at the parking lot. DD and I wandered around for 45 minutes until we finally spotted DH. At this point DD had seen the pools and had started in with the chant we heard so much of on the previous trip ďI want to go to the poolĒ.

My hope for the evening was to drop off our bags and head to Downtown Disney to pick up something to eat, but after the 45 minute search and the constant ďI want to go to the poolĒ chant we decided to head to the pool and then pick up something at the food court. DD changed into her swimsuit and we headed down to the kiddie pool. While DD swam DH headed over to the pool bar and got me a Strawberry frozen drink and a beer. When DD finally decided she had enough of swimming we headed to the food court.

We had a least 2 cameras with us but did not take a single picture of the food court or the food. DH had a turkey ciabatta sandwich, I had a cheeseburger with fries and DD had a kids hamburger with fries and grapes. It was close to 9pm and the food court was still very busy, I would hate to see it at a peak time.

We decided to take our food back to our room. DH thought his sandwich was good very large and filing. My cheeseburger and fries were all right but not great, I would imagine that they are the same at any of the WDW eateries. DD seemed to enjoy her hamburger and ate most of it. I like that they include 2 sides with the kids meals, she always wants fries but rarely eats more than one or 2, but she did eat all of her grapes.

I donít have the exact totals for the food and drinks I did see that our card had been charged $51 CAD for our stay at Pop and that would include our drinks from the pool bar, my DH had another beer with dinner and I think we also bought a cookie for DD so price wise it wasnít too bad all was OOP since we did not start our package until the next day.

I just wanted to comment about our stay at Pop Century, our room was clean and very quite except you would hear every toilet flush. I did find it to be crowded and I would not want to have to make the trek from our room to the front a couple times a day, but given the choice of staying at Pop or POFQ I would probably pick Pop. Our room was as nice and Pop has 3 pools that seemed to have plenty of available seating. During our stay at POFQ we had a lot of trouble getting a chair or a lounge and when we did we couldnít see the pool from where we were. I donít think that POFQ was worth the extra cost.

Here are couple pictures from the pool area.

Check in at GF/1900 Park Fare

After a fairly restful sleep we packed up our things and headed to the Grand Floridian. We gave bell services our bags and checked in. It was around 10am and our room was not ready yet, but we were early for Park Fare.

http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4028/4584952674_a108b14648_o.jpg

My DD received Alice in Wonderland for Easter and was looking forward to meeting Alice and the Mad Hatter Our reservation at Park Fare was for 11am but we thought we would try checking in early. They took us right away. We declined having the picture taken outside the restaurant. We were sat at a 4 top table and our server was quick to take our drink orders.

Tigger was the first to stop at our table, when pooh arrived he stopped shook DD hand and than left we didn’t even have a chance to take a photo. We let our waitress know and the character handler made sure Pooh stopped by for a second time. Mary Poppins, Alice, and the Mad Hatter were all great. WE had very good character interactions here. I made a photobook from our previous pictures with the characters for DD to use as an autograph book. We did get a lot more time with some characters because of the book. I got the idea from another Diser on the boards and it does make a nice keepsake. I also noticed the later the reservation the better the interaction. I think the characters have more time to interact later in the day.

The food was a little better than some of the other character buffets. I had french toast with banana foster sauce, I found the sauce to be a little bitter, bacon, pineapple, breakfast potatoes, and lobster eggs benedict. The poached eggs had a cooked yolk a prefer a runny yolk on my poached eggs so I didn’t love it.

http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4009/4579508028_fac1e866a6_o.jpg

DD had mickey waffles, strawberries, bacon, and smoked salmon.

http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4070/4578880211_981df41d7c_o.jpg

DH had bacon, a pecan roll, scrambled eggs, ham, breakfast potatoes, smoked salmon, and lobster eggs benedict. He also did not like the fact that the yolks were cooked through. He did however really enjoy the scrambled eggs.

http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4070/4578880507_f7c2ef70d1_o.jpg

We also shared some strawberry soup.

http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4010/4579509024_1c9457f2f8_o.jpg

Overall we enjoyed our breakfast at 1900 Park Fare and would eat there again. I lost the receipt from this meal but based on the cost listed on allears it was $68.12 including tax plus tip.

From here we headed out to Animal Kingdom to spend the afternoon.

Coming up next our room at GF and the Flying Fish.

Signing on! Great reviews so far! LOVE the photos, especially of your adorable DD "meditating"! SO CUTE! It's funny what you say about choosing Pop over POFQ again, because we feel the SAME way. We stayed at POFQ one trip, and realized that we don't find any value to a Mod over a Value. If we're on a budget trip, we stay ASMu or Pop (in off season). In a "nice" trip we stay Deluxe. It's interesting to see someone else who feels the same way!

Your pics of the GF lobby are just stunning. Also what a neat idea about the photobook/autograph book, your DD is really lucky :goodvibes Can't wait to read more of your reviews!

I think we had breakfast there the same day, but ours was earlier! I also really disliked the yolks on the lobster eggs benedict. It was way too dry in combination with the biscuit. Also, did you see any lobster pieces? Shouldn't there have been some?
Did you like the breakfast potatoes? Mine were undercooked and too spicey which was disappointing because they looked really good. I hope you got a better batch!

vinotinto as far as the changes we made to our original plans, at the beginning of the trip we had too many 3 meal days We were happier with 2 meals a day and had a snack either for breakfast or midday. As the trip went on we cancelled some reservations and did walk up or in room dining instead.

danielle.st, emmabemmainc I glad that we were not alone about the over cooked eggs. The breakfast potatoes were cooked. I did find that the breakfast buffets were hit and miss.

CanadianPaco Tim Horton's the only way to start any road trip!

We spent the afternoon at Animal Kingdom and saw some shows we missed last time, The Lion King and Flights of Wonder, and discovered our DD had easily made the 40inch mark and would be able to ride more things than last time.

Since we were staying at GF we decided to valet park the rental. It was convenient when we were dining at other hotels especially when we were tight for time. No hunting for a parking spot and than rushing through the parking lot to the restaurant. We returned to the hotel and found that our room was ready. I had requested an upper floor near the pool and both requests were fulfilled. I thought I would throw in some pictures of our room and view. The view was nice when wishes was on.

http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4018/4579281760_8891ed5cbf.jpg

We changed and headed to the Boardwalk for dinner at the Flying Fish. We had eaten at the Flying Fish last time. I liked it a lot my DH was more on the fence about eating there.

We checked in for our 6:05 ADR on time and were seated within 5 minutes. We were celebrating our anniversary on the trip and were presented with personalized menus and offered complimentary champagne.

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3327/4579513752_c0c774f2e0_o.jpg

For our appetizers I had the Tuna Tartare and Crispy Tempura and Vegetable Sushi roll. It was good. Sorry the picture is a little blurry.

http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4052/4578881433_462d70bb39_o.jpg

My DH the Crispy Sesame and Togarashi scented Calamari. The last time we were here I had the Calamari and loved it, but I wanted to try something different. I think I would pick the Calamari as my favourite I love the flavour of the Asian dipping sauce.

http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4020/4579509366_c3df4bf3b8_o.jpg

DD had the fruit skewers with honey yogurt I don’t have a picture of them. She ate the strawberries and left the melon.

For our mains I had the Flying Fish Signature dish Potato Wrapped Red Snapper with Leek Fondue. I was not thrilled with this dish the red snapper was bland and the sauce was good but very rick and there were too many leeks. I had debated between this and the special of the day Tilapia and wished I had chosen it instead.

http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4023/4578882247_1dc564a0f3_o.jpg

DH had the Smokey Citrus and Fragrant Pepper-spiced Yellowfin Tuna. It was delicious, he definitely had the better entree.

http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4012/4589503472_46e5f7e696_o.jpg

DD had the Mickey Pasta with Olive oil. She ate much of this on our last trip and enjoyed it again.

http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4068/4579511818_65f9000ec8_o.jpg

Both DH and I had a glass of the recommended entree wine with our meal.

For Dessert I had the Banana Napoleon it was very good.

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3309/4579514514_c8d5a2d2c3_o.jpg

DH had a trio of peach desserts that included a cobbler, a creme brulee, and a cake. Neither of us a creme brulee fans but it was very good and enjoyed the other desserts with the cake as the least favourite.

http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4068/4578886577_657b7089c3_o.jpg

DD had a Mickey Puzzle that she enjoyed playing with I don’t think she ate much of it but it kept her busy.

http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4064/4579514056_be8ce26920_o.jpg

Overall we enjoyed our meal at the Flying Fish, it wasn't as good as last year and would not be top pick, but if I could fit it into a schedule I would go back, (but I wouldn't get the signature dish again).

The cost not including wine or tip was $167.39.

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3325/4589344640_ff78745c06_o.jpg

After diner we walked on the boardwalk and stopped at the Boardwalk Bakery were I picked up a little Mickey head cake and DD picked a muffin. I used a snack credit for both. The Mickey head sat it the fridge for a couple days before we ate it and it was moist and very good I would definitely recommend. I don’t know if DD ever ate the muffin.

Kona Cafe

I made an early 7:30am reservation for Kona Cafe. My plan was to walk over from the Grand Floridian, have breakfast at Koan then walk over to the TTC and catch the monorail over to Epcot hopefully for rope drop. The walk over was easy the path wasn’t to busy and it only took about 5-10 minutes to make over there. We checked in a couple minutes late and had to wait a few minutes to be seated. Our server while friendly was not fantastic. He took a long time to make it over to our table and made the comment that he had been given two tables to look after. It didn’t fill me with confidence.

I ordered a pineapple juice and DH and I would “split” a Kona coffee French press pot. I don’t drink coffee so it was all DH. DH also ordered a glass of pineapple juice but was brought orange juice. It he decided it wasn’t worth the hassle of getting the waiter to correct the drink. DD also had pineapple juice.

For food I had to order Tonga Toast which I did enjoy with the strawberry sauce.

http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1128/4596322300_b714543156_o.jpg

I talked DH into the Big Kahuna he thought it was all right but wished he had ordered something else more interesting. He original was going to order Tonga Toast, but I talked him into the Big Kahuna so I felt bad he didn’t love his meal.

http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1340/4596309340_29da412762_o.jpg

DD had the Mickey Pancakes. She is not a morning person and did not eat much of her breakfast.

http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1292/4595697651_2457346fb7_o.jpg

I did enjoy my breakfast, but I don’t know if I would go out of my way just to have breakfast at Kona. The food was good but the service was lacking. It took a long time to get our bill and then pay it so we were a little late for rope drop.

Cost not including tip $44.25.

I completely agree-my sis and I went to Kona for a late breakfast one Sunday morning in February. Even though the restaurant was only about half full, service was extremely slow-but we saw one table where it was even slower than ours!!! So sorry that you missed rope drop-I hope that didn't spoil your morning?

Great pictures!! We also start any trip (including one to the grocery store) at Tim's. That is DH's biggest complaint about our trip to Disney last year. Once we got 1/2 way throught Ohio no more Tim's. He couldn't stand any coffee in WDW. Maybe I should plan for Kona just for the press pot next time.

goldielocksraj Luckily missing rope drop didn't affect us at all. It seemed that other people had better waiters around us, just the luck of the draw. I did notice that a lot of people were being trained everywhere, at the restaurants and in the parks.

rodeo65As I say I am not a coffee drinker but my husband is an aficionado and likes his coffee just so. He did think that the coffee at GF was not bad. How long of a drive was it it from where you live? We were surprised at the number of cars at WDW with Ontario plates.

For lunch we had reservation at Teppan Edo for 12:40pm. DD who hardly ate any breakfast started complaining that she was hungry just after 11am so we got her a Mickey ice cream bar to tide her over until lunch. Epcot was very busy with the dance competitions that were happening on that weekend.
We had some time to kill until our Soarin FastPasses would be open, so we got in the line for Nemo the sign said 30 minutes, but by the time we finally got on the ride it was at least 45 minutes later.

By the time we got off the ride our Soarin’ window had been open a while and I wanted to ride it before lunch, because we did ride Soarin’ it made us late for our reservation at Teppan Edo.

I had hoped to walk leisurely over to Japan, but since we were late we rushed over in the midday heat ensuring I would be a sweaty mess by the time we got there. We were about 10 minutes late for our ADR by the time we got there and then had to wait another 10 minutes before we were seated at the back of the restaurant in a room with 2 grills.

For some reason I took no pictures at this meal. It was a meal that would have been easy to take a picture at, but no I forgot. The service was good, but our server was quite and the room was noisy so I had some trouble hearing her. Our chef was good, but you could tell that he did the same show 30 times a day. We had tempura to start. It came with apiece of chicken, shrimp, zucchini, and onion. The tempura was nice and light. DD ate our chicken and loved it. I like sweet potato tempura so I was disappointed there was none.

For our entrees I had chicken and shrimp, DH had steak and chicken and DD has the chicken. All meals came with rice, noodles, vegetables, and dipping sauces. The entrees were good and was flavourful. Overall it was a good meal, but something you could have at any Hibachi restaurant. DH was keen on trying this restaurant so I am glad he got a chance to do it, but I don’t think I would go back. I would be interested in trying Tokyo Dining. Epcot has so many interesting restaurants It have to be really wow to go back instead of trying something new.

Here are a few pictures from Epcot

We had eaten at the California Grill last September and enjoyed our meal, but it was not my favourite this time it was my number one. I originally had California booked later in the week but because we added the dessert party I moved it to different night and was happy to get a reservation just before 6PM. Last year I had hoped to get a window seat overlooking MK. I was disappointed when we walked pass all the window seats and were seated in a quiet room in the back. As it turned out the wine room was a wonderful place to sit. Very quite and peaceful compared to the rest of restaurant, and it has a beautiful view of Bay Lake. This time when we arrived to check in we requested to sit in the wine room and happily our request was granted.

Here are a couple pictures of the view.

I had a bottle of Evain and DH had San Pellegrino, and DD had apple juice to drink.

For starters I had so sushi. It was a crab roll with thinly sliced beef on the outside. I believe it was called Oscar roll. It was delicious I would highly recommend it.

http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4035/4578889279_e89f1009b3_o.jpg

DH had Crispy Asian Rock Shrimp Salad, it was also very good and he enjoyed it thoroughly.

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3308/4578888749_1098009abb_o.jpg

DD didnít like any of her picks for an appetizer and our waiter asked if she would like some fruit. I expected a plate with some strawberries and pineapple, but he brought out this which she devoured. It was also very cute.

http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4031/4579518008_86c65027c8_o.jpg

For our entrees I had the Salmon with Spring Pea Risotto, I seemed to eat a lot of salmon and fish on this trip. This dish was divine, the salmon was cooked perfectly and risotto complimented the salmon.

http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4033/4578890347_dfd2bf726d_o.jpg

DH had a pork dish. I believe it came with goat cheese polenta and beets in a wine reduction. It also was very tasty and he enjoyed it very much.

http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4014/4578893521_2c7c7f39ee_o.jpg

DD had the whole wheat cheese pizza that she enjoyed. It was fire grilled.

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3309/4578890759_01e5715609_o.jpg

Both DH and I had a glass of wine that complemented the entrees nicely.

For dessert I had Bananas and Caramel. You will also notice that many of my deserts are some form of bananas and caramel a perfect combination in my opinion.

http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4068/4579523890_4a9618ce42_o.jpg

DH had Florida ďStrawberry Shortcake, also very good. I was impressed with the liitle white chocolate cup that ice cream in it.

http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4017/4579525180_0bb94eba96_o.jpg

DD had the dessert sushi which she loved. It is very cute. It came with a marshmallow wasabi, I donít think we had a chance to photograph it, rice crispy and gummy rolls, gummy fish, ginger which I believe was a taffy, and chocolate sauce to dip.

http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4067/4578894587_060aa0ec42_o.jpg

It was a fantastic meal. I absolutely recommend California Grill.

Absolutely loving your reviews and this one of California Grill is making me really excited for our ADR in August. I especially love the pics of the kid's pizza and dessert. I had to make all my ADRs around what I hoped my son would eat at certain places. I knew the pizza and sushi dessert would be what he'd try and I just showed him the pics and he is excited as well!

We had eaten last year at Chef Mickeys and I thought it was better than what I expected it to be. So I made a reservation again this year for 7am.

http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1062/4611913694_131c8e0cd9_o.jpg

We arrived a little past 7 and checked in. I really wasnít in the mood to have my picture taken so we opted out of the photograph, but then we waited and waited to be seated. It seemed like a long wait but it was probably only 10 minutes. We were seated across from the buffet so that was convenient. The food was not great, it was definitely better last September.

The characters came out quickly and spent a good amount of time interacting with DD, and really that was the main reason we were at Chef Mickeys. Our waitress was all right she brought us juice quickly, but when it came time to pay the bill she disappeared with it at seemed to be gone forever.

I would not come back here again if it was just DH and I, but DD kept asking about when we would eat at Chef Mickeys for this trip and if she wants to eat there again on a future trip we probably would, but for the characters not the food.

rodeo65As I say I am not a coffee drinker but my husband is an aficionado and likes his coffee just so. He did think that the coffee at GF was not bad. How long of a drive was it it from where you live? We were surprised at the number of cars at WDW with Ontario plates.[/QUOTE]

It is just under 1300 miles for us and we took four days to do the drive so we could arrive early on our first day. We drove home in three days.

We used to do the drive when I was a kid and always drove in three days - two nights on the road, but always got in after dinner time on our first day. Tha seemed like a waste of a day we could be checking out the resort or at DTD so that is why we take the extra day going down. We left only two hours for our last day.

We arrived early for our lunch reservation at 50ís Prime Time Cafe, but when we checked in they could not find our reservation. I offered to find our ADR reservation number, but they say not to worry since it was not busy.

We were taken through various kitchens to our kitchenette and introduced to our Aunt. She was friendly but not over the top.

I felt very rushed in ordering she gave us our menus explained what we could order and then wanted to take our appetizer order immediately. I would have liked to take a minute or two to decide, but we quickly decided to order the onion rings for two and DD ordered chicken noodle soup. To drink I ordered a vanilla coke, DD had a chocolate milkshake and DH had a vanilla milkshake. The milkshakes were good and large DD and I shared hers and there was enough for both of us to have a glass plus a little extra.

The appetizers came out quickly the onion rings were ok. I thought they were a little greasy and the onions were large chunks.

http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4014/4579526442_cbbb61258a_o.jpg

DD chicken noodle soup was good and very flavourful.

http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4016/4579526744_28c395bcfa_o.jpg

For our mains I had the pot roast,

http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4044/4578899045_4f165cc6fb_o.jpg

DH had the meatloaf,

http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4039/4578898417_42ac5419cd_o.jpg

and DD had the chicken nuggets and fries.

http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4047/4578899301_94d1613c05_o.jpg

I thought the potatoes with the pot roast were very good, but the pot roast itself was a little tough and chewy. DH liked his meatloaf but thought the meatloaf I make is better, I use a recipe from Martha Stewart that is very good. He thought the veggies that came with it were over done. DD enjoyed her Chicken nuggets, it is a food that she does not eat at home, but she seemed to enjoy them at WDW.

We were very full at this point and asked if we could take dessert to go. They said sure so we picked the Boston Cream cupcake. Unfortunately they didnít travel well and we threw them out without eating. We did however pick up a peanut butter and white chocolate cupcake on our way out of DHS which we enjoyed back at the hotel.

http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4042/4579589120_1a97a49eaa_o.jpg

http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4020/4579588282_08bb4e19a0_o.jpg

Overall I would say that our experience at 50ís Prime Time Cafe was only all right. The milkshakes were good, but not a good enough reason to eat at 50ís Prime Time.

I will admit that we were not that hungry when we went. I only had two days with 3 meals and they were back to back. I would make sure I didnít do that again because we were feeling a little too stuffed. They rest of the week was better when we only ate 2 meals a day.

I would probably not eat at the Prime Time Cafe, but I would pop into the Tune-In Lounge and pick up a shake.

Up next Ohana.

I booked dinner at Ohana when my ADR window opened. We had a good time Sunday at 6:30, but I did try without any luck to move this reservation. It is a popular choice.

Unfortunately I did not take any pictures of dinner, but it is a popular meal and I am sure most of you have seen pictures of the meal. I did take pictures of the lobby while we were waiting.

http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4045/4588736899_f34bf64593.jpg

I was expecting a wait after we checked in, knowing how popular the restaurant was and it looked like a big storm was heading in. I had read recently about when Spirit of Aloha is canceled due to weather they fit those guests into Ohana. Luckily we were able to find a seat in the lobby and only waited 15-20 to be seated.

We were shown to a table near the windows. It looked like a two seater that they added a third chair, so it was a little cramped. I ordered a Lapu Lapu to drink. It was good. When DD saw the pineapple come out she wanted a drink of it. So I asked if she could have a drink (pineapple juice) in a pineapple. They said no problem and after reminding one of our waiters a second time they brought her a pineapple full of pineapple juice.

Our food came out very quickly. We had hardly started on the bread when the salad come out followed quickly by the wings and dumplings, then the noodles, and finally the meat. We barely had a chance to try one course before the next one arrived and our small table became very crowded.

All the food was better than I had expected. The bread was a little dry and we had to ask for butter. The salad had a nice flavour and crisp. Both my DH and thought the wings were very good, sticky and tasty. I thought dumpling were dry and a little tough, but DH thought they were good. I liked the noodles with the dipping sauce. The meat was good not to dry. I think Dh and I both preferred the pork to all other meats. I didn’t enjoy the shrimp because you had to peel it. DD declared that she did not like any of the food and that there was nothing for her to eat. I asked one of the servers and they brought her a hamburger and fries. My favourite part of the meal was the dessert the bread pudding was delicious but I thought the serving was too small.

Since we were not that hungry we didn’t mind that everything come out so quickly. It kept us from filling up on just one course. The service although rushed was very good they were very accommodating and it was busy in the restaurant. They didn’t even charge us for DD pineapple drink. I was really impressed with Ohana and it would be a must do on our next trip.

With a four year old daughter Akershus is a must do for the princesses. Last time at WDW we came here for breakfast, but this time we wanted to try lunch. This was our World Showcase day, since WS doesnít open until 11 it was also one of our sleep in days, we didnít need to arrive until our ADR at noon.

http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4015/4588738631_2060a1213f.jpg

We checked in at the desk and only waited about 5-10 minutes to see Belle.

http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4066/4648267136_f4375ca4c0.jpg

After we were seated at our table. Our waitress took our orders and we were directed to the buffet. Akershus has a buffet of smoked and pickled fish, cheese and fruit as an appetizer. It was a favourite last time we ate here for breakfast and we enjoyed it again at lunch.

http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4033/4578899601_20f23ac9fa.jpg

For my entree I had the Open-faced Chicken Sandwich with potato and fennel salad and hearty vegetable soup. I liked my sandwich the ligonberry mayo flavour went well on the sandwich. The potato and fennel salad was good, but I didnít like the vegetable soup. Itís flavour did not go well with the sandwich or salad.

http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4032/4578901359_faef0886ec_o.jpg

DH had the Salmon Burger with potato and fennel salad and hearty vegetable soup. He found it to be bland, and thought my entree was superior. He agreed with me on both the salad and the soup.

I donít have a picture of dessert, but it was served family style and came with three treats. Sweet and Savory Chocolate Mousse,Traditional Rice Cream - topped with Strawberry Sauce, Flaky Puff Pastry - filled with Mascarpone Mousse topped with fresh Berries as listed on allears. I liked all the desserts with the rice cream as my favourite followed by the puff pastry.

I would eat at Akershus again. The food and service was good and the character interaction was the best we had.

Terrific reviews! I love your style, and your family seems so great! I also want to tell you that you are partially responsible for my decision to upgrade us to the GF for the surprise birthday trip I'm planning for DH in November!! :goodvibes:rotfl: I think it's really cool that Ohana brought out a pineapple full of juice for your DD, and even cooler that they didn't charge you for it! We love Akershus too. Your daughter does look very CUTE in her Belle dress. princess: It's the best character meal for a little girl. I think it would be nice if they would swap Belle out every now and then with another Princess. We have 2 years in a row worth of pictures of my daughter and Belle. :confused3 This year we will add the third. I guess it's a nice way of seeing how she grows from one Disney trip to the next.

gilsan,
I just started reading your reviews. I think we were eating breakfast at Kona the same time you were! We had 0730 ARDs and had a waiter that wasn't that great. We were sitting on the left side of the restaurant as you walk in. We had just checked in the night before and this was our first meal.

Enjoying your reviews so far!

princessallegra Terrific reviews! I love your style, and your family seems so great! I also want to tell you that you are partially responsible for my decision to upgrade us to the GF for the surprise birthday trip I'm planning for DH in November!! I think it's really cool that Ohana brought out a pineapple full of juice for your DD, and even cooler that they didn't charge you for it! We had basically the same experience as you, the food comes out fast, service is rushed but decent. LOVED the pics of Akershus! The pic with Belle is so special. It's great to see the princesses interacting with the little ones

Thanks! You are going to love GF!

As I am sure you know Le Cellier is one of the toughest ADR’s to get. The last time we were at WDW we didn’t even consider Le Cellier. Being from Canada and as someone who rarely eats steak when dining out (I feel I do a good job cooking steak at home) it wasn’t a top pick.

This time when choosing ADR’s I thought I would try to get a reservation and see why it is so popular. I was able to get a spot at 6:45 PM. We spent the day wandering around World Showcase. DD hit every Kidcot spot, and had great time, she also enjoyed a Mango Smoothie. DH drank around the world and enjoyed the wine passport, saki from Japan and beer in England. I had strawberry margarita from Mexico. We also stopped in France and had a couple of snacks, chocolate cake and a strawberry tart from the Boulangerie Patisserie. Along the way we saw a few characters and had an all around relaxing day ending in Canada.

http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4017/4589361844_862c22671c.jpg

We checked in at the restaurant and were seated in the New Brunswick section within 10 minutes. The wait staff told us about some trivia about New Brunswick.

On a side note, I noticed in Canada that emphasis was trivia about Canada, the shop had boards posted with trivia questions about Canada, before the film the CM asked us, (all the people waiting for the film), trivia about Canada, and in the restaurant waitstaff talked about trivia about Canada. I don’t know if we (Canadians) really are testing people to see what they know about Canada, or if we are just a nation obsessed with trivia, After all it was Canadians that created Trivial Pursuits, and Alex Trebek is Canadian (you know I had to throw in some Trivia)

Le Cellier is a restaurant were you can get a smoothie or a shake as your beverage on the dining plan. I got a chocolate and raspberry shake that I did not like in the least.

DD got the Niagara Refresher which is a Mango smoothie, it was delicious I wished I had gotten it instead. It was more orange flavoured than mango and was really good. Dh had Perrier.

For appetizers I had the Canadian Cheddar Cheese Soup. I didn’t love it. I thought the flavour was good but it was far to rich to eat an entire bowl of it. The pretzel bread was good with it and helped cut the richness but I only ate less than half the bowl. It reminded me of a cheese roux sauce that we use to make with a chicken dish.

http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4015/4579531702_cd25e8f9e7_o.jpg

DH had the Spicy Chicken and Chipotle Sausage. He loved it, I think that it was one of his favourite dishes on the trip. I don’t like sausages so I did not try it.

http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4007/4579532090_852bb6bf91_o.jpg

DD had french fries as an appetizer. They were thick cut fries and very good.

http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4046/4579532746_26d473250a_o.jpg

For my entree I had the Coffee-rubbed Kansas City strip. The menu didn’t list all the sizes of the steaks so I assumed that it would be about 8 ounces. When they brought it out it was huge. I like my steak rare and it was cooked perfectly. I loved the rub it gave and I thought the steak was excellent. I ate and ate and ate a then finally gave up on eating the whole thing. When our waiter came to take our plates he told me that it was a 14 ounce steak. No wonder I couldn’t finish. It came with hazelnut butter and cream cheese mashed potatoes that were a perfect complement.

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3306/4579533124_e6a452ea71_o.jpg

DH had the Le Cellier Mushroom Filet Mignon with risotto. He thought it very tasty and was well prepared. Sorry the picture is blurry.

http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4054/4578904941_cc3ec3854f_o.jpg

DD had the cheese pizza.

http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4031/4579534338_172a4d095f_o.jpg

For dessert Dh and I both had the Chocolate on Chocolate Whiskey Cake. It was very good and moist and not too chocolaty a good ending to the meal.

http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4043/4579534802_8c54ae95ca_o.jpg

DD had the Ice Cream Sunday.

http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4007/4579535182_10170a4175_o.jpg

I really enjoyed our meal at Le Cellier. I thought the food was good and a good deal for one credit, the service was pretty good. My DH thought that restaurant could use a facelift, but we would definitely eat at Le Cellier again.

Wonderful review!!! Great photos. Your daughter is soooo cute.
Did you have to pay extra for the hamburger when you ate at Ohana (just wondering b/c we are on DxDDP on our next trip), I wanted to try Ohana but I'm worried if my son would eat the food and he does not eat chicken nuggets/fingers too and I read your review and Ohana provided Hamburger for your Daughter.

They did not charge us extra for the hamburger. I thought they might because we were half way through the meal when she declared there was nothing for her to eat. They offered a choice of regular kids meals I think they included a hamburger, hot dog, or chicken fingers.

My Dh questioned why I oreder it. It also wasn't very smooth it had little chunks of ice in it. The Mango (Niagra Refresher) that DD had was wonderful it was kind of like an ice cream treat I ate as a kid called a push up it was wonderful and I really should have asked to change it out.

Crystal Palace

One thing I like about the deluxe dining plan is that you can include a lot of character dining and still do more foodie restaurants. I like the character meals for breakfasts because you can usually get an early dining time and make it for rope drop or be already in the park for park opening. I also find that my DD doesnít eat much at character meals because she is so excited, but she loved waffles, bacon and fruit so we can usually get her eat.

http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4061/4589362494_1c436c77c1.jpg

Our reservation was for 8:05 and we checked into the Crystal Palace before they had opened. We were seated quickly, one table down from where we sat when we visited last year and we had the same waiter. He took our drink orders and told us to visit the buffet. The restaurant was still fairly empty.

http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4038/4578907799_eb240bca55.jpg

The food was all very fresh looking and they had a good selection of breakfast food. Two things that Crystal Palace serves that I have not seen at other buffets are chocolate Mickey waffles and puffed french toast, found in the childrenís section of the buffet. I found the food to be very good, Crystal Palace is one of the better character breakfast buffets. I forgot to take pictures until part way through.

http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4066/4578908147_5ecaa382d8_o.jpg
From the to bacon, a mickey waffle, smoke salmon, and berries. the puffed french toast and pineapple is missing. So...

http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4035/4579538416_ed98b5054c_o.jpg
...I went back for seconds ;) The puffed toast was very good, it was still warm!

http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4014/4579537258_9fdc52a49e_o.jpg

The characters stopped by for pictures and autographs. First we saw Piglet followed by Tigger.

http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4042/4669466360_cef8b57fdf.jpg

http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4060/4668842423_7fd3e03c4a.jpg

They then did the character March around the restaurant.

http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4053/4668842793_ef3b21ab29.jpg

After the March Pooh and Eeyore stopped by. I am very impressed at how well the non-face characters sign their name, but Eeyore was the most impressive.

http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4001/4668843207_0e681b906e.jpg

http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4063/4668843455_1a65041c19.jpg

Once Eyeore stop by we paid our bill and headed out to Magic Kingdom.

The characters seem to come by slowly at The Crystal Palace, we were not finished until after 9am so we did miss rope drop, the same thing happened last year. If you are concerned about making it to rope drop I would recommend asking for your bill when you first sit down that way you can leave as soon as you see the last character, it could save you 5-10 minutes. I would probably eat at the Crystal Palace again, my daughter like s the characters and the food is better than many of the other character buffets.

Up next tea at the Grand Floridian Tea Room.

We were at Magic Kingdom until around 1pm when we decided to go back to the hotel to rest. I really enjoyed staying at GF because it was just a quick trip back to the hotel. Originally we had an ADR for California Grill but we had managed to book the Wishes dessert party for tonight and I thought it would be too much food so I had moved the California Grill to earlier in the trip, and booked an early reservation at Boma in it’s place, but when we got back to the hotel we didn’t feel like driving over to AKL. Instead we called reservations and booked an ADR for the Tea Room. Calling reservation took about 15 minutes on the phone. When we went down to check in they didn’t have the reservation. If I was staying at GF again I would just walk down and check in it wasn’t very busy and they were talking walk ups.

The tea room is very a small sunny room at the far end of the GF Lobby a very nice spot for tea. We were seated at a table along near the lobby. The woman who seated us gave DD a little bracelet, I think it is the same one that they give out at the princess tea so that was a nice treat for her. Our server brought us the menus and went over it with us. Our ADR was later in the tea serving and while the service was good it felt rushed.

http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4041/4578910717_265fb67e32_o.jpg

I ordered the Grand Tea, which included a variety of tea sandwiches, scones and jam tarts, followed by a choice of freshly baked tea pastries or English trifle, accompanied by a glass of Domaine Ste.-Michelle sparkling wine and your choice of tea. I picked the vanilla rooibas for my tea. I have taken the descriptions of the teas from allears.net.

http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4004/4579540072_7894294a64_o.jpg

The tea sandwiches includes shrimp salad, egg salad, chicken salad, watercress and cucumber and pear and gorgonzola. The tea sandwich plate also included an onion tart and pate. I liked the shrimp and chicken salad, and the pear and gorgonzola sandwich. The cucumber and watercress was very bland and tasted more of butter. I don’t like egg salad so DH ate it. The sandwiches were very cold like they were pulled from the refrigerator and served.

http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4047/4578912795_06a03bcd9a_o.jpg

http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4060/4578912417_e30492914e_o.jpg

I chose scones and a jam tart for the next course. You get 2 scones strawberry preserves and devonshire cream and a strawberry jam tart. DD ate the tart and enjoyed it. The scones do have raisins, I prefer scones without, but they were still very good with the preserves and cream.

http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4057/4578915015_cbfc385095_o.jpg

http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4020/4579542922_91df67e592_o.jpg

I was also able to choose to pastries and chose a chocolate strawberry and an eclair. The eclair was good. DD was not happy with her choice of the pistachio cream filled swan so she ate my strawberry. I thought this would happen and chose the strawberry with her in mind. The swan was good the cream was more of a pastry cream than a whipped cream.

http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4055/4578915287_09e049e7c9_o.jpg

My tea was good, since it was a herb tea it was served in a tea press not a traditional pot.

DH had Prince Edward's Tea an array of duck and cherry terrine, chicken and pork roulade, country pate en croute, and English Blue Stilton, the "King" of English cheeses. Served with marinated fresh berries, and Cumberland sauce. We then offer our delicious fresh-baked scones served with rich Devonshire cream. Your choice of our tea with a glass of our Fonseca Bin 27 Character Port. He had the Gardenview Blend.

http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4055/4579540734_aab77c442a_o.jpg

DH drinks a fair amount of tea and enjoyed the Gardenview tea. His meal was enormous and he enjoyed it. For his second course he had scones with preserves and cream

DD had Mrs. Potts tea, for the young tea lover in your party, we offer a variety of tea sandwiches, tuna salad, ham and cheese, peanut butter and jelly on white bread. We serve our magical dark tea (chocolate milk), followed by a choice of two pastries.

http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4027/4578913767_807dc1efbd_o.jpg

DD only liked her ham and cheese sandwich which looked like it was hand sliced from a whole ham (not thin sliced deli ham). We asked if she could have a second ham and cheese and they were happy to exchange all her sandwiches for ham and cheese. We only took one, I knew she would not eat 3 ham and cheese but it was nice that they were so accommodating. For her pastries she chose a cream filed swan and a chocolate strawberry. For tea she had chocolate milk but had she wanted tea she could have chosen one. She really enjoyed the tea party and I think it is a good more reasonable priced alternative to the Perfectly Princess tea.

Overall we enjoyed the tea and would go back. I do think I would possibly buy items a la carte, so we could share and get just what we wanted.

Since it is not part of the dining plan we paid OOP for a total of $60.71+tip.

Where has the summer gone? It has flown by and I haven't had a chance to update my dining report. I will try to put up the rest of my pictures and include some comments. I hoping to wrap it up this week and hopefully the thread won't get closed before I am done.

First up Wishes Dessert Party.

They had a pretty good selection of desserts and did a good job of keeping them restocked. The desserts themselves were mediocre. The chocolate strawberries were waxy, and the tarts were very soggy. I did enjoy the mango shooters, something that I would not have expected and I thought the chocolate brownies were good.

As others have reported you sit at the tables until the fireworks start. Then everyone moves to the rail to watch the fireworks. At our party a little fight broke out about who had rights to a potion of the rail. It didn't amount to much but it was surprising since there was plenty of room.

http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4058/4578920925_27b5899a11_o.jpg (http://www.flickr.com/photos/52928131@N00/4578920925/)

After the fireworks we sat and waited for the crowds to clear out. The CM's came around to the tables to let people know that there were desserts still available and that they would be clearing them away soon. So if you wanted to enjoy desserts after the fireworks there is an opportunity to do so.

It was a nice spot to watch the fireworks and we had a nice spot to sit and wait for them to start. I would not recommend the party if you are looking for yummy desserts, but if you are looking for a guaranteed spot with minimal fuss to watch the fireworks then the party is a good choice. I probably would not do it again.

This was our free day, we had no parks or ADR's planned for the day. We spent most of the morning at the pool. In the afternoon we went to play mini golf at the Winterland/Summerland course. My DD loved it.

After an afternoon of mini golf and noticing how grumpy DD was getting I realized she really hadn't had much to eat that day. So we headed over to AKL to see if we could get in to eat at Jiko. When we arrived DD remembered eating at Boma the last time we were her and she wanted to eat there. Much to my surprise they were able to seat us immediately.

I really enjoy the nut crusted salmon and fufu that they serve. And of course Boma's desserts are fantastic. My DH said to me 'Why couldn't the dessert party have desserts that were this good?" and I agree.

Here is the bread pudding, a zebra dome, mango pannacotta?, and a cheesecake. All of them were great.

The only bad thing about the meal was that we ordered a wine flight and the glasses that the wine came in were coated with a thick layer of dust. When we pointed it out to our waitress she asked what we would like her to do about it. I kind of thought it was obvious that we wanted new glasses. :rotfl:

Since we were on DxDp and had eaten dinner at a lot of 1 credit restaurants (Le Cellier, Boma, 'Ohana) I was looking for a way to use up some credits, so I booked lunch at Hollywood Derby. I wasn't expecting to much from lunch since I had found other restaurants in DHS to be only ok.

Our reservation was for the first seating so we were there to see the opening ceremony. We were seated at a booth which was nice.

I believe we we had an ADR for Citricos this night but decided to cancel and order room service. A nice thing about GF is that you can order off of the Narcoossee menu. It cost 2 dining credits but includes gratuity. We did tip the room service guy a little extra on top. Overall this was the best monetary use of credits.

They set up for room service is nice with a pull out table.

Dh had the crab cakes, he thought they were good but probably would have been better in the restaurant.

I had the calamari and it definitely would have been better in the restaurant. It was good but had a lot of green olives in it, it also was a little rubbery, but I thought it was because of the traveling.

For our mains we had the mushroom scallop risotto, it was very good, but very rich.

Dessert for both of us was the almond crusted cheesecake. I didn't like it. I know it is a favourite on this board, but I thought it tasted like a no bake cheesecake, which I don't like. It was very rich and too sweet.

DD had a hamburger.

The meal was good, you can order anything off the menu including the lobster. The room service person tried to talk me into it when my first pick was not available. We live in the Maritimes so lobster is not particularly exotic and at the time we traveled you could buy local lobster for $5.00 a pound, so the price they were selling it for at Narcoossee seemed a little high.

The plusses for room service are that you are not stuck with a set ADR time, and it really is good value for your dining credits. I would recommend picking dishes that travel well and checking out the posted menu so you know what they are serving. We checked the menu off allears and it was a little off

I really like CRT for breakfast. I don't know if I would think it was as great if I was paying out of pocket, but if you are on DxDp it is a good use of credits. Included in the price is a professional picture with Cinderella and the gratuity. Our reservation was for 8:00am and we were seated quickly. I like how efficient the staff is. I know that some people feel it is rushed, but both times we have done it we had breakfast saw all the princesses and were out waiting for rope drop at fantasyland which is great.

They do have a limited menu that starts with pastries and fruit. Both are fresh and good.

I had the stuffed french toast it was fresh and well prepared. It is like having a dessert for breakfast;).

Dh had the savoury choice. He really enjoyed his as well.

I don't have a picture of DD, she was not in a princess meeting mood that morning. The kids breakfast is french toast dippers and I think it includes sausage and bacon. I think that this is the one area CRT could do better with a couple choices for kids. DD was not impressed and I don't think she ate any of it. She did have a croissant and some fruit.

I would recommend CRT it is rushed but done well.

Last time we were at Disney we loved Artist point so it was on our list this time.

They started us with an amuse bouche. It was very good.

For starters I had a salad with pears and gorgonzola, it was good better than expected.

For my main I had the signature dish of salmon with a side of truffle fries. It was disappointing. The salmon was cooked well but a little bland. The fries were very good. Our waitress was extremely attentive to the point of being annoying. I had finished my salmon dish but thought I would have a few more fries, but they were cleared away before I had a chance to get a word out.:rotfl:

Both of our desserts were the highlight of the meal.

DH had a goat cheese cheese cake with huckleberry ice cream.

It was our last night before we checked out, and we had thought we would see about doing a walk up at Citricos but in the end we decided to spend more time at the pool and order room service.

DD had the same as before a hamburger and fries.

I had Crab-crusted Alaskan Halibut crushed Fingerling Potatoes, yellow & green pea tendrils, and Meyer Lemon Sauce, it was also very good. The flavour was nice and a little rich. The portion was huge and Dh ate a large amount of mine which was good because of DD.

We still had 2 credits remaining on this day, luckily we were able to get a late check out. Our plane wasn't leaving until 6pm, so we had time to swim and use up the rest of our credits.

The Gaspirilla grill sells your standard counter service meal I am not a fan of CS and probably would have been happier with a muffin for breakfast. I don't have any pictures.

After swimming and packing up we sent our luggage to guest services and went to our last meal at GF Cafe. We didn't have an ADR and had no trouble getting in to the restaurant, this hands down was the worst service we had the whole trip. Our waitress disappeared for looooong periods of time and the food was only ok.

I had crab cakes to start. They were ok.

Overall we were very unimpressed with with restaurant the food was mediocre and the service was awful and the staff seemed to have a bit of an attitude. I wouldn't go back, or recommend it. In the same spot next time I probably would walk over to Kona or take the monorail to the Wave.

This is the second time we have done DxDp and we enjoyed it both times. Had we paid OOP for the food we ordered we would have paid about $1000 more. Now we probably would not have ordered as much food had we been paying out of pocket but I still feel that we saved $500 by being on the dining plan. I think if you do a lot of Signature dining and don't enjoy CS DxDp is for you. We were staying at a monorail resort and had a car so it saved us transportation time getting to the restaurants. We also discovered that room service gives you more flexibility in your schedule while still allowing you use your credits.

I would get the DxDp plan again. When I add up the cost of the restaurants that we want to dine at it makes sense for us. We did have a lot of extra snack credits this time because we brought refillable water bottles with us. We stopped at the Mainstreet candy store on our last day and used up our remaining credits.

Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoyed my food reviews. I will leave you with a few snack pictures.

We found that days when we had only 2 meals were much better than the 3 meal days. Your times look good I would mybe go for a later dinner if possible.

It really depends where you are eating if you are doing buffets I found it easier to eat lighter than at sit down restaurants were you get your app, entree, and dessert. Signature meals are great because they help you use your credits and IMO the meals were nicer.

Great reviews! How does the room service work? Are the dishes from Narcoossee and Citrico's in the GF in the room service menu, or do you just call up and say you want to order something from Narcoossee? Is that only at GF or at any resort with onsite restaurants?

We called the room service number and asked if we could order food from the Narcoossee menu. The menu was not in the room. The first night I looked at allears menu, but it was a little out of date, so the second time we ordered we checked out the menu posted outside of the reastaurant before we ordered.

I am not sure if only GF does this or if it could be done at any deluxe. I had read about it in the GF thread on the resort board. It was great, the Narcoossee menu was much better than the regular room service menu.

When we stayed at GF we also had room service from Narcoossee's and High Tea from Garden View Lounge Afternoon tea (my son was napping so they set it up on our balcony while he sleep).
When we stayed in AKL, my son was too tired so we called room service and had Jiko food delivered to our room. Its wonderful having signature meals delivered b/c when our son is too tired it makes it easier for my husband and I to still have a good meal.
Thank you so much for your reviews...I have enjoyed reading.

Our server while friendly was not fantastic. He took a long time to make it over to our table and made the comment that he had been given two tables to look after. It didnít fill me with confidence.

It took a long time to get our bill and then pay it so we were a little late for rope drop

I have to ask if your server's name was David. We had him when we had breakfast at Kona on 8/23 and experienced almost the exact same situation!

What a fantastic dining review!! I absolutely enjoyed reading everything....and did not know you could order room service from Narcoosees!!! So let me see if I am understanding this right.....if you eat in the restaurant, it is 2ts per person....if its room service, it's still just 2TS?? If so, I'm in! :cool1:

Yes that is correct, and the room service included the 18% gratuity.
