The Rerun show

Has anyone ever seen this new show on NBC? They re-enact scenes from famous episodes of classic sitcoms using the actual scripts. It's kinda cool...but I think a lot of the humor is in bad taste. Many of the characters are in drag. It is rather amusing seeing recreations of the old sets though....they've done Bewitched, Different Strokes, Facts of Life, and The Partridge Family.

I saw the one with Different Strokes and Partridge Family. I really liked it! Some of the actors and actresses really could do an uncanny immitation of the person they were playing, especially with the voice (The guy playing Mrs. Garrett cracked me up!)

The Partridge family "incest" (for a lack of a better word!) storyline was a bit contrived, but it was funny seeing Danny Bonaduce playing Danny again. :)

I really liked the show - Of course, I am easily amused! :)

I thought it was funny in a cheesy sort of way! It's only good for a summer replacement - it could real old real fast! Can't say that I'll make sure I'll catch the next installment.

I saw it -- I thought the ads looked funny. The show wasn't.

I've only seen the Good Times/Bewitched episode from this week though so maybe the other episodes were better. It's an interesting concept, but it was lacking in execution.

I saw the first episode...with Different Strokes & The Partridge Family. The commercials for it were much funnier than the actual show. :rolleyes: I was pretty disappointed.

I liked that Partridge Family episode but the Different Strokes one was boring.:D It was on VH1 last night.

I watched the episode of Bewitched and Whats Happening. I didn't like it.

I saw the first one. I admit I LOL'ed several times, but it did get old FAST.

I thought it might be a decent show, the concept is pretty good. The show is pretty bad. We watched the "Bewitched" one. I don't think we cracked a smile, just made a couple "Why are we watching this?" faces at each other. http://www.wdwinfo.com/sites/family/smash.gif

I've seen bits and pieces of both shows so far. I think it would be funnier if they did maybe 3 or 4 short ones, instead of 2 longer ones. They are pretty funny, but they do get old quick. If you didn't normally watch the show, you probably won't think it's funny. I have to say though that the actors are very, very good. I think the impressions have been awsome.
