Hello DISboards members! Have you ever wondered what happens when people who have formed online relationships meet up offline? We are researchers from Western Illinois University who have wondered the same thing. If you are planning to meet up with someone (for the first time) you have met on www.disboards.com sometime in the next six months we hope that you will consider participating in our study.

Participation will occur in two phases. The first phase requires you to click on the link below and complete a short survey. Later, after you meet up with someone from the DISboards offline, we will email you a second survey. Each survey should take no longer than 15 minutes to complete. We would greatly appreciate your help!

This should be an interesting study.
WISH groups meet at several races during the year.
Many meet face to face for the first time at WDW.

Well, a lot of us have already met in real life! I never imagined when I stumbled across WISH back in Jan 2005 that I would find some of the best people ever.

The first one I met was Anne and she made me feel like I belonged at the WISH gathering. Now I have best friends all over the country and even some buds in Canada and New Zealand.

Unfortunately, since there is a survey both before and after you meet this person, a meet that has already happened wouldn't be able to be used. Sorry.
