DD(7) is only 47 1/2" in her bare feet. I was reading the Aquatica website and it says she will have to wear a lifejacket all the time. Is this enforced?

We were thinking of getting annual passes, but DD is a swimmer and will not be happy in a lifejacket all day. Maybe we should just wait for next year?

Thanks!

That close, I doubt they will question on the slides but if they do, it really isn't a big deal. On Roa's Rapids, you will want to wear a life vest anyway as it is way more fun to let the rapids push you around rather than trying to "swim" around. Go for it; I am sure she will love it!!!

Last year when my son was 48" and his sister was 47" they didn't measure either of their heights on the slides.
May I suggest a pair of sandals ~ like Tevas ? That way his feet won't get hot or scraped up on the asphalt all day and he'll be tall enough ;) You can wear them in the water no problem too!
Have fun!

I don't see it enforced. It is on the Roas rapids, but mainly for smaller kids. They might in the wave pool, but I'm never over there, just in WalkAbout Waters, and most kids there don't have life vests on.

Go, have fun, don't worry.

Thanks everyone!

We went on Sunday and they never measured DD or her friend for anything. Really they didn't seem to enforce any of their own rules.

I don't think a 3yo will be able to ride any of the rides with a tube. The hole in the middle of the tubes are pretty big, it was a struggle at times for my 7yo to keep from falling through there. But the kids area is a dream come true for little kids.

I definately saw 3 yo's in Roa Rapids with life jackets on...just make sure you hold on to them as little ones seem to flow faster than adults. While we were in there a lady "found" a little boy about 3 on his own in there, he was crying and didn't seem to speak english...a lifeguard took him out and I guess brought him to lost & found.

We were there on Sunday too! Our 2nd time on our 2 week vacation....we LOVE Aquatica..:cool1: Anyhoo..our DD is 47" and when I was with her they didn't make her wear one but when she went on her own they did (Walkabout Waters). They also made her wear them on the slides that required them for under 48" even though she's a strong swimmer. We all wore them on Roa's Rapids...only because we can be lazy that way..:lmao:
