To prevent confusion, this is not a rumor but an idea of mine which I believe has potential for WDW’s Space Mountain. It is about an audio-animatronic bird as a zany robot toucan I call DRIB (bird spelled backwards). He would be placed at the front of Space Mountain greeting guests as they enter the attraction. In one segment, DRIB tells the guests when traveling to intergalactic destinations, they can learn languages they’ve never heard or spoken before. He demonstrates by saying “hello” in different languages, including animal, robot, and alien. In another segment, DRIB sings a re-themed version of the song, “Here’s to the Future and You”, which was heard back when RCA sponsored Space Mountain. A funny moment includes him reciting intergalactic places in the universe. He becomes so carried away that he begins to talk too fast which causes him to blow one of his fuses. DRIB frantically begs to be turned off, but he regains control of himself and functions normally saying “thank you” with a sigh of relief.

Here's a little tidbit...it's one thing to post speculating about something, or talking about the latest rumor. It's another thing to actually post a detailed idea. That idea then becomes poison to the company in question and will likely never happen.
Disney receives tons of emails, letters, etc. with ideas. They return them once they recognize what the letter is with a form letter saying that they did not read the letter for legal reasons.

I really like your idea. Yeah, at first I was trying to see the connection with birds and space but it is a robot... and it does seem like alot of fun. I'm sorry that Disney never allows fans to submit their ideas.
