Hi

Hope you don't mind me posting but I'm having a few problems with my new camera:confused3:confused3

I have just bought a new camera it's a Panasonic Lumix - Model is called TZ7 in the UK and ZS3 in US

I am getting to grips slowly with the actual camera controls / settings but it's connecting to other devices that is causing me a real headache.

It takes HD video in AVCHD Lite format but I cannot get it to playback on anything else than the camera itself.

I have loaded the software onto my PC (which doesn't support HD) but believed that the files would be downgraded so they would play - they did play but the sound didn't match up with the picture - they weren't in synch :confused3:confused3

Then decided that I would try to connect to the TV which is also a Panasonic and HD - I haven't got a HDMI cable for the camera yet so was connecting using the normal AV cables again it didn't work. The sound came out of the TV but the screen was just black.

So to cut a long story short I'm stuck, I would really appreciate any ideas on what I need to do next, at the moment feel I need new PC and new TV - bit extreme but am beginning to feel that the camera wasn't a great buy even though everywhere give it rave reviews.

Many thanks in advance

Need to get it sorted for all the photos and videos I plan to take at WDW :cool1::cool1::cool1:

Your PC can support the video just fine. Try using a player like VLC media player. You can download it here:

And just checking but you didn't buy an american version of this camera right?

Thanks for the reply - I will try and download the player you suggest - I just thought it was odd as I had installed the panasonic software which I thought looked good except that when I tried to play video the pictures and sound were out of synch :confused3

It was the UK version I bought - only got it a couple of weeks ago so I'm still working it out

I'll let you know how I get on

Shame I don't need new pc - was just convincing DH that I needed one. Had my eye on one of those fancy all in one's with build in HD TV and a touch scren :rotfl::rotfl:

Thanks again
