Can someone tell me how early the gym opens and what type of classes (if any) they offer in the mornings? I think I read somewhere that they have an early morning walk around deck 4 which would be great but I would like to know what else is available. Also, how crowded is the gym in the morning? I just know I'm going to have to do something to burn off all the calories I'm going to be ingesting!! ;)

Ive read about the walk the deck at 9am/830am ish. Im thinking of starting this our 1st morning. I dont want to wait till later in the week once I start feeling like blah. Im thinking some of the same walkers may be doing this every day so it would be nice to join in the group. Other than walking I havent decided if Im doing anything else besides raising the elbow - lol

They have some type of aerobics class-usually at 8. the classes are different each day-step, body sculpting, stretching. If you look at the navigators you will see them listed. The classes were crowded the first day only.

On our recent 4-day cruise, they offered cardio-kickboxing Monday, followed by an aerobics Tuesday, then a step class Wed - all at 8:00am. I believe they had more sculpt and tone things around 9:00 or 9:15 am. I seem to recall some classes at 3:00 or so, too. I did not make it to any of them, but maybe next time!;)

Has anyone used the treadmills? Is there usually a wait to get on the equipment?

I used the treadmills just about every day on our 7/6 western cruise. I usually went about 9:00, and I didn't have to wait even once. They say there is a 25 minute limit on the treadmills, but nobody was ever waiting on them when I was there...so I was able to get in my 50-minute workout!!

I know it doesn't sound like much fun to exericse while on vacation, but let me tell you, it's a lifesaver. You just don't realize how much food you could consume in a week!

Anyway, the gym is a great place to start off a day... it's not very crowded and you've got a great view (and the only place on the ship you can view) the captain's controls and the people who are running the boat.

Hope this helps. Have a magical trip.
