We've decided to see Kong off, whenever that may be. Might as well make a party of it!

Hopefully we'll all be updated frequently on the closing date / time. Eh, Earl??
The Annual Pass newsletter typically arrives a few hours after the Events' ending here. And we're a whopping 3 hours up the road!
Would like to give a proper send-off to Kong. I'll bet everyone has a good Kong story to tell!

Just got my first AP (well, 1yr+ the 2nd year free AP) for Universal. Been long time AP holders for Disney & now we are trying Universal. I will be going 3 weekends in September. Sorry to introduce myself on this thread but since Kong is closing, I better get in for the first time before its over.....

thankfully I'll be there for Labor Day weekend before the funeral of Kong but would like to join y'all for the finale day!

want to say hi to h20jag, I'm just down the street in JAX, my mom lives in Fernandina

also want to say hi to rocketman23, I'm origionally from outside pittsburgh & was surprised to see the "CEO of Kennywood" in your info, even tho they were the "Roller Coaster capital of the world" it doesnt seem too many people know them.

Well Rocketman23, it looks like it is up to you and i and MsDis to put this KONG FAREWELL together.

i would suggest we meet at MIB at 3:00 to do battle with some aliens first and then group-up between 5:15 and 5:30 at Finegans for a quick brew. Then we can see what is happening at KONG and go over as a group when we all feel the time is best.

We're going to make it there afterall. 1 PM in Alltel Stadium that day is gonna be mighty hot.
Rather watch some of it in Finnegans' and ride Kong one last time.
