View Full Version : Where Can I Find One of those Portable Fans?

I've scoured Kitchener, London, and Toronto stores for one of those battery operated portable fans. No one seems to have them, not even the Dollar Store. All the store owners know what I want, they just have no idea where they can be bought. Can anyone suggest a chain of store that sells these in Ontario?

I got mine at a discount store in the mall where I work. Its a mom n' pop type of store so I don't think they'll have another location. The fan I got was small, runs on 2 AA batteries and fits into your pocket ... It cost $1.49.

This store is located in Thornhill at the corner of Bayview and John (Thornhill Square). It might be a bit far for you. I can check if they still have any left in stock, but I'm not back at work until Monday.

I'll have to go look. Is it the store that's beside the Shopper's Drug Mart? I live in Thornhill! Small world I guess.

I saw them at Chapters the other day...they were on a rack in front of the cash counter. There were lots of them...can't remember the price though.

That's the one! The last time I saw them, they were at the front of the store. I haven't been to the store lately though ... so I'm not sure what they have in stock.

I checked today and the store (Buy-Rite) has a bunch of them in stock ... If anyone wants me to pick one up for them, just send me a PM. The fans are $1.49

Its at 300 John Street (Bayview Ave. and John St.) in the Thornhill Square mall ... I don't think they have a webpage ... Its a mom n' pop type of store.

Hmm.. Wish I was back at Seneca College, cause it's really close to that mall. Ahh, well. I don't think i'll be able to get down there before i go.. (I leave in 10 days). But that's okay, i've been looking at the Florida temperatures and they don't seem all that different from here.. :)

Thank-you for the informaiton anyways. Perhaps i'll stop off and get a fan for my next trip sometime.
