Great shots! I'll probably get out to the Downs in a couple of weeks. I'd love to get out to Dawn at the Downs, but I've got a 2nd grader to get ready for school. We were at Thunder too, sitting over by the 9th St. overpass.

The stadium expansion looks like it's coming along nicely. We've had season tickets for a few years now.

Looks like Cedar Point! Is that shot from Vermilion or Huron?

It IS Cedar Point! These were shot from Beulah Beach...We have a Vermilion address, but we're about halfway between there and Huron. I guess you know the area, huh? My signature pic was shot from the public beach in Vermilion looking towards the lagoon. I remember, I was eating a pastry from Hamman's. :)

I have tended to do better at sunset. But after a number of trips to Sanibel Island, where I try to be on the beach for every sunrise and sunset, I've decided it's hit and miss and just depends on the conditions at that particular time. I don't know if it's about the clouds or atmospheric conditions, but some sunsets are absolutely glorious, some not as much... I have never really figured out why.

My favorite sunset shots were on film. I'll have to dig them out and scan them soon!

This is a sunrise last November as it appeared. It was even better a few minutes earlier, but I couldn't get to an exit fast enough. Not much composition either.

I think sunset is much easier to take, since it doesn't require me getting up early while on vacation!

Really, it depends on the location of the subject for me. Sunset was perfect when we had a Magic Kingdom view from Bay Lake Tower. But I had to get up early to catch sunrise from the Bay Lake view. Same thing for pictures on the coast. Atlantic side needs a sunrise, the Gulf side needs a sunset!

OMG that HURTS!!!! :sad1: That is where I am trying to move to later on this year and every day is another day that I'm not there. I was there in March and went to Humiston Park (about 15-20 minutes south of Disney's resort) and tried to get a sunrise shot similar to this. Sadly, no luck. It was cloudy and drizzling when we arrived. But in all seriousness...
