I find that to be even less likely than Katzenburg returning :jester:

Certainly there is a huge downside but the anti-eisner crowd will accept anything to move forward and while I'm not anti-eisner per se, my recent trip to mecca gave me a somewhat different perspective & I now feel if Mike has no miricle finish in him let's move on...

I have seriously wanted to explore the many odd & varied feelings about my trip but I'm not sure I'm capable of saying what I mean, but I'll try.

For me Disneyland was a glimpse into the past full of the imagination of a true dreamer. Patronized by a clientele of appreciative fans. I realized that WDW is my present full of personal memories of my kids growth, my personal & financial growth (allowing for more opportunity) and the ability to escape my 'normal' worries. DCA is the future... This was a scary revelation despite the fact that we liked DCA and felt the theming was very good.

DCA is full of potential (IMO) and I know you strongly disagree Voice...But I do have to say that anyone who thought 'Tortilla Making' or watching crops grow could ever be a front line attraction has to have serious dementia problems. Thusly, I thought of Dino-Rama and Pop Century & the Downtown Disney's & as most of you know I have absolutely no problem with any of these on a one to one basis for there is always the hope of the next ToT, Space or AKL. The same holds true for DCA. It's very pretty from the GC. The layout is nice, the lands attractive and it has some very nice attractions...This Park would have been very nice as just an add-on to DL (which it is quickly becoming).

It is very painful for me to admit that if the thought process behind DCA is the best we're going to get, followed so closely by Dino-Rama and Pop Century then I wonder how I can possibly remain the glass half-full guy I've been. I still love all of WDW. I really love DL and I even like DCA quite a lot but the decision process so evident behind all of these less than Disney-esque releases prompts me to think Mike might have a drinking problem.

To further excacerbate my feelings toward Eisner was my trip ending visit to Vegas and visits to the Mirage, Mandalay Bay, Bellagio, etc. Vegas is entering Disney's realm with casino in tow. I have always thought Mike to be an astute, always lands feet first, one step ahead of the competetion type guy but after what has happened with the studios, the stores & ABC and then after viewing Vegas, I knew Mike didn't have the moxy anymore (if ever) for if he did Disney would have entered the Vegas landscape with a Disney swagger, a perfectly themed Casino & first rate attractions...They let others beat them at what they should have been best at. Now, I know most of you will part company with me on Disney entering the gaming industry but try to remember I use this as my measuring stick for ME and what I thought he was all about, not about Disney or what I personally think it should be.

OK, there you have it. I know I'll get some I told you so's and such, but I am still totally enamoured with all that Disney is currently offering me (the present). My concern is for the future...
