View Full Version : What's the one thing you WON'T take with...
that you took last year (people don't count)?
Mine is a MIckey winter scarf that I thought I'd wear to MVMCP, then decided it wasn't what I wanted to do.
Anyone else??

Based on the weather predictions, I won't take all the extra sweatshirts with me! They take up too much room in my suitcase. :)
Now watch, we'll have cool weather this year. ;)

Didn't go last year, but I guess I wouldn't bring a heavy coat.

I didn't go last year either but I probably won't be bringing....
gosh..this one is actually hard for me!!!...
Probably won't bring a swimsuit...who's gonna be at their resort long enough to swim!!!!
don't bring any reading material unless it is for the plane...you won't be reading it!

No snacks.. cuz I am dieting right up to Discon.. no reading material.. who has time to read.. Since I will be leaving from Boston, I will have a warm coat on.. but hopefully we will have great weather... We did have beautiful weather last year.
I guess the three things I will not take are my daughters.. but of course if they want to come.. they can.. ;) :)

I'm with Tia. Leave home the "free time" activity and reading! This is Disney with the Commandos!
I only had one chance to swim last year. I'm really hoping the weather is just as perfect and I get the chance to get in some more pool time. :) SO I will bring my swimsuit, but I won't be bringing any free time activities. LOL Free time-ROTFL!!!!!!!!

well I won't be bringing my family, does that count?? , I will be bringing a couple of magazines to read on the plane, a couple of sweat shirts just in case , and the usuals, I will have a heavy coat with me anyway cuz I come from the mountains, remember??

I'm not bringing my kids this time. It was fun with them but couldn't do alot of things. Like go to Linda's room and help her drink all that good rum :teeth:

Well, I was GONNA say my kids, but you said "people don't count" :p
I guess maybe not so many sweatshirts....I didn't need them. And the ONE night I was out that it got cool I didnt have one with me and ended up buying one anyway :rolleyes:

Oooooooh, all of you who are not bringing your winter clothes better think twice! I was in WDW the same week of DISCon, but the year before, and it was FREEZING! I didn't know it would get that cold in Florida.
I think I can safely say that I'll leave the duct tape at home. :)

I agree with Snoopy. LAst year was rather pleasant all the time, including evenings/nights (like MVMCP), but still I think I had a light jacket. In '99, my family and I were bundled up, Chicago style, the nights we did MVMCP, Illumination cruise and Fantasmic!. We had our winter coats (not jackets), gloves and hats. It was COLD!!!
Dan and Snoopy, you two are so right!! The last few years at that time of year it was so very cold! I ended up having to buy gloves!! :eek:
I will be following the weather reports faithfully right up until DIS-CON!!;) :)

LOL, your winter is warmer then my summer, so I wont be needing any jumpers or winter woolies :teeth:

In '99 we FROZE! Like Dan said, not just light jackets and sweatshirts....oh no! :eek: We had winter coats, mittens, and hats. Brrrrrrr.........

I almost turned into a human popsicle in December of 99. So for DISCON last year I brought down my leather jacket, mittens, hat......
They stayed in my suitcase the entire time. :rolleyes:

I agree. I don't remember what year it was, but one night at CP I was freezing with a jacket and no gloves.
The sun warms you up, but when the sun goes down and it's cold and windy beware.
I take a pair of gloves, one WDW sweatshirt, one windjacket just in case. My legs still freeze...lol. Maybe I should buy some long Big Dogs...lol.
