Oooh I know how you feel, that's my worst problem! Unfortunately nothing works for me, but I guess you could try advil or something.

what helps me, is putting pressure on it..like lay on your bed and fold a pillow and stick it under you..that helps a lot! also advil helps.

Advil is my favorite.. I get bad cramps, and it always gets rid of them. The ThermaCare (http://www.thermacare.com/index.shtml) heat wraps are also neat.. you can wear them for something like 8 hours and they usually last longer than that for me. Hope you feel better!

I feel your pain! And usually nothing helps me very much.:( I asked my doctor the last time I was there and she said the best thing you can do is to take 2 advil or tylenol or something as soon as your period starts, so you'll have it in your system right away. Also, my mom and my doctor have both said that cramps usually get better as you get older.

IB PROUFEN IS A GIFT FROM GOD. I usually take 1-3 depending on how bad it is. One time they were sooooo bad I had to take 4 and I was outside @ a swim meet!!!! I thought I was going to die! It's ok youll get thru it!!!!!

I usually use a heating pad and then curl up into a little ball on my bed, putting pressure on the area with the heating pad. Usually I just end up falling asleep and when I wake it they have ended. I also take 2 Advil.

Ugh Cramps! Advil liquid Gel caps work really well for me, because they dissolve fast. Also heating pads work well too. My family has a history of REALLY bad cramps and while it hasn't neccesarily gotten better I have learned how to control it much better and it doesn't dictate my life as much. You want to make sure you keep track of when it's coming when possible and start taking advil the day before. That really worked for me.

Aww, hunnie, I feel your pain, I have my period as we speak (type? lol).
Truthfully, nothing really worked for me...except chocolate does make me feel lots better!! hehe.
Birth control pills generally make your cramps much less painful. I went on it a few months ago b/c of bad cramps, and I hardly get them at all! (doctor prescribed, its fairly common). It also made my period much shorter, from 8 days to 4, which is always a good thing, lol.
Take anything with IB proufen in it, I would curl into a ball and cry, but thats just my technique. Like I said, the Haagen Daas double chocolate ice cream bar made me feel much better in the mall then the midol did, lol.

ok yeah I forgot one thing...excercise sometimes helps me a lot. After I take something and I feel a little better, if i go for a walk or ride an excercise bike or something it helps.

I rarely get cramps but..when i do...
Take Advil ASAP and then find out whether sitting down or walking around is more comfortable. If sitting down makes them feel better than stay seated as much as possible if walking around helps..then walk around a little and then sit down a little and repeat.

and you have to find out which way is best for you to sit, stand etc.
what helps sometime is like chocolate and something with calcium in it

Well just like the rest said.... the heating pad and advil... plus keep to drinking liquids with not much sugar mainly water... some of the glucose in sugar actually make the cramps more intense, or at least thats what my doctor told me :D

Hey...I know how you feel, girl! I hate cramps. Anyways, use a heating pad and put pressure on the area in most pain. Then take 1 to 3 Advil (depending on how bad the cramps are) and lay on your stomach. Try to go to sleep while using the heating pad...usually, when you wake up the cramps will be gone.
I hope this helped!
