Anyone remember this band out of Philly? Heard this song last night on a classic radio station, now I can't get it out of my head!

All You Zombies
by The Hooters
Holy Moses met the Pharaoh
Yeah, he tried to set him straight
Looked him in the eye, "let my people go"
Holy Moses on the mountain
High above the golden calf
Went to get the Ten Commandments
He's just gonna break them in half
All you zombies hide your faces
All you people in the street
All you sittin' in high places
The pieces gonna fall on you
No one ever spoke to Noah
They all laughed at him instead
Working on his ark, working all by himself
Only Noah saw it coming
Forty days and forty nights
Took his sons and daughters with him
Yeah, they were the Israelites
All you zombies hide your faces
All you people in the street
All you sittin' in high places
The rain's gonna fall on you
Holy Father, what's the matter
Where have all your children gone
Sitting in the dark, living all by themselves
You don't have to hide anymore
All you zombies show your faces...

I remember The Hooters!! I remember seeing them before they became known, in Harrisburg, in a club called The Metron :)

Me too! I remember them! I used to love them!!
This was my fave. song by them:
And We Danced
The Hooters
She was a bebop baby on a hard day's night
She was hanging on Johnny, he was holding on tight
Well I could feel her coming from a mile away
There was no use talking, there was nothing to say
When the band began to play and play
And we danced
Like a wave on the ocean, romanced
We were liars in love and we danced
Swept away for a moment by chance
And we danced and danced and danced
I'm with my bebop baby at the union hall
She could dance all night and shake the paint off the walls
When I saw her smile across the crowded room
Well I knew we'd have to leave the party soon
As the band began to play out of tune
And we danced...
The endless beat
She's walking my way
Hear the music fade when she says
Are we getting too close?
Do we dare to get closer?
The room is spinning and she whispers my name
And we danced...
And we danced...

I used to work as a reporter for a local paper. I went to see them with a press pass at Delilah's near Brigantine NJ. It is now Delilah's den, a strip club I think.
My sister and her friend were huge teeny bopper fans. They even baked a cake once for one of the band members birthday and got to give it to him during a concert. They got a kiss and died. LOL

Blondie, I have a Hooters story..
93.3 (WMMR) used to have a contest for local high schools. The schools/station had a spirit contest.
Whichever high school wrote the most cards with something to the effect of 93.3 rules or something like that and mailed them in would win the contest.
This was my freshman year of high school, 1984. Well, Lenape Regional High School (my school) won! The prize was an appearance with Pierre Robert, (the DJ), and the Hooters....very very cool!
My neighbor friend was a secrtary or something like that of the Hooters fan club... she was usually always going to the concerts and such...
I loved their first album and independent label, called AMore, not the first national release Nervous Night. I loved Amore, and I can't find it anymore!
It reminds me so much of high school
They really should do a local tour, I'm sure there is enough interest for them to come back.. I would see them.

So...here I am listening to Radio Free Virgin (Burning Down the 80's) at work, and what comes on?
Blood From a Stone by the Hooters! Another good one.
