View Full Version : lanyards
Can someone explain to me what exactly they are referring to as the lanyards that they use for the room key/card. Where do you buy such a thing and how do you attach the card to it? Thanks in advance:Pinkbounc

Lanyards are like rope necklaces with a metal clasp on the end. You can punch a hole in one of the corners of your KTTW and attach to the clasp to wear around your neck. Or you can buy a plastic container of some sort that has a hole in it and attach it to the clasp and keep your KTTW in the container. You can find the lanyards at WalMart in the jewelry section (different designs). Also the gift shops on the ship have the lanyards with the plastic containers already attached. That is where I bought mine and it came in very handy. My daughter ended up using it.

For a close-up view of a DCL lanyard, <a href="http://www.primateprojections.com/travel/dcllanyard.jpg">CLICK HERE</A>. Note: It does not come with any pins and the spot holding my name card is where you put your KTTW card. This is only one type of lanyard. You can also get them with the waterproof plastic hard case.

We bought our lanyards at the dollar store. They are a cute patriotic theme of red, white and blue. We found the clear cases, which hold your key to the world card, and your driver's license when you are departing the ship and need a photo ID, at a sporting goods store in the canoe area. They worked out great!

Taswira,
The name card shown in your lanyard - where does that come from? Does everyone get one or is that something you made on your own?
Thanks,
Tammy

No, that does not come with the lanyard. I got that when I was on DCL's "<I>Discover Uncharted Magic</I>" Agent Cruise College on the Wonder in January. I just keep it in the holder, and put my KTTW card on the other side.
