Was just watching the news and they were talking about some Tyco Top Dog paying $5,000 for a shower curtain!!!My goodness!! That's a trip to WDW for my family with $$ left over for schools clothes and maybe a reasonably new car!!!:jester:

How much do you pay for a shower curtain??? I buy Walmart's $3.99 one!! It's blue with no design!!:o

Mine was a little more expensive, because I don't like plastic liners. I have a solid green cloth liner and a cloth curtain that is base tan with a burgundy and green floral pattern. Paid more for the solid ($6.99) than the print ($3, clearance at Kohl's)

What would a shower curtain be made of to cost $5,000????

I am having trouble deciding on my decorating theme in my bathroom. Right now there is a cloudy clear plastic curtain, waiting to be replaced by something cuter. Got it at Walmart for like $3.

I am famous among from my friends and family because I once bought 27 different shower curtains for one bathroom, and ended up returning them all. I ended up having one custom made because I couldn't find one that I liked. Everyone STILL teases me. I hate to tell you what I paid for the custom made one (yikes!).

I have a kind of expensive one for both the master bathroom and the boys bathroom.

Ours I got on sale at the JC Penney catalog outlet. It was priced at $50.00 (I'd never pay THAT much) and I got it for $24.99.

The boys I didn't get a discout on.....I think it was around $30.00. It also came from JC Penney (the regular store--not the outlet) and we got the matching shower hooks (whales, dolphins, etc.)

The shower curtain liners I buy cheap because they never last long anyway!

Im not sure of the cost of mine because I bought with all my other stuff. But it is actually made up of 2 curtains. They are the ones in the Disney Catalog with the blue Mickey and Minnies on it. They are shown inthe catalog in a bedroom set. My neighbor sewed 2 together and shortened them a little to make me a shower curtain. She also shortened 2 other ones and made tie backs to use as regular curtains. And I had to get the curtain rod, border and rug to match. :) I now have a Disney bathroom!

Our new condo has a mirrored glass door (who wants to see their body before jumping into the shower? ) I have always like a colorful curtain on a tub enclosure. When we went house furnishing hunting my fiance was puzzled why I insisted on buying a shower curtain since we don't need one. I didn't get a plastic liner, but got a pretty tropical fish cloth one that I hung outside the tub enclosure. It matches the rest of the tropical fish decor I decorated the bathroom in. I think I paid between 25.00 and 35.00 for it. i wanted the 5000, but since we REALLY don't need one, I resisted! LOL!

Mine is Mickey. Not sure how much it cost, as it was a gift from my son and his wife. They got it down at Disney on one of their trips.:D

I have a clear liner that was given to me brand new in package by a friend who got shower doors, A beautiful fish print cloth shower curtain in bright colors that I paid .25 cents for at Kmart on clearance & fishy shower hooks that match exactly that my Mom got a a garage sale. I even sponge painted my bathroom to match the .25 curtain:p

Right now we have a glad door (thank goodness) but before we would buy a decent cloth one from Target (for about $10 or so) and then replace the liners whenever they needed to be.

My outer one is cloth and has all sorts of tropical fish on it. I think it cost about $25 at BEd Bath and Beyond. The inner liner is a cloth one too, but it was $5.99 at Target. I got sick of the plastic ones getting all ripped so we are trying cloth- so far so good. Ps- it all matches the blue walls, the blue paint was "oops paint" at home depot, it cost $1 for a gallon. We are bargain hunters, no $5000 shower curtain:eek:
