Has anybody ever tried to rent just vests at Castaway Cay to snorkel? We found fins, masks, and breathing tubes at a great price at a local sporting goodsstore so I bought two sets so DD could practice and we wouldn't have to rent for more than we could buy them for. Then I realized there were no vests. Instead of driving all over to find one, I thought maybe soembody could tell me if I could rent just the vest and, if so, how much they charge.
Thanks!

use of life vests at CC are complimentary. You just help yourself.

that's right - we took our own snorkel gear and just picked up a vest - in addition to being complimentary they are also manditory!

Thanks for the info. I was looking all over town for the vests. Glad they are free.

we bought our own life vests, but we travel a lot to go snorkeling on our own, and that is the only reason we did purchase them. All snorkeling excursions also include the use of a life vest.

The vests are free and required on CC and my ds-8 did feel more comfortable with his inflated as he got tired in the second hour of snorkeling. We also went snorkeling in Cayman and Cozumel without vests and had no problems. I wouldn't buy them unless we could snorkle all year.
