Wishes Cruise

Hey all... I thought I would ask if anyone has taken this cruise and if they liked it... Is it possible to get good pictures from the pontoon boat? Or does the boat move too much with the water to get long exposure shots? Does anyone have any examples of photos taken on the cruise? I have seen a few youtube videos from the cruise, but can't seem to find many pictures, and am trying to figure out if I want to spend the money for this cruise or if it is not worth it...

I have not taken it, but in the trip report thread, someone with a camera did. From what I recall reading, the photography was difficult because of the boat movement. They thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

Yes, we did this last Nov. I actually only took my P&S to get pictures of us on the boat. It was windy and lots of rocking of the boat and any long exposures would not have worked. You could do shorter hand held exposures that would catch a burst. I wouldn't say to not take the camera but I would say that anything will need to be hand held.

I have pictures from the Grand 1 Yacht for a Wishes Cruise. The rocking wasn't bad at all but the boat does drift thereby making long exposures not work.

The pontoon boats do move quite a bit. When we went it was a calm night and I took pictures of the fireworks, but they are really just momentos of the evening. They aren't the worse fireworks pictures I have seen, but they are far from the best.

My suggestion would be to just enjoy the time, take a handheld for memories sake, and if you really want some good shots of the fireworks from outside the park look to the Ticket and Transportation Center. That's where I got this one.

That is a great shot from the T&TC... I appriciate all the input, and that is kinda what I was suspecting... We are going to plan on hitting Wishes from the Poly Beach on our arrival night so that will give me some firework shots outside the park... We will see what happens...
