Great Hotel at BEACH

Just back from a wonderful trip..ended with 2 nites in DAYTONA

Stayed at the OCEAN WALK RESORT.

WHat a great place....all cono-type rooms...with washer and dryer...went home with all clean clothes...yippie

and they had a LAZY RIVER AND A HUGE WATER SLIDE.
not to mention the beach.

I just found this place surfing the web....and we really loved it..

THought i would pass it on to anyone else looking for a great beach hotel.

What was the rate you paid.

Have booked into a Courtyard by Marriott in Cocoa Beach for two nights but could extend our stay in Daytona.

This place was great. IT is a vacation club type resort...I learned from speaking with other guests that IF you call and say...
YOUR friend got one of these resort Invitations to visit the hotel

They may give it to you as well...

the deal was 2 nites for 69.00
tickets to the daytona raceway
30.00 meal voucher.

all you had to do was listen to the schpeilllll.....you know what i mean..the presentation.

I didnt know anything about it when i booked...I paid 189.00per nite.

FIrst time i called the quoted me 229.00 per nite...I called back and asked for a MILITARY RATE...they gave me the 189.00
My sisters hubby is in the miliatary and they were with us...
BUT, they NEVER asked for the ID>


ALso, they had all kinds of activities great for kids all day long...like every hour...Ice cream social...tye-die shirts, alligator races in the pool, duck races in the lazy river, movie time.....all kinds of fun stuff!....

Hope this helps....stay away from HOG HEAVEN...YUK! restaurant across the street....was aweful!

Oceanwalk is a new Fairfield property on Daytona Beach. I did a sales tour when it was under construction. If it looks anything like the models, then it is magnificent. All of the feedback I have heard has been positive. I plan on giving it a shot within the next year.
