:banana::banana: Glad to see you started your PTR, Tracy! I love hearing about your and Bill's adventures, and the ups and downs of your Disney vacations. I haven't been to WDW in 5 years :sad2:, but I hope to go back before too long. Your P/TRs fill the void in the meantime! :cool1:

Hi http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm243/mrskenchanted/tons%20of%20smileys/greenwave.gif, I am Tracy. Lately you could call me the trip reporter who cried wolf. I HAD a PTR that was going to cover our trips in May, October, and December of 2010.
Well May got thrown out the window due to obligations in an advocacy group, October got cancelled due to being crazy enough to think we should spend money on two sets of airfare, two sets of dog boarding, two sets of well everything. Our Disney want was outweighed by our real life needs, but we ARE going this year.
We have a pin code and we love the Christmas decorations. Last time we were in WDW was November 2009 and we are really missing our Happy Place. We need to go for our mental health and well being, seriously. Oh, and we will be celebrating my birthday something we have never done in Disney.
So if you will give me one last chance http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm243/mrskenchanted/Enchanted%20Smileys/beggingpleasesmiley.gif, I promise there will be a real PTR, one that will stay here. The only changes I see this time would be ADR changes and heck who doesn’t do that?
Oh, I seem to have a theme with my trip installments a lot and this time is no different. We picked 80’s song titles/lyrics. So now you know it, we are odd.
It’s introduction time, aren’t you happy? I am hoping I will have some readers (besides Toni http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm243/mrskenchanted/tons%20of%20smileys/4LOL.gif) and I figured I should just introduce us yet again.
Me, Tracy (sound like a caveman don’t I http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm243/mrskenchanted/Enchanted%20Smileys/tantrumwithstick.gif ) 40, “super pooh sized”, computer addicted, I have a silly sense of humor, and most of all I’m Walt Disney World obsessed. This will be my 8th Disney trip.
Him, Bill, very intelligent, has Cerebral Palsy and uses in a motorized wheelchair. He has a wicked sense of humor and has become addicted to MLB The Show on PS3 lately. This will be Bill’s 13th Disney trip. Here we are in trips through the years:
Feb. 2006, my first trip, we stayed at Port Orleans French Quarter, my son was with us and took the picture:
http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z67/mrsksomeday/BillandTracy.jpg
Nov. 2006, 2nd trip: I can’t find one picture of us together. This was before the DIS and I never thought about asking someone to take a picture for us: http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm243/mrskenchanted/tons%20of%20smileys/scared07.gif.
Nov. 2007, 3rd trip:
http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z67/mrsksomeday/Epcot%20day%201%20nov%205/BillandTracyepcot.jpg
June 2008, 4th trip:
http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm243/mrskenchanted/WDW%20June%202008/2nd%20day%20DHS%20SWW/8fde7ffb.jpg
Oct. 2008, 5th trip:
http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm243/mrskenchanted/11-08%20wdw%20trip/1%20Travel%20and%20day%201/BillTracyDopey.jpg
Nov. 2008, 6th trip:
http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm243/mrskenchanted/11-08%20wdw%20trip/5%20day%205/WDW11-08717.jpg
Nov. 2009, 7th trip:
http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm243/mrskenchanted/WDW%20Nov%202009/8%20Disney%20Day%207%20DHS%20MK/Image0289.jpg
Lastly is Ace. He is our 5 year old Jack Russell/Rat Terrier furbaby. He hates storms, tries to attack power windows and windshield wipers in the van, and loves us unconditionally. There is not a day that goes by when we don’t have an “aww” moment looking at him. We love this dog so much more than I can ever express. Here are some pictures of him:
http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y140/tabrx/Ace/b698.jpg
He hides out under the table when he is scared:
http://i233.photobucket.com/albums/ee224/sirkaiserwilliam/ace%20pix/1Aceundertable.jpg
Proof that he is belongs with us:

The Castle has always been enchanting to me. To me it signifies dreams, hopes, believing, and magic. Every time we watch Wishes, I am immediately taken back to the very first time Bill and I watched it. Seeing the Castle with the fireworks going off and hearing the crowd react gives me goosebumps to this day. I can remember watching it and tears streaming down my face because I was THERE, I was actually in WDW, something I never thought would happen. Then they added the lights to the Castle, we were there the first night they did it. We were in awe, amazed and many other words.
Bill and I can’t get enough of it so we decided since there was only one trip this year we had to make sure to go at a time when we could see this again:
http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm243/mrskenchanted/11-08%20wdw%20trip/1%20Travel%20and%20day%201/travel%201a/WDW11-08172.jpg
When and where, split stay:
http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm243/mrskenchanted/WildernessLodge_2079.jpg and http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm243/mrskenchanted/logo-Pop_Century2.jpg
November 28th – December 7th Wilderness Lodge: We were going to go in December but moved up a couple of days because that is when oregonmommy and oregondaddy are going to be there http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm243/mrskenchanted/tons%20of%20smileys/dancegirl3.gif http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm243/mrskenchanted/tons%20of%20smileys/7cb7bf46.gif. This is Bill’s dream resort for Christmas, he really wanted to go here and since we only have one set of vacation things to pay instead of two and we have a 40% off pin code why not? We are doing regular dining and getting Bill an AP (I already have one).
We thought about deluxe dining, but for 9 nights that is 54 credits http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm243/mrskenchanted/tons%20of%20smileys/7.gif. I love Bill too pieces but the man eats s l o w l y, we would be spending all our time in restaurants. So after we got that out of our head Bill wouldn’t let go of the thought that we would not be in Disney for my birthday. So he said why don’t we use the money would have had to have for the upgrade the dining to stay at Pop for a couple of nights? Hmmm http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm243/mrskenchanted/tons%20of%20smileys/confused2.gif, staying more days in Disney, would I pass that up???
December 7th – December 10th Pop Century: To get the 40% off at the Wilderness Lodge we had to buy a package, but with Pop we can do the room and dining only because of my AP http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm243/mrskenchanted/tons%20of%20smileys/dance.gif. Now Disney usually gives AP holders some type of discount that will be released later this year so we decided to upgrade the dining to deluxe for these three nights. Why. you might ask? That is for another installment, the one that includes the ADR’s we want to try to get.
There you have it, the dates we are going and the places we are staying, neither will change. I have everything budgeted out, we are way ahead with money compared to if we would have taken both trips. I am very sad to let go of the Ip Dip trip, they have all been so wonderfully understanding and supportive of our decision and I cherish all of them. I would have been a mess with panicking about money and I won’t do that anymore. We had enough for both trips but I don’t want to touch savings or worry about possibly having to do so. This just gives me better piece of mind.
Next installment…what happens when two OCDish Disney obsessed planners get together?

Hi Derek, thanks so much from posting!! We love WL and can't wait to see it all decorated for Christmas. I love Pop just like Jordan so it is the best of both worlds for us.
ok i'm here.
Hi!!

Yes, that is Melissa Claire Egan from All my Children. We met her at SSW in 2008. She is the sweetest woman and the only one that actually touched Bill (besides Kassie DePaiva). Most people don't touch Bill, I think they are worried for some reason so it really made him happy she wasn't afraid to. NO you can't shoot her, she is a great crazy person!

Enchanted is a ton of work for Scott and Kristel, not to mention the costs of running such a board. I am not sure what other factors might have went into it but I know those are some of the factors.

(actually text me)
As many of you know Disney message boards can help you find great friends. I have been fortunate to meet some of the Ip Dippers (still upset we won’t be there this year), some DISers, and KathyRN and family. They have been highlights of our trips. Great, fantastic, caring people, so you know that makes us want to meet even more people right?
I think Jordan was the one that mentioned oregondaddyof2 on one of his threads. I am not sure when I first started reading their reports. I loved their sense of humor and thought it was so cute that oregondaddyof2 Terry and oregonmommyof2 Toni both posted on their reports. I would show Bill Terry’s pictures and he would oooh and ahhh over them and say we needed a camera like that. I informed him it wasn’t only the camera but the photographer http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm243/mrskenchanted/tons%20of%20smileys/photosmile.gif that captures those gorgeous pictures and I would be sticking to my trusty point and shoot.
The talk of meeting each other began in Feb. 22nd on their “The could we?? should we?? PTR” (http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2402826), if you are not reading this WHAT are you waiting for? At that point Bill and I had talked about going to Disney around the 7th of December and I had joked that I needed to add a day or two so I could stalk them http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm243/mrskenchanted/tons%20of%20smileys/stalker.gif.
Toni said: “I was actually telling Terry last night that if we had not already gone during Halloween time the last 2 years, we would be going during Ip Dip just so we could meet you and Bill... I would LOVE to be able to meet you guys!!!“
Toni encouraged me to start a ptr of my own (every day http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm243/mrskenchanted/tons%20of%20smileys/rotfl2.gif). I did, some of you might have read it, we bounced around with the plans. A volunteer position came up for Bill with a disability organization, he is on the board of directors. The annual meeting was going to interfere with our May trip, money worries plagued me about October and December. I knew Bill really wanted December at Wilderness Lodge. My heart was pulled in two directions, October with Ip Dippers or December at Wilderness. I had to make a decision.
Poor Toni was there for me through the mess, listening, offering advice, and helping me though it. I am so grateful to have her in my life. She really did help me, so thank you very much Toni http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm243/mrskenchanted/tons%20of%20smileys/hug-2.gif. I can't express how much I adore this woman, she and I clicked and I admire her so much, she has a beautiful heart!!
We texted A LOT, so much so that I went from my plan of 250 texts a month to the 5000 plan http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm243/mrskenchanted/tons%20of%20smileys/4LOL.gif. She listened to me talk about how I felt I was letting the Ip Dippers down and how bad I felt. This is the second time I cancelled Ip Dip. Now last year the temperature was something like 111 degrees, so happy I didn’t go that year, I would have passed out http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm243/mrskenchanted/tons%20of%20smileys/1lg035faint.gif but I really missed the people. I have decided to not say anything about going to Ip Dip again and just pop down there and surprise them. That way I don’t feel like an idiot if something comes up.
Bill and I discussed it, decided to cancel October and moved the Disney trip up to Nov. 28th – December 7th. I have a subscription to Touring Plans, I know the crowd calendars will be updated a couple of times before our trip but it seems to be a great time to go after Thanksgiving. This would give us more time to spend with Josh and family when we got back before we needed to go to Indiana for Christmas too so that is a plus.
Toni and I started talking about each others plans or my lack of. I had focused solely on October, so really didn’t have much planned at all for December. Toni and I are a lot of like when it comes to Disney planning. We joke that we have to be related some how. Bill laughs at how much alike we are. We threw out many ideas. So what did we decide? Well for hers you will have to read her and Terry’s PTR, and for mine stay tuned for a future installment.

I have been to WDW 7 times with Bill since February 2006. On each of these trips Bill has taken his good old reliable wheelchair, the Quickie P222.
February 2006, at Rafiki’s Planet Watch with the “exotic” goat:
http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z67/mrsksomeday/0206Billgoat.jpg
The poor chair was frightened because we were told the goats liked to nibble on wheelchairs.
November 2006, the chair got to meet Susan Lucci with Bill:
http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z67/mrsksomeday/susanlucciandbf.jpg
November 2007, the chair got a thrill when Susan Lucci sat on it’s tray to be closer to Bill:
http://i233.photobucket.com/albums/ee224/sirkaiserwilliam/Pics%20for%20trip%20report/mgm%20day%202%202007/WDW2007Parkday6007BillandSusanLucci.jpg
That year the chair also got to meet one of the best families in the world, I am not talking Disney World, I am talking the ENTIRE world :goodvibes:
http://i233.photobucket.com/albums/ee224/sirkaiserwilliam/wdw%202nd%20thru%204th%20day/Picture109-1.jpg
And it got to see the first ever Castle lighting:
http://i233.photobucket.com/albums/ee224/sirkaiserwilliam/Pics%20for%20trip%20report/Last%20day%20MK%20and%20home%20pics/WDW2007Parkday9001castlelitup.jpg
June 2008, the chair met Chewbacca, Peter Mayhew:
http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm243/mrskenchanted/WDW%20June%202008/2nd%20day%20DHS%20SWW/5575bd65.jpg
October 2008, it met a bunch of Ip Dips:
http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm243/mrskenchanted/10-08%20WDW%20Trip/2nd%20Day/ipdipgroupshot2.jpg
November 2008, the chair got to see soap stars including our favorite, Kassie DePaiva:
http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm243/mrskenchanted/11-08%20wdw%20trip/5%20day%205/WDW11-08694.jpg
In August 2009, Bill got a new wheelchair, a fancier wheelchair, a wheelchair that did a lot more. The old chair was sad and Ace didn’t like the new chair. He barked at it because it did this:
http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm243/mrskenchanted/new%20wheelchair/billchair82109021.jpg
When we went in November 2009, we were worried that Southwest might damage the new chair, I had read horror stories. Bill was also worried that the bigger chair wouldn’t fit on the rides, the ME bus, etc. so the old chair got to go!!
November 2009, the chair was taken over by Hannah:
http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm243/mrskenchanted/WDW%20Nov%202009/5%20Disney%20Day%204%20MK/Tracysdisneypix1580.jpg
Such great memories, but life moves on. The old chair has old wheels and is not comfortable for Bill so much discussion has happened about bringing the Permobil C350 on the trip. We still have concerns about Southwest, the ME bus, and the rides but at some point we have to give the new chair a chance. He is shiny and seems eager to go.
Southwest always had me break Bill’s old chair down, take off the foot rests, take off the seat, they would take off the back, anything to make it more compact, they would also undo the power cord so there would be no power to it.
The new chair has a button where I can move the foot rests in and fold the plates up. The seat can come off like the old chair, but the back isn’t going anywhere. There is a handy switch to turn off the power.
On the last trip I had told the SW guy we brought the old chair because we were worried about the new one not being able to be taken apart. When I told him it reclined he said they preferred that kind because then they could make tilt it.
Well I will trust them after I take about a thousand pictures of the chair right before they take it and as they are loading it as I have done in the past:
http://i233.photobucket.com/albums/ee224/sirkaiserwilliam/Pics%20for%20trip%20report/WDW2007Day1003airlinewc3.jpg
That picture is still painful for me to look at. The guy in the back had to have pulled a groin muscle. I tried to tell them no less than 4 people should load the old chair - it weighed over 300 lbs and was back end heavy, silly men didn’t listen to me. Now they have a handy dandy lift they put the chair on.
The ME bus was a tight turn for the old chair, this one is even longer so I am sure the bus driver would have to move some seats out of the way so he can turn the chair easier. It would be an adventure to see how they handle this.
Buzz Lightyear was an issue even with the old chair. The old chair barely fit and the ramp is too steep. When Bill backed off you had to have someone right there because he would tip. It scared me every time. This chair has a longer wheelbase so we know he will not fit anymore. Bill says that is fine with him, Toy Story Mania is a lot more fun for him than Buzz ever was. I could never fight my laser light correctly, I must have always had faulty guns http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm243/mrskenchanted/tons%20of%20smileys/confused2.gif, so I would give up and spin the car around and around. This seemed to annoy and make Bill laugh at the same time, good times. The Great Movie Ride was a tight fit too, we will give it a go. You might be wondering “why not just transfer him to the regular seat?” That is a great question and I will tell you why:
- Cerebral Palsy makes him little, he can eat anything he wants and gain nothing http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm243/mrskenchanted/tons%20of%20smileys/Gaah.gif. Good for me when I have to lift him, bad for his him because his little bottom is not padded very well, it hurts him to sit on hard seats, and he is in enough pain without adding to it.
- He has bad balance so he would weeble wobble but he would FALL down in a regular seat without supporthttp://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm243/mrskenchanted/tons%20of%20smileys/sad20.gif, not a good idea if you want to have a fun trip.
- Some rides it wouldn’t be safe for me to try to do a transfer, The Jungle Cruise is an example. The big step down would not be safe for me or him to try to navigate. He is most comfortable in his chair.
This trip would be a great trial run to see how the C350 works at Disney. I never thought about any of this stuff until I met Bill, he has opened my world to a lot of things. He struggles so much to just not be in pain.
He ultimately decided he wanted to bring the old chair, he says Disney makes him feel normal and he knows the old chair can fit everywhere. The new chair might have him excluded and he doesn’t want that and neither do it. I am so grateful to have him in my life and respect any decision he makes.

Aww, Tracy, that's so sweet! Hopefully we will have many more meets in the future! ::yes::
Is Greased Lightning less comfortable because of the seat/padding, or because it absorbs shock less than Christine?
Oh, and BTW Mr. YodaK, you need to start popping in more often!
Having only 25 posts, total, is unacceptable around here!!
Kathy
I hope we have more meets too.
I told Bill he needed to come on here and explain the reasoning as to why one chair is less comfortable than the other. Hopefully he will listen to me.

Next installment…first day options[/QUOTE]
Wow that sentence just got to me. I know what you mean. Not about the chair and certainly not to the same degree but I feel the same way about having my eyes opened. Since my DH's accident several years ago I have been with him through manual wheelchairs, crutches, canes, now he'll be using a walker. When we had some problems with accessability on our cruise this November I told them that they coulden't understand how many things can be an obstacle unless they had had to look at things like that. I certainly diden't until I met John. Now I can look at a room and tell if it will work. He doesn't have as many issues with accesibility as many people but even when he's walking there are things that just don't work for him.
The new chair is certainly shiny with all the bells and whistles but I can see why Bill would rather use the old one at WDW if he knows he can do the things he want to in it. Having read your past reports I know how important WDW is to both of you it would be a shame for him to feel excluded from any part of it.
The trip sounds like so much fun. I'm sure AKL will be gorgeous at Christmastime. I can't wait to read all about your plans.

I do the same thing about looking at a room, venue, concert, etc to see if there will be any obstacles for Bill's chair, it comes natural to me now. You are so right about Bill not wanting to be excluded. Thank you so much for reading along.

Tracy, I wanted to pop in and tell you that I have begun reading your first report... Ace, Me, & the Guy with CP. I'm on the 11th installment and I have to tell you that I feel like I know you and Bill. I teared up when you wrote about your Mother being the preperation for falling for someone with a disability. I am so in awe at your abilities. You have such a large heart and I love you for that. I just found you on facebook and being the wonderful stalker that I am, I added you as a friend. I can't wait until November/December when I get to meet you and Bill! I'm going back to reading now!

Oh yeah, I also think its cute that you 2 are an internet romance that went well!
The first time I saw Eric we were at a mutual friends party. Everyone was drunk....I mean Super-Drunk. It was insane. I was 20 and a rebel so I was W.A.S.T.E.D! We were all hanging out in the kitchen and being 4 ft 11 I grew tired of looking up to people. In my drunked state I found a beer cooler and stood on it. Best decision of my life. I saw this guy walk in. He looked at me (drunk ginger midget on a cooler) and walked into the other room to see some friends. We never spoke. I got home that night and told my mom that I had seen the man I was going to marry. WebTV was big at that time and alot of localities had their own chat rooms. My friend told me to log on and told me what Erics screen name was. We started chatting online and after about 2 weeks we decided to meet up. He was already in the military at the time and I lived pretty close to the base so he asked if I wanted to meet at Burger King for a quick dinner. He only had a 30 minute dinner at the time. I agreed and after we ate I followed him to his work. WARNING: the most romantical night of my life...........
He works on jets loading missles onto them so We spent about 5 hours sitting right on the Flight Line watching the jets take off and land. it was amazing. I have grown up around these jets but for some reason it was different.
We have been married for almost 10 years now and have 2 little hobo's living with us. They claim to be our children but until Maury proves it they will remain hobo's!
I wish you and Bill the same joy and luck that I have been blessed with!

A lot of the midwest/south has been having storms this weekend including us. As some of you know Ace is terrified of storms. A big thunderclap literally scared the pee out of him today :sad2:. The storm passed and he wanted to look out the sliding doors, we had the curtains closed because if he sees lightning he freaks out so he will go behind the curtain. We saw this:
http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm243/mrskenchanted/001-5.jpg
His safe place now when he is scared is beside Bill's desk for some reason, he was worn out from being scared and went to lay down over there. He is like this as I type:
http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm243/mrskenchanted/002-3.jpg
This weather will be here for another month or so, I just wish he wasn't so scared, it is sad to see him like that. It is time to start giving him benedryl again to mellow him out like the vet said, I hate to do it but you should see how badly he shakes :sad1:.

I just read on BBC news about the storms. I guess that tornado was only like 20 minutes north of maroo, but it's sad to see people dying from them!! I guess even with a full day's warning it's hard to escape them. Be safe, my friends!
Does Ace like to be cuddled during the storms? Is that possible?

You just never know when a tornado will touch down, scary stuff.
As for Ace, "experts" tell you not to cuddle them when they are freaked out that it just reinforces the behavior, but it is our furbaby so I would try anything. Sometimes he will jump on the couch and get in my lap no matter what I am doing, if he does that I am not going to tell him no, but lately he seems to feel more safe right by Bill's desk and by Bill, he loves his daddy.

I wouldn't be so worried about it if she didn't have a habit of chasing the bees and trying to eat them!!!
The first time I totally freaked out... Called Terry's work and told them I thought his dog was dying!! He was home within 10 minutes... I called the vet and they had me start the benedryl and hold her lips up so she could breathe easier... It helped relieve the swelling pressure so she could get air...

Poor baby. That reminds me of our Chesapeake - one day he came in to the kitchen and he looked like a cartoon dog - HUGE snout! We are flip floppers, you know it and I know it that is just how we roll. We have a couple of ideas how our first day will play out. Let’s explore shall we?
We are flying out of St. Louis, staying the night at our favorite Marriott with the wheelchair accessible shuttle and those fantastic beds I am in love with, can’t wait to sleep there again http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm243/mrskenchanted/tons%20of%20smileys/Smiley_sleeping.gif.
We will eat at the hotel and try to go to bed early. Bill will become frustrated with my annual “I can’t sleep we are going to WDW tomorrow giggles http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm243/mrskenchanted/tons%20of%20smileys/4LOL.gif”. I will finally get to sleep http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm243/mrskenchanted/tons%20of%20smileys/Disneysleepanimation.gif, then the alarm will go off way too early. The first WDW day will look something like this:
- shuttle to airport
- fly to MCO
- ME to WL
- check in, if room ready, put carry on stuff in room and relax a bit. If room is not ready, boat to MK to turn my voucher into an Annual Pass and upgrade Bill’s ticket into AP.
- take a look at my castle to make sure it has been taken care of this year and go back to WL.
- check out the resort and impatiently http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm243/mrskenchanted/tons%20of%20smileys/remoteImage-88.gif wait to get to meet Terry http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm243/mrskenchanted/Enchanted%20Smileys/photo.gif and Toni http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm243/mrskenchanted/tons%20of%20smileys/devilshe.gif when they FINALLY SHOW UP at the resort.
- say hi to them etc and let them get settled into their room
- head off to dinner with them - Ohana and watching Wishes from teh Poly beach with some great drinks :thumbsup2.
Then Bill and I will go back to our room and pass out. This plan sounds pretty good to Bill and me. We are sleeping in the next day, no alarm at all http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm243/mrskenchanted/tons%20of%20smileys/thumbsup-1.gif. We are trying to take a more laid back approach this time, think we can do it?

As for sleeping in, it is a necessary evil. We need to make sure Bill is rested, that is a lot of traveling for him in a 36 hour period and I just want his muscles relaxed.

Congrats Tracy, you deserve a special birthday :cheer2:. I'm sure this will be the stuff that dreams are made of :yay:
But I'm sure that Pop will always have a special place....I still remember when we used to stay at CBR although now we're DVC members, it's hard to give up our stays at BWV or BCV.
Enjoy!

Wow "T", I am so happy for you! A bit jealous, but happy! You need to have Bill call my hubby....he could learn some stuff from Bill!
Thanks!! I keep telling Bill he needs to give seminars on "how to woo a woman after you already have her ":rotfl:.

Thanks Derek!! This is a huge leap for us and I have been researching the handicap accessible rooms at both resorts. I know we will like it, I think I will miss the comfort of knowing the resort etc, it will just take getting used to.
I worry that Bill won't want anywhere but deluxe from now on :rotfl2:.

I worry that Bill won't want anywhere but deluxe from now on :rotfl2:.Although we've never stayed at the Polynesian, we walked the grounds and dined at Kona Cafe regularly. I think KC is a great deal for TS and wished we ate there multiple times (instead of at the cafe at the Grand Floridian).
When we visited the Polynesian, we almost felt like we were in Hawaii. It definitely has a different vibe than other resorts and you're right, it might influence you to try Deluxe going forward, especially the larger rooms (I thought I heard that the rooms are 600 sq ft?).
Have fun!

We have done the luau twice and love 'Ohana too. Bill has been in love with the Poly for forever. We will definitely be trying Kona this time. According to the Passporter the garden view rooms at 409 sq ft, still bigger than Pop :rotfl:. I am just used to having one bed in a room with the wheelchair and these are supposed to have 2 queen beds so that will be different for us.

Thank you for all of the posts about being excited for us staying at the WL and Poly. I'm probably a little more excited than Tracy right now. I always wanted to stay at the WL and Poly especially at Christmas time. But, I'm sure Tracy will be excited when we get there.
I always wanted to do something special for Tracy’s birthday since it represents a sad time for her. Hopefully, the Disney atmosphere at the Poly will make Tracy happy and put a smile her face, so she can start celebrating her birthday and have wonderful memories.
I told Tracy I will take care of the cost of Poly as a birthday gift. I know it will be affordable in my monthly budget. But, I know she will still worry about the cost. I also would like to do something romantic since our anniversary will be coming up in December.

Tracy is so lucky to have you!

Bill is the one who brought the world of Disney into my life. I used to watch the TV show (like many of you) with my family, but I never thought I would make it to WDW, it just wasn’t something I thought would ever happen to me, then Bill came along. He told me about is love for WDW, how “normal” he felt there and how he wanted to show it to me. It took a while to convince me to go.
I had many reservations as to how I would help him in the parks, what we would do for personal care, and what he could do there. I thought we might just be walking around all day. Boy was I WRONG! WDW is so wheelchair friendly. Bill was so happy to share his “happy place” with me. I feel so comfortable going there with him now, we don’t have to worry about the room not being accessible, how we could get to the parks, we use the first aid locations for personal care, I don’t have to worry about anything. I thought I would share some pictures and video (just click on those and they will open in a new window) of the accessibility factor when it comes to doing Disney in a wheelchair, I hope you don’t mind.
Getting there and Transportation:
We use Disney’s Magical Express. I love the idea of dropping off the luggage at our originating airport and not seeing it until it arrives in the room. Most people can just get in the line for their resort. This isn’t the case for us. We go up to the counter I inform them of the wheelchair and tell them we need an accessible bus. They already have this noted in the computer I just like to confirm. We are then taken by a CM to the benches by the windows while that CM talks to another CM and a bus is called. When it comes we are escorted outside to put the wheelchair on first. It always freaks me out how high Bill is on these busses:
http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm243/mrskenchanted/WDW%20transportation%20accessibility/melift.jpg
After we get to our resort it is Disney transportation for us all the way. We take the busses, there are a couple of different systems for wheelchairs/ecv’s:
http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm243/mrskenchanted/WDW%20transportation%20accessibility/buswithlift.jpg
http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm243/mrskenchanted/WDW%20transportation%20accessibility/fliprampextended.jpg
They use tie downs to keep Bill’s wheelchair in place:
The back:

The front:
http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm243/mrskenchanted/WDW%20transportation%20accessibility/tiedown2.jpg
We make use of the monorails as well. They have to get the ramp out and place it for Bill to use:
http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm243/mrskenchanted/WDW%20transportation%20accessibility/monorailramp1.jpg
http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm243/mrskenchanted/WDW%20transportation%20accessibility/monorailramp2.jpg
The parks have a variety of ways to get Bill and others on the rides:
At Animal Kingdom, here is the way he got into the Kilimanjaro Safari truck, he had to back on:

At Epcot, there are a couple rides he can do in his chair:

The boat at the Gran Fiesta Tour is essentially the same as It’s a Small World at MK.
He has to be transferred into Soarin'. It is very easy, he drives his chair right up to the seats, I transfer him and the CM moves the wheelchair out of the way.
He can to Test Track if I have others with us since I can't be holding him and stepping into the vehicle.
The same for Spaceship Earth, since he needs his seat cushion I would need another person with us to help with that transfer but it is pretty tight for his legs since they don't bend well.
At Hollywood Studios, he can do these:
Backlot Tour:
http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm243/mrskenchanted/WDW%20transportation%20accessibility/backlottour.jpg
Toy Story Mania:
http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm243/mrskenchanted/WDW%20transportation%20accessibility/tsm1.jpg
http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm243/mrskenchanted/WDW%20transportation%20accessibility/tsm2.jpg
He can also do The Great Movie Ride but for some reason I don’t have pictures of that.
I can transfer him into the Star Tours seat, they have us walk all the way around to have his chair at the exit and I carry him through the exit doors.
At Magic Kingdom, he can do:
Buzz Lightyear:
http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm243/mrskenchanted/WDW%20transportation%20accessibility/buzz.jpg
It’s a Small World:
http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm243/mrskenchanted/WDW%20transportation%20accessibility/smallworld.jpg
The Jungle Cruise ( I like this one he goes on driving forward and they turn it around so he drives off going forward too):
http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm243/mrskenchanted/WDW%20transportation%20accessibility/Junglecruise2.jpg
http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm243/mrskenchanted/WDW%20transportation%20accessibility/Junglecruise3.jpg
http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm243/mrskenchanted/WDW%20transportation%20accessibility/Junglecruise1.jpg
http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm243/mrskenchanted/10-08%20WDW%20Trip/th_WDW10-08065.jpg (http://s298.photobucket.com/albums/mm243/mrskenchanted/10-08%20WDW%20Trip/?action=view¤t=WDW10-08065.flv)
He has done the Winnie the Pooh ride but it was tight getting his chair in there and he has no desire to do it again.
At the Haunted Mansion they have us enter through the exit and stop the moving walkway for me to load and unload him.
If we do Pirates of the Caribbean we need to have others with us too, there is no way I would try to carry him and step in or out of the boat.
So there you have it, he feels “free and normal” there and any place that can do that will have our money for a long time.
Next installment… possible adrs??

Tracy, it's really facinating to see how all the different ride vehicles are adapted for guests who use wheelchairs. To think that most public buildings didn't even have ramp access or accessible bathrooms a mere thirty years ago... :sad2:
I love your new ticker/thingy!!!

Tracey-I love your information on accessibility at WDW. (I may be wording this wrong, I do not mean to offend) Is it possible for you guys to get an aide for Bill so that he can do more rides (I think Amy was supposedly going to help with that )

Tracy, it's really facinating to see how all the different ride vehicles are adapted for guests who use wheelchairs. To think that most public buildings didn't even have ramp access or accessible bathrooms a mere thirty years ago... :sad2:
I love your new ticker/thingy!!!
Kathy
Hi Kathy, it fascinates me too. I am so happy they have adapted things so more people are able to enjoy the rides.
Thanks about the picture in the siggy line, its clickable and leads right here to the report :thumbsup2.

Thanks! :rotfl:yeah Amy was supposed to help, didn't happen very much did it . Sometimes we just like to go to WDW by ourselves. I think the next trip, next June hopefully, we might bring someone with us. We will see.

Wow Tracy! What fabulous information you have given everyone! So helpful! Another reason we love Disney - they think of most everything!
(Though....When I saw your Figment picture, I remembered....:rotfl: What a long ordeal that was!)
Bill's smile is fabulous! It's contagious, too! As I'm reading your reports, I can't help but smile!! I can imagine in person it is even more so! :goodvibes

Thanks! Disney really does make things easy for us, thank goodness.
The Figment picture brought back the same memories for me, I was laughing.

Hey Tracy!!! Disney really just is the BEST!!! Think about it... Where else on earth can you go that is an accommodating??? I have a shell fish allergy and lately it is super bad, to the point where I can't even be within breathing distant of it! All I do is call Disney's Dietary and Allergy line before I go and all the chefs call me before I arrive and meet me when I get there to discuss my allergy! I'm sure Bill appreciates Disney's Friendliness! :goodvibes

Hi Tracy and Bill- just joining in! wonderful PTR! I of course found you on the DEC trippers thread. We'll be there at the same time too- maybe we can all meet up!
you guys are just the cutest couple ever. I love it when two people really share the passion for Disney. My DH is just now really starting to understand it and really only because he has now seen it through our little boy's eyes! I'll take what I can get! lol
You guys are going to love the WL- we stayed for 10 nights in early December last year. It was gorgeous!!! We loved just hanging out in the lobby and the boat to the MK was great.
Thank you also for all the enlightening information about the accessibility at WDW. Most people don't take two seconds to think about what all is involved or how difficult it can be.
Can't wait to see what this adventure holds for you two!!! consider me subscribed!!! ;):wizard::santa:

According to my mad Disney Fuzzy Math skillz http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm243/mrskenchanted/tons%20of%20smileys/1sm390teach.gif, I have 24 days until ADR day!! (I don’t’ count today or the day I make them).
Oh the ADR rush, I get a high off of it http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm243/mrskenchanted/tons%20of%20smileys/1e76d761.gif, waking up early with my list ready http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm243/mrskenchanted/tons%20of%20smileys/letter.gif.
I don’t have it in date order, I have it in “importance” order. I put the ones I absolutely want to make sure we get first and then go from there. It is more complicated this year with the split stay, us staying more than 10 nights, and having the deluxe dining plan the last 3 nights. Why do I do this to myself?? Oh the @#$* BLUE eyes that’s why http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm243/mrskenchanted/tons%20of%20smileys/help.gif. I thought I would share the list with you.
I will be doing a mixture of online and calling in:
Lecellier – Bill loves the place
‘Ohana (TnT*)
Whispering Canyon Dinner (TnT*)
Whispering Canyon Breakfast(TnT*)
TnT* = Toni and Terry because they are dynamite people (I know boo hiss bad pun ). It is easier for me to explain the wheelchair situation.
Tusker House Breakfast
50’s Prime Time Café
T-Rex
ESPN Club – Bill wants this, I am pretty sure it is a walk up, I will let you know how that goes after we get back.
Hoop Dee Doo - I will call at 6am sharp our time for this one.
Now with the 180 + 10 rule, I am hoping I will be able to do the Hoop Dee Doo reservation on my first ADR day even though we are doing it on the first night of the Poly stay http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm243/mrskenchanted/tons%20of%20smileys/others-279.gif (I will see if I can, I will be calling about this one because of the wheelchair, the category situation, and the fact we are using the dining plan). I will have 3 more days of reservations I probably will not be able to book that day :sad1:. That aggravates me. Those reservations include:
Chef Mickey’s Breakfast
Cinderella’s Royal Table Dinner
Kona Breakfast
Narcoossee’s Dinner
‘Ohana Breakfast
We figured we would take advantage of our location, the Poly (I just like typing it) for these reservations. We have so many breakfasts this time, Mrs. Toni is to blame for that, I told Bill all the breakfasts they were doing and he wanted to do them too. We have all been talking on yahoo and I think he loves TnT already (I know I do). They are fantastic people. I think he would follow them around all vacation if I would let him. I had to inform him that they aren’t going to WDW to be with us, they are going for her birthday http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm243/mrskenchanted/tons%20of%20smileys/happy-birthday-054.gif and their anniversary http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm243/mrskenchanted/tons%20of%20smileys/love-132.gif and to leave them alone, although Toni and I text if we aren’t yahooing so I am sure we will probably text some while in WDW. If not I will be in Toni withdrawals and will have to drink huge amounts of WDW alcohol to get through it http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm243/mrskenchanted/tons%20of%20smileys/drinks_wine.gif.
I need some HELP!! We have never been there during the Candlelight Processional. We want to make sure to do the “package” so we get a seat. We decided to go with the Tutto Italia lunch for this. My problem is Disney trains us that we NEED to make the ADR’s at 180 days out, but they don’t give us the tools i.e. = the Narrators list to make an informed decision, on top of that they don’t start offer the “packages” until after our ADR window has been open for a while. This causes me frustration and stress http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm243/mrskenchanted/tons%20of%20smileys/atwitsend.gif and I don’t like it. You would think they would have to book the speakers way in advance so why not give up the list to us?
I have 24 days to tweak, mull over, and possibly change our picks, do you think I will keep with this set of ADR’s or change it around? This many breakfasts seem odd to me, but we will see.
Next installment… you know how Bill handles the parks but what about ME!!!

ruh-ro...oh no, Tracy say this is not so.
The CLP dinner packages are not available to book till after your ADR window in over 20 days....
I make my ADR's in just about 2 weeks...and that is on my list. I noticed you can not book the package online but I figured this must be one of those you have to call on...
We have only one night to see the CLP our last night in Disney 11-27 I believe it's either the first or 2nd night of the CLP starting. So the speaker is irrevelent to us, but we want the package so we can have that preferred seating area and less of a wait (per Nathan if you recall his autism makes the lines very difficult)...
this is a big pile of XXX if this doesn't work. :headache:

You can't drop a bombshell like that and not explain, what is going on?
Well, things in life have just gone downhill fast. We have of course been working on the financial end of the trip. No matter what discounts we get it's still a ton of money for most people. We have been working it out though. Skrimping and saving where we can and making cut backs. No big deal. We can live without things!
We found out last week that my mom went to the hospital. She didn't tell anyone and still hasn't. She is keeping secrets from her children and everything that we now know, we have overheard and read her mail to find out.
She had her urine tested and the found "m" protein. This is commonly attributed to Multiple Myeloma. Basically it is cancer of the cells inside of the bone marrow. She is seeing an Oncologist on Wednesday. They have "rushed" her out of our military network and sent her to an "outside" doctor.
She has been acting weird around us. When asked about disney she said that she isnt sure if she even wants to go. She has no idea that we know anything. With all of this, we decided that until we find out whats going on we are not proceeding with the planning. This was supposed to be a "family" trip and we don't want to go without her.
I am sure that she will tell us what is going on when she officially knows. At that point I think we can bring back up the possibility of everything. It's been rough to say the least. I'm not sure how long it takes an Oncoligist to do their jobs and figure out whats going on so I have no idea when we will know. I have no idea if we would even be able to make either of the dates we were looking at.
We haven't canceled yet. We also haven't made this paydays payment though either. Its just a tough situation to be in. I wish we could talk to her about all of this but she doesn't want us to know!

 Rebecca, I am so sorry about this. I know she hasn't told you guys yet, I assume she doesn't want you to worry. I know it is your Mom and you know her and I don't, but if I was you I would tell her I knew. It has to be horrible and scary to be keeping that locked up inside and not talk about it. I would ask her if she wants company for the appointment on Wednesday. She needs all the support she can get even if she thinks she doesn't.
The trip isn't important at all compared to this. Disney will always be there, I will be praying for your Mom, you, and your family.

I will call later in week and find out what they say. We'd prefer the 5 pm time and a lunch...but 1:45-2:45 seems to be a samll window and not to mention isn't this prime lunch time?
I may just book 2 extra TS ADR's on the 24th and thne if the CLP thing doen't work I have them and if it does I can cancel. 90 days before is end of Aug...that's seems like a long time to wait to book something during Thanksgiving weekend w/out a back-up plan.
I will call and let you know if or what I can find out.

I may just book 2 extra TS ADR's on the 24th and thne if the CLP thing doen't work I have them and if it does I can cancel. 90 days before is end of Aug...that's seems like a long time to wait to book something during Thanksgiving weekend w/out a back-up plan.
I will call and let you know if or what I can find out.
thanks for your help.
thank goodness for these boards
I might call this week too, it seems no one gets the same answer from two CMs :rotfl:.

Rebecca- i am so sorry to hear about your mom and the trip. I'll hope and pray things turn around and you guys can still go.
i am also frustrated with the CLP. We want to do it this year too. I know my MIL would really love it. I might just have to consider getting a sitter for that night though- not sure my son will sit through it all, and if he acts up, i won't get to enjoy it. I've had to walk out of hall of presidents and other things, i don't want to miss this. So might be a sitter night!
So what show is better to do - the early? I wonder which one is less crowded? We will be scheduling at least 3 sit down meals at Epcot, so we can definitely do the package. I just need to figure out which 3. lol
LOVE all your ADR choices so far!! Looks to be some fabulous eating and a lot of our favorites in there too. Plus, the company (TnT) sounds like they can't be beat! ;)

I have been thinking about Rebecca and family .
It might be a good idea for the sitter, then you can just sit and relax. I have no idea which show is better or less crowded, I feel like I am going into this blind and I do NOT like it http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm243/mrskenchanted/tons%20of%20smileys/eyetwitch.gif.
Bill loves picking out where to eat in Disney. The company is a great added bonus, I hope they don't get sick of us .

I recently received a PM asking questions about doing Disney overweight. I was not offended at all. In fact, I thought http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm243/mrskenchanted/tons%20of%20smileys/smiley-girl-thinking.gif “if this person is worried about fitting in the rides, the walking, or anything else like that maybe others are too?” I was that way before I went and every time I thought about getting on a ride I had never been on. It made me a nervous wreck. Thoughts like this played out in my head:
Would I fit? If not, I was not only embarrassing myself but Bill wouldn’t be able to ride.
Would I make a fool out of myself getting in and out of the ride vehicle?
What if I wasn’t able to ride anything? It would ruin the trip for Bill.
This is hard for me to talk about actually http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm243/mrskenchanted/tons%20of%20smileys/nailbiting.gif and I would appreciate no flames for putting myself into this situation I fully acknowledge I got myself into the overweight mess I am in now. I am a work in progress, it took a long time to get this way and it will take a long time to get out of it. I know there are many overweight people that go to Disney so I figured why not share my experiences on the issue? So here it goes:
At the turnstiles, I have read if you turn sideways it might help, my advice if you think you won’t fit or if they make you uncomfortable politely tell the CM that you would like to enter they use for strollers/wheelchairs gate.
The theater seats in the 3D movies, shows, Voyage of the Little Mermaid etc can be tight, especially Carousel of Progress. It is best to sit at the edge of the seat then scoot yourself back.
Anything with a seat belt like Star Tours, Test Track, and Soarin', before you sit down pull the seat belt all the way out. You might have a hard time finding the other end, get a friend/family member help you to get it connected. Their seat belts are really long though, I had a ton left over but felt good to have that wiggle room as I was snapping it in. I just had trouble when I thought I was taking too much time and tried to hurry then it made me flustered.
On some rides it might be best to have your own seat, such as Big Thunder Mountain, anything with a bench seat where one bar is used for two people. This way you are not squished in against someone and they feel safer because the safety bar is accommodating you not them. I have read that Kali River Rapids might be an issue because the seat belt is supposed to go across two people. Just let the CM know you wanted to be seated alone, they understand. I haven't ridden it but have read you can be a lot more comfortable on Splash Mountain in your own seat as well.
Some rides do have test seats, Test Track and Epedition Everest come to mind. Ask the CM if one is available if you are worried about fitting. A lot of the times they might even be able to tell you if they think it is a no go. Also ask to be placed with more leg room, at Test Track that is in the front I think it is the same for RnRC, just ask remember you won’t see these CM’s again and they are there to help the guests have a magical visit.
At some table service restaurants they might have chairs with arms, Ohana comes to mind, my fat hips have issues with those sometimes so I ask for a chair without arms. Either ask when you are checking in or ask the person that seats you, they will gladly help.
I am wide in the hips and have a huge belly, I take up more than one seat on the bus. So have family sit by you if at all possible. I usually sit in front of Bill’s wheelchair spot, I scoot towards him so that the seat next to me is not encroached on.
As for walking there is a ton of it. On a 10 day trip I had my pedometer with me, I logged over 48 miles. Make sure you wear very comfortable shoes. New Balance walking shoes are great for me. Take more than one pair and trade off if your feet are bothering you. I suggest getting out and walking every day before your trip, it really does help with your stamina.
Things to help keep my feet in good shape are bodyglide. I buy it specifically for my feet and apply it before I put my socks and shoes on. It stops the friction and the sweating so that helps out with blisters. It was a godsend to me. Also good are moisture wicking socks. I faithfully use Monistat chafing crème in areas I know are going to rub, there is nothing worse than feeling like your skin is on fire because you are chafed, some people use the bodyglide for that. I also brought Burt's Bees Peppermint foot cream this last trip. I used it after long days in the parks and it did help me.
Make sure to take pain medication with you. There is nothing worse than a headache, backache, etc when all you want to do is keep up with your family and have a good time. It makes you feel guilty, or it least it did me. Extra strength Tylenol was my friend.
You don't have to be an OCD planner like me, but do make some type of plans before you go. For example, at Magic Kingdom, pick a "land" and do things there don't do one thing then walk to the other side of the park and do another. If you have many people in your party, designate one a fast pass runner, take advantage of that system. There are "touring plans" out there to help with the waiting times as well, we have never used one so I can't vouch for them. I can walk all day without issues, it is the standing still in lines that tends to kill my feet. Crisscrossing all day not only wastes time it can wear you out. Do some rides, then do some sit down shows to rejuvenate yourself.
The most important thing I have found, stay hydrated, please. If you aren't you can pass out, you can get a horrible stress headache, you can get muscle cramping etc. If something happens and you get too hot and have to lie down use the first aid facilities. We use them for Bill's personal care but there are many places to rest at those locations.
We use the dining plan, when we do a counter service meal I usually get water as my drink and get another water as my dessert. I take the extra one with me so when I need it I have it. I have read that you can get free water at the counter service restaurants but I have never tried it.
Those are the things off the top of my head, if I come up with more I will post it. I think having Bill to focus on calms my fears of people judging me, although I can say I have never felt judged at WDW. I know Disney can be a scary place if you are worrying about how things will work, if you will fit, if the walking will be too much etc. I hope this helped someone.
Next installment… possible must do’s!

Hey guys, I am still here. I am in lurk mode for now though. My mom finally "filled" us in about some of the results. She didn't go into detail though. We all told her that we will be right here with her through everything. She doesn't want to hear us right now though. I understand that. She told me this morning that she is worried and that she wants space from us all until she has answers. I told her that we will do anything she wants but to remember that we are here for her.
I am keeping up with everyones reports but, Im laying low right now. You guys can't get rid of me that easily! Love ya!!!!!!!!

Tracy, I'm cerainly not one of those "skinny Minnies" who never has to worry about whether things will fit. I use the same technique of pulling the seat belt all the way out and always use the anti-chafe cream, not just at WDW, but whenever I go for a long walk... it's great!
Thanks for being so brave and sharing such personal information with other DISers... you are sweet as always to think of others the way you do! I'm sure your knowledge, experience, and advice is going to help a lot of people. :grouphug:

Tracy, I have to tell you something. I am your friend on FB and I have seen many pics of you.....YOU LOOK GREAT TO ME!
I am by no means a small person on the outside......I am on the inside though!:lmao: I am sure that it was a little tough to post that but I bet there are tons of people who appreciate it! You are a tough broad.......48 miles, holy crap! That makes me tired just reading it! I am glad that Disney is so accomodating (sp?). I too firmly believe in pills! When I travel I take a pharmacy with me. Just in case! If I am going somewhere my goal is at least 2 Epi-Pens per day....I am allergic to everything and get new allergies day by day! The last thing anyone wants to do is be in pain on a vacation! What I will say about the sore piggies (feet) is that its one of those "hurts so good" things for me. Hurts like a mo-frackie but the reasoning behind the pain is good!
We all have a few pounds to lose....we all know that. I believe that self-image is what matters....well, health too. If you feel good then you look good to me!
Thank you for your post.

Tracy,
Thank you for posting that. On my family trip in 2006 I told my family I "didn't feel like riding RnRC" but it really was b/c I was afraid I wasn't going to fit. We avoided it on our Disneymoon b/c I was afraid we weren't going to fit. I researched a bit (Actually, I googled...) and decided I was going to try RnRC this past trip (Dec. 09) and WE FIT. I felt so great about myself and a little frustrated at the same time b/c I held myself back from enjoying it.
You sound like such a wonderful person. Again, Thank You. :)

Tracy I too think it's wonderful that you posted all of that helpful information. You've read my report so you know that our last trip was John's idea and he was very excited about it. About 1 month or so before we were to leave he started acting funny whenever I mentioned it. Finally he admitted how worried he was about fitting into places and on rides. We had gone to a local amusement park over the summer as a trial with the kids and he had trouble fitting on one of the rides. The kid working there wasen't too understanding and he was very embarrassed. He had secretly determined to lose weight before WDW when he haden't manged to lose more than a few pounds he had started rethinking the whole plan, wondering how he could share in a magical trip with his kids if he coulden't fit on the rides. I did some research and found many of the tips you just shared (not all though, I would have loved to have found a complete post like yours.) Every story you share about accessability eigther for you or Bill can be of help to someone out there and I really admire you for posting about your experiences to help others.
