Holiday here today - Patriot's Day/Marathon Monday and the kids are off from school all week. But, gotta go into the census office for a bit this a.m. - no holiday there!
No big plans for the day - putter around the house later, walk the dog, and have fun with the kids. Steak tips for dinner - off the BBQ, if the weather finally permits!

It's Patriots Day! I have to work...Well, I don't *have* to work, but if I don't, I won't get paid, so I will work.
The marathon comes right down my street, so I will be able to watch from the safety of my office, get some work done, and go down and have a hot dog from the grill (the landlord has a cookout every Patriots Day).
I have weigh-in tonight. Think thin!
Have a good day all!

First thing to do.. call repair man... washer started screeching at us in the spin cycle.. Seriously, seriously.. I don't have time for this.. Too many, Uh, I think maybe we can fix it... uh,... okay nevermind, I'll buy a new one!!! Less worry it'll break tomorrow!
Second, have DH email w/ ex and explain college admission and that the school DsS has chosen has a tuition deposit and a housing deposit... we will take the larger $350.00 and stop whining that you have to pay $100.00.. My gosh! Some days, I wish I would have had a crystal ball...
now for the regular list:
await repair man need to go shopping!
await txt from DD about position she won!!
talk to dh about ordering DD flowers for prom if she gets above position
get supplies ready for DS13 to work on egg drop re-model (last one worked but he didn't like it as well.. but it worked son, it worked...but we will adjust, it's your project)
finish laundry if repair man shows
get meds in DS13, allergies are awful..they say IN is way above the norm...at an 11 -12 pollen rate...
that's it for now..can't think straight..as I said.. priority 1 is getting washer fixed...
So much for sleeping in - DN's cell phone alarm went off at 5:45 am :headache: Of course it was downstairs where I could hear it and she couldn't. ugh. I think she owes me another meal preparation. :rotfl2:
I have popovers in the oven. Yum. The sun is shining, looks to be a gorgeous day. MIght make paella for dinner.

Now, I need to figure out flowers...

The white daisies with the yellow centers will look nice against the blue back drop of her dress. CONGRATS PJ!!! :cheer2:
Change of plans here. Going to meet DH at Sam's to do the major grocery shopping instead.
Did post office run and exercised and showered this morning.
Once I get off the DIS, I plan on cranking out some swap stuff.
Holly, hope you feel like yourself soon.

Ah, not a lavender dress. Yes, I can see why she wouldn't get lavender flowers. The white and yellow will be lovely with the blue!

Congrats to PJ on the new position!! I guess I missed the dress pics but I trust all of the DISaunties to make the most gorgeous choice!!:thumbsup2
Weekend was busy but good.

Nan I know you didn't want to have to buy one right now but look at it this way the new ones clean SOOOO much better. ours is 15 yrs old (all the appliances are) and I'm thinking one of these days 1 of them is going to die!!! Hopefully it's the fridge I'm so sick of the side by side. not quite yet though need the tax refund in the bank first.

Got the pictures. Wow - she looks great! You must be so proud. Both dresses are beautiful - I can see where it would be hard to choose...

Sorry about the washer Nan. If it was a drier, I could help. Have perfectly good one sitting in the barn. DH picked up a new one that matched the front loading washer for a steal a while back.

Thanks all!!!

I did see that, but thanks so much for thinking of me! Ugh, they want over $1000 to get the 3 of us to and from Orlando! What to do, what to do?

I know, it was insane. I just booked Lou a flight in November for 300$ - if Delta wasn't 370$ (before bags, no less), I wouldn't have done it.

I really like JetBlue and don't want to take a chance that the prices will go up and/or will sell out! I'll probably book it tomorrow...
