Our background: We have been going to Disney Since I was two years old. This will be our 16th trip to Disney World.

* 195 total days on vacation

Our Tradition:
Every year we visit the world, we decorate our car with window paints, and put "Honk if you're going to Disney World!" on the back. It's so awesome going through Georgia and the first stretch of Florida because everyone starts honking! :cutie: This is one of our designs from several of our trips!

I wanted to share a little bit about myself, and about what made me fall in love with Disney World.

Where I'm From:
I was born in Edina, Minnesota, but moved to Colorado a few month after my birth. Colorado has been my home for 16 years, (a quick trip to Washington for a few months added to make my out-of-state living a little under a year.) We've just recently started skiing and tubing, but I love it! It's such a rush, and it's a lot of hard work, but you feel really accomplished once you get done with a run!

What My Plans For The Future Are:
I plan on going to a community college for a couple of years, and then move out of state. While I love Colorado, it gets redundant and I feel like I need a change. I want to move to Florida and hopefully get a job at Disney World, to help pay for college. I want to major in Education and minor in Business. My dream job would be a wedding planner, and work with the Disney Weddings department. I'll be working at my mom's answering service until I am through college, and get another job, and I start this summer!

Things I love:
Obviously, as you can see from my Senior Picture, I am a huge Michael Jackson fan. I really love music in general, but he is by far the best artist I have ever heard, and I was very sad when he passed. (That's probably an understatement.) :rolleyes1
I also love the Twilight Series. I am not the person who reads it with a fine-toothed comb, I enjoy it at face value. I really love the movies, and the actors that play them. (I'm Team Edward ;) )
I have been a Harry Potter fan since I was 8 years old. I have grown up with the series and the movies, and I really love reading them.
I also love to sing. I have been in choir all of my life, and I've had solos, and awards for being in honor choir and women's select in high school. :cloud9:

Why I love Disney World!
Every trip to Disney I have looked forward to since I was very young. I love the feeling it gives you walking down Main Street, and you see Cinderella's Castle. It's just like magic. No matter what is happening in my life, whenever I go to Disney World all of my troubles disappear. So when I had the choice to go on vacation for my birthday/graduation present, their was no choice. Disney World hands down! :)

Our official trip begins June 3rd, and we are visiting WWoHP through the 4th! It isn't supposed to be open when we go, but we booked our reservation February, and my dad thinks that maybe if they let the people in with the HP packages, they will let those who reserved in advance in as well. It's up in the air so far, we are waiting to hear more to see if we are going to cancel that portion of the trip. :scared:

It's a nice little show that will get you out of the heat, or just give you a break. I'm not a huge muppets fan either, but it's a well done show.
It's about Beaker and Dr. Honeydew who make a new creature that causes trouble throughout the show.
I would say it's not on the same level as Philarmagic, but fairly close. :)

Originally we were going to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter from June 3rd-June4th, and checking into the Port Orleans Riverside on the 4th as well. It ended up being extremely expensive to go to both. :scared1:

I had the choice of shortening Disney to 7 days, and going to Universal, or going to Disney for 9 days. :confused3

I figured that getting a soft opening for WWoHP is a fifty-fifty chance, and it wasn't worth the money if we couldn't get on. Also, the rides apparently don't accommodate 'pooh sized' people, so a couple of my family members couldn't ride, so what fun is that going on it with just half the family? :confused3

So we extended the trip for Disney, and on the day we arrive we are going to MGM at night, the first time we have ever done a park on arrival day (I am super excited!). :woohoo:

We are also changing to the Dining Plan, because it seems like it would be really nice to pay a grand total, and not have to worry about the prices for dinner. :wizard:

We changed a couple of our ADRs and we are trying the Yak and Yeti for the first time, and we have been trying for Ohana's but that week is completely booked! :headache:

So things change, but I think it will be fantastic no matter what happens. I am just lucky to be going :)

ya.....since they upped the ticket prices for Universal, it's not longer a good idea to go just for a day or two. especially if there's no HP

and the ddp sounds good. don't have to worry about carrying cash or checking out. you can have everything paid for before you leave

Our thoughts exactly. It made more economic sense to do Disney for longer, than spend money on hopes and wishful thinking. Plus, I do love Disney World much more than a day at Universal! (But that's just me:) )

There are places you can create your own DS skins. You just need to print it out on sticker paper. Pretty cool

Yes, it IS cheaper. But the hard cases are a lot more protective, so I would stick with that.

Yeah, it was the honors convocation for high achieving seniors, we received our cords and I ended up getting high honors. Graduation was the next night. :cool1:

Yesterday we went to Wal-Mart to get our last minute items, and now the only things we have left on the list are the rent-a-car and the car top carrier!

Tuesday is going to be here before I know it!

The plans:

Sunday (Today): Get the shot records from the vet, go to the bank, and go to Ace. Then in the afternoon we are..... PACKING! We bought the space bags and tried them out yesterday, and they seem to work pretty well. :woohoo: So the day is finally here to pack :dance3: I can't believe it.

Monday: Get the rent-a-car & the car top carrier. Then we are going to pack the car and paint it :yay:

Tuesday: We are leaving at 7:30am :banana: and dropping off the pets at the boarding place and then we hit the road for the happiest place on Earth :wizard:

I am so ready to be back at my home. I think I am more emotional this time because it's the last real family trip without me having to pay my way, and I'll be turning 18 in my favorite place on Earth. :cloud9:
It's bittersweet at how fast time flies. :sad1: But it is hopefully going to be an amazing trips with very few speed bumps in the way. :banana:
