Don't you love when people assume you don't like some type of music??

Just a few days ago I was watching VH1 and the Deaf Leppard Biography, dh comes out of the room and says, why didn't you tell me they were on?? I never knew you like them. Then just this morning I'm driving in my car with my friend listening to Supertramp and she says " I would have never imagined you liked this kind of music" why ??? Because I also like disco music ?? Because my favourite are the Bee Gees??? geez, only if they knew I like opera too!!

In a nutshell, the problem is "Labelling." It makes life easier for us to have people in convenient categories. I even label people myself, though I know better. On the other hand, I, too, hate being LABELLED>:rolleyes:

LOL Kanga. My kids were always coming home talking about how the other kids thought all we listened to at home was Classical Music because DH is a Music teacher. Well...Classical is nice, and once in a while we listen to it, but you are more likely to find us listening to the oldies or jazz.
