I have a Nikon D40 and have been thinking off getting a prime lens. I am looking at the Nikon 35 mm/F1.8 lens mostly for pictures of the kids, everyday shots, indoor stuff, etc. Already have the 18-55 kit lens and 55-200 mm zoom lens.

I saw the 35mm available online from Crutchfield.com and Adorama.com for $199 total, which seems to be a good deal. Does anyone have any experience purchasing a lens or camera from these sites? Any problems with customer support? I shop online occasionally so don't have a problem with that, but just wonder about those sites in particular.

Thanks!

I purchased my 35mm 1.8 from B&H and I use it with both my D40 and D300. Its a great lens and loads of fun on the D40. I have no doubts you are going to love it. I also have used amazon and Adorama with no complaints on any of those sites.

Something else I watch for (when prices are equal) is what different sites offer through Bing Cashback. I recently signed up and have been happy with what the offer and how easy it is to use.

Currently on ebay you can get 8% back.
