While I love my kids and mom, I am thinking of doing a solo trip to WDW around December. I just stayed in POFQ, and loved it, but honestly wasn't in the room much. Anyone have a good idea where to stay, what to do? I plan on going probably the 6-10, and plan on flying in. Ideas? Where to dine solo? NEVER done a solo trip, but could use some pointers!!

:thumbsup2I was solo for the first half of a trip last year at WDW. It was a little weird at first, but I very quickly realized I could do ANYTHING I wanted without answering to a blessed soul :rolleyes1, and I could eat when I wanted, and there was no worrying whether someone else was having a good time. :yay:

One thing I did on my own that I loved was to take my time exploring the Boardwalk and Downtown Disney!

I really like CBR and AK--have never stayed at WL, but that's coming soon.

The only real planning I recommend is ADRs, so it's a good idea to have a general idea of where you want to be, and when. The rest you can play by ear--that was the most fun for me, as I am usually a hard core planner!

If you're wanting a dinner where you can really soak in some really wonderful atmosphere, try Jiko. I had a wonderful dinner there, and tried a really nice wine. It's a beautiful restaurant. I also rec. Artist Point also for the atmosphere (wonderful cedar plank salmon) and Narcoosee's (for the fireworks!)

:idea:If you want fun and interaction, try 50's Prime Time Cafe. The food is down home, and the interaction is hilarious--being solo, you will most likely need to let them know ahead of time that you want the interaction, so be SURE to ask for a server who is in character, and let them know you're there for the fun.

Finally, I also rec. letting the CM making your ADR's know that you're solo--they will most likely have some great ideas.

I'm kind of wishing I had some time to myself on our upcoming trip! LOL

Have a wonderful vacation!!!
