They finally have pricing for the 8-16mm, I see. At $1,100, I think I won't be trading in my Tokina for this like I originally considered.

Coming soon to your house? You're a lucky guy.

I was kind of curious about the 85/1.4 depending on the price actually. I was already considering a used Nikon- but if this turns out as nice as the Sigma 50- well-

So street price will be about the same as the 12-24mm (~$800). Makes sense I guess, probably too steep for me though.

I'll be keeping my eye on this one too, since this is the one I've been looking to rent. Thanks for the 411, Jeff. :)

I was thinking the same thing before hearing the Sigma's price. But I can definitely live without the extra 3mm for $500 more!

A- 3mm is huge on the wide end- 8mm is like 12mm on FX which is way wide
B- The street price will probably be less that msrp- closer to $800 like Code said.

I wonder if we'll see Tokina 11-16's start to hit the used market from people getting the Sigma? I also read that the Sigma 70-200 is only going to come in around $200 cheaper than the original Canon 70-200 2.8 IS, was hoping it'd be a more affordable option. Curious to see how the image quality matches up to the Canon.
