these boards are the best -- asked for secret porthole rooms when i reserved at 11 months and no luck
michelle emailed me last night that she saw a room was open - just got off the phone with dvc member services and we have

YIPEE!!! Congratulations!!!!

You will NOT be dissappointed! We had the connectors beside you in April (5522/5524) and they were wonderful! I have pictures of them on my website (linked below).

We've been in thatroom. It's GREAT. My I ask...did you have to pay a 75.00 "change" charge for changing your reservation?When are you going? Did MS say anything about Fall Fantasy?

We just discovered yesterday, that we have the secret port hole rooms on our cruise 8/25. We're in 5520, SIL & Fam in 5522, inlaws and 2 more in 5020. Checkout Castawaycay.com and wovenwonder.com, for pictures of the rooms. From what we found, the bed & sofa area are reversed, which is good for us, since we can put the kids down, and pull the curtain and have the bed/bath area together, rather than passing by the kids from the bed to the bath area.

How wonderful! It looks like the best deal on the ship. I would love to get two connecting next time we cruise Disney. We have tried 2 connecting category 6's (too expensive) and 1 category 4 for the 5 of us, but I think 2 secret porthole rooms, connecting, would be ideal.

Keep that room in goiod shape, as hubby and I will be in it starting 8/29 for our three-peat (Tony lobbied hard for a verandah, but I forced him to keep it budgetary--I told him he can hang out on the deck 7 secret aft verandah). The "55" side is his favorite side because he likes the Castaway Cay view from that side of the ship.
