2 DVC members sharing a villa.

If two couples who are both DVC members want to share a two bedroom villa, how do you make the reservation so that you can each contribute 1/2 of the points? Do you have to make two separate reservations?

One of you transfers the agreed upon number of points into the others account...method one

You each make a reservation, one of you for the first half the trip, one for the second. Have MS link these reseravations to make sure you don't need to change rooms....method two

What happens if you transfer points to another member and then you need to cancel the group's trip. Can those points be returned to the original member?

No, transferred points cannot be moved. Also, be aware that only one transfer per year is allowed. This includes a transfer in or out. So, the transfer in this case would affect both members for the year.

You could also make part of the days in one name and part in another then link them. Might not work out to exactly the right number of points, but should be close. I'd talk to MS and tell them what you want and see if they have any additional suggestions.

We have friends who traveled with us last year and purchased this year. They asked me this same question and I now know I gave them the correct answers! It looks like linking the ressies is the best way to go.
