It's terrific. I have been twice. You get to do so much they don't let guests do on a normal day. The Tour Guides make the week for you too. They are so much fun, they take care of you, and they love Disney just as much as the guests do. Have a magical time!!!

Did you mean that you are arriving early and doing the 6/20-6/25 tour?

There was a thread a few months ago about who was going but the thread didn't keep up.

If this is the tour you are going on, we will see you there!

I was the one who started that thread a few months back (if we are talking about the 6/20 - 6/25 trip). Great to meet another fellow Adventurer! It's me and my boyfriend on this trip - 25 and 26, respectively. What about you?

For more info, you may want to check out the original thread (apparently I can't post links here yet, but it's on page 3 of this forum...labeled "June 20 - Hollywood Magic).

Maybe if you start it back we may get it going again! Cheers!

I'm actually booked to take this tour in August with my mom. I'll look forward to hearing everyone's reviews after you get back in June.

I'm wondering if with World of Color being open beginning in June, if they will or would be able to help us get a prime spot to view it during our tours? I'm really getting excited about the trip. :woohoo:

Thanks Tozzie for posting the link!

Meg - I was wondering the same thing about "World of Color." I believe Disney released something about a June opening, but than pulled back. I really hope it is ready to go for our June tour and that it is part of our Adventure! *fingers crossed*

airplanegod--

I don't have my calendar in front of me, but I think those are our dates for Behind the Magic. July 17-24, or that week, anyway.

I called to add another person on to our party about 2 months ago and it was all booked up so I would expect we're a go!

I think the trip starts July 18, right? We (me, DH and DD11) will also be on that tour. This will be the second time we've taken it. My daughter and I went last year, but my husband felt he missed out so we're going this year too. We had a fabulous time, and I'm sure this tour will be no different.

Hi there everyone!
I've been away from the boards for awhile, and just saw this post. We will be on this trip in July!:cool1: It will be me, DH, DS (14) and DD (10). Last Monday I just paid for it.:scared1: We are very excited, but not looking forward to the plane ride. It will be our first time in Disneyland and can't wait to see the World of Color.

My DD11 was happy to hear there was going to be at least one kid near her age on the tour. You'll recognize us because all three of us wear glasses! We're looking forward to seeing World of Color too.

Most of the people on our tour last year were from the East Coast, although they weren't all pale.:) I was surprised we were two of only four Californians. It will be interesting to see where everyone on the July 18 tour is from.

It will be me, DH, DD 18, DS 16 and DS10.

This is husband's 50th birthday celebration, tho I'm not quite sure it is what he would have picked. That's the kind of agreeable guy he is--and everyone else is really looking forward to it.

I'm a little concerned about all the time on the schedule that we seem to be left to our own devices. But so many people rave about this tour, so I'm putting my trust in their opinions--and I am looking forward to the Imagineering gift shop!

Not too long now--and sending in the final payment made it "real."

From what I remember, the only time we were on our own was an evening in Hollywood and time in the parks. I enjoyed our time off the tour, but that might be because I was trying to meet up with friends (one lives in LA, the other in Anaheim.) In fact, for the July tour my husband is looking forward to our free time in Hollywood because he's dying to get back to Yamashiro (a Japanese restaurant nearby).

Don't worry. You'll have plenty to do. If you need ideas, just ask. People on this forum are full of great ideas.:)

I'm actually the opposite. I am concerned that there isn't enough free time, especially in Disneyland. My kids want to go on so many rides and I don't know if there is enough time, although we are staying one more night.

I have a question. Will we have to buy one day tickets to use on the last day of the tour (23rd), our extra day?

You get four-day passes, which would be good through the 23rd.

I'm doing Backstage next year and wondered about the tickets. If the tickets they give you are a 4 day, do you think you can upgrade them to a 5 or 6 day pass?

My last two Backstage Magic trips, we stayed an extra day (2008 & 2009). They gave us a parkhopper ticket for the extra day. Do know that everything changes all the time. So, ask them when you book your trip. We are going again next year ourselves! Have a great time!

When we took the tour last year, the tickets specifically said they could not be upgraded. (I had that idea, too!) We're going again on July 18 so I'll look on the tickets they give us and see if it still says the same thing.

Great news! I'll ask about that next week. Wait, just found my lanyard with the ticket inside from last year's trip. It says "Not Refundable, Not Upgradeable." I hope they've changed the rules since last August. Does anyone have their park ticket from a more recent trip?

The tune has changed and I found our original notes regarding what we asked and were told (as we WERE told they were upgradable).

Supposedly these tickets are exclusive to ABD and cannot be upgraded.

We're not happy with this and I'm off to find the cheapest one day ticket I can find for the additional day we need.

Good luck. I don't know about WDW because I've never been, but finding discounted one-day DL tickets isn't easy. Is anyone in your party in the military or have access to a military base, like retired military? They might have a better deal than you'd see elsewhere.

I just used Windows MovieMaker - it is pretty easy to use and manipulate. I like the look of some others a bit better (like imovie!) but could not find any that allowed me to include so many pictures without making a full length feature film! :rotfl:

So, looks like you are going with another Podcast group - lucky you! I know you will have a wonderful time!!
