View Full Version : Using a room key to charge

I've read a few posts mentioning the use of a room key to charge things easily. I knew that we could charge things this way at gift shops, but I'm not sure where else that is possible. How about the fast food style places in the parks or pontoon boat rental?
Any info on this would be appreciated!

You can use your "Key to the World" card at most places that sell merchandise and food. The only exception I can think of is some of the soda kiosks in the park. Just ask the cast member and they will tell you.

Basic rule of thumb I've seen is if there is a permanent structure of some kind you can charge there. Strolling vendors, carts, etc are the only places I've ever seen that do not take the room keys for charging.
BTW: It is standard policy for them to issue non-charging keys to the kiddies unless you specify otherwise. At 8 years old I tend not to like having my DD running through the parks with a live charge card!
