Just bought a new bed frame from Ikea and love it, but it does not take our box spring. Now is there a place in southern Ontario that we can get rid of it at no charge?

You could try calling some organizations who take this stuff. I know the Canadian Diabetes Association does. Or you could probably drop off at Goodwill or Salvation Army.

We posted ours on Kijiji for free and someone picked it up a few hours later. I was surprised at the response for a free used mattress.

If you live in the Niagara Region, you call the region and they have a company pick it up on your next garbage day. We put ours out at the road, but somebody came along and took it before it could be picked up.

We put big stuff out on garbage day and they will take it. Just last week we put out an entertainment unit and they took it no problem.

If you can't sell it, look up the Freecycle organization in your area. Most areas have a site where people can post things they want to give away for free, all under the Freecycle banner.
