Have a great trip! I can't wait to hear about the BLT. I'm excited to try it too. Oh, and do something silly with your CVS card and take a picutre! It could be a very fun thing to start!;)

Only 15 more days for me....:woohoo:

Thanks so much! I'm going to try to start CVSing again. Started this week w/the $10 ECBs after I stocked up on kleenex/paper towels & tp!!

I can't get the Therma care coupon to print, can anyone else?

Also, if anyone sees any coupons for the Schik razor please let me know---I'm assuming it's smarter to keep buying things with high ECB returns, right?

thanks again

Ooooh! We should find each other. I should have the lime green mickey heads on all my strollers and bags and such and they'll say hmillerbarilla. I'll be with smiller (my sister) we look a lot alike--both long blonde hair blue eyes. I'll also have my DH and the three kiddies.:dance3:

wait... here is our old picture from the GF lobby with our CVS cards. So, if you spot me, please say hello!!!

I'm on the right. Smiller is on the left. Oh, and by the way, smiller is going all granola on me and is going to start using organic toiletries!!!!!!!!!!

Which is totally great I think, but she's threatening to give me her supply from CVS. I don't think my linen closet can hold it! But how fun!:cool1:

Thanks flaky!

Well you should just come along! Someone needs to keep us all on budget....:teacher:

Long and weird? It was fantastic! Make sure to get a 1st trip button for baby, I hope she loves looking at everything.

I lose all budget thoughts there so I would be of no help - but I am a good baby holder because I am too scared of the big kids rides.

I am getting to be like smiller. I have it in my head that I can only use Dr. Bronner organic liquid soap now. Of course right after I made that decision, the stores started giving us free body wash.

Thanks ladies for the tips. I don't have any to share other than I'll be getting another one of those green bag tags. If you just buy a copy of the paper (50 cents), the green bag tag credit (a quarter) makes the paper effectively 50% off. :)

You just wait until tomorrow - I have an entire carry-on sized suitcase FILLED with CVS stockpile for you!

Good thing I cleaned and organized your linen closet, right? :laundy: I'll have the kiddos help me sort everything tomorrow.

P.S. You get some Jelly Bellys too - those aren't from CVS though.

I'm ordering some Dr. Bronner's! I'm trying to simplify everything. I cleaned out my stockpile from one cupboard in the bathroom so now Roomie has a bit more space for her hundreds of toiletries.

I still hunt sales and coupon big time! I'm using coconut oil as moisturizer - so I ordered a case while on sale at Whole Foods, get 10% off, and have tons of MFQs. Shelf price $10.99, my price $3.40.

And I definitely kept my toothpaste and contact solution stockpile. :thumbsup2

I am paying $8.99 for Dr. Bronner's at Trader Joe's, that's about $4 cheaper than other places, but if you find it cheaper, please tell me. They only have peppermint.

I am using coconut oil on my skin too! (and I almost killed my husband because I was using it in the shower). I get it at Super Walmart for $4.49, I don't know if I could do a case at a time though. I took a picture of the kind I use, it's in my blog (lol): http://iheartaldi.blogspot.com/

Have a fantastic trip :yay:

For anyone thinking about the U by Kotex. In addition to the MFR coupon there is a printable coupon if you go to the CVS website and click on the link for in-store printable coupons. It's their offer of the week. It's got the CVS logo on it which means it's a store coupon not a mfr coupon so you can layer the coupons and save $2 instead of just $1 :woohoo: :rotfl2:

The pepper mint smells quite nice but is a bit too strong for me - I'm planning on getting the baby mild! :goodvibes It's about $10.xx online. I would love to find a better price - too bad CVS doesn't carry it!

Thanks for the link in your blog! I'm not familiar with that brand - I'm currently using the Whole Foods store brand but ordered Nutiva because of the great price and coupons. I figure I'll make it through the case within the two years the product will be good for - or at least I better! :lmao:

Our CVS carries Dr. Bonner's! I don't remember which scents other than peppermint but I do remember that they had more than one. My DH likes it; I'm a Dove person myself.

Last week on the Nivea/Eucerin offer, my CVS was including a 99 cent travel size Eucerin. So if you need a small amount to get you to the $15 for the ECB's that would do. Can't use the $1 coupon on it because it is too small. But it was less than a lip balm even with the coupon for the lip product. And I actually need some travel size lotion for the 3 Day walk for breast cancer this July!

For the Nivea offer, I bought 3 body washes at 4.99 each and it gave me the ECB even though the total was $14.97. I think I read somewhere that it rounds up if it is .95 or higher. :confused3 My DD10 loves their body wash so with my coupons (3 - $2 off) and the ECB it was a good deal.

I bought the three body washes as well (with the same $2 coupons). My nieces love the Nivea and I like it too. I didn't know about the rounding up so I was looking for the cheapest item I could find to make my total over $15. I was going to do a lip balm when I found the Eucerin sample. Next time I'll try the rounding up instead of looking for a filler.

You ladies are so funny! Between a CVS card with googly eyes and the popcorn costume, I haven't had this much fun CVSing in a looooong time. My husband kept asking me what I was laughing about. We're off to Disney World in the morning too!!! Only an overnight trip, but I'm so excited!

what is everyone using their $1 off any CVS paper product for?? I know their TP is on sale, anything else??

Starting today, I think we should use it on the 99 cent tissues, it gives overage. I hope they keep coming out of the machine.

I got a BOGO free for Essence of Beauty from the scanner and they had a bunch of those body butters in clearance for $2.49 and I am getting a $1 off any CVS skin product every day at the scanner, so I used the BOGO and two $1 skin coupons so both body butters were only 49 cents.

I never thought to take out the razors from the packages...hmmm great idea. They would fit so much better. WOw you have a great sister:cloud9:

I agree! The razor thing is brilliant too. I had a friend tell me that she hadn't shaved her legs in 2 months because she only liked Venus razors and they are too expensive, so guess who ended up with 12 of them? She still hasn't shaved her legs yet though :scared1:

Removing the razors from the packages was entirely smiller's idea. It does let them fit much better and I don't have plastic containers of razors falling on me when I open the linen closet door anymore. whew!:rolleyes1

Not shaving her legs? That's scary. :crazy2:

Plus you don't have to worry about opening up that impossible plastic package when you are having a shaving emergency. Like when your teen daughter takes your razor out of your shower and you don't realize it until you are already in the shower all wet and soaped up and then you have to go find a new razor. Standing there wet and drippy trying to open a package is not fun. Not that I have ever been in that scenario, or anything. ;)

I hadn't thought of taking all the razors out of the packaging either. I will definitely be rearranging my razor stash tomorrow! It will help make room for all the body wash.

I had sworn I wasn't going to do the Nivea/Eucerin again since I need three more body washes like I need a hole in the head! But then I found 3 more $2 coupons today so I don't think I will be able to stop myself. I know what my nieces will find in their next gift bags!

I love the card scanner coupons. I'm addicted!:lmao:
This past week I've gotten 2 rolls paper towels .29/ea &, 2 FREE rolls TP using the $1 off CVS paper product, 3 FREE cocoa butter lotions using $1 off CVS skincare product, & 1 FREE CVS hair conditioner using $1 off CVS hair care product.
I love adding these free or very cheap products when rolling my ECB's. It makes my order look bigger & my oop very low. I got 3 comments on a job well done by other shoppers this week.
And-don't forget your bag tag!:thumbsup2

I also had to use some ECB's to buy 2 pks of silly bands for the kiddos.:scared1:(The things we do for the kids. I could've used those ECB's better.)

Got back $3 ECB for the Kelloggs/Milk, $5 ECB for the candy, $3 ECB for the American Greetings Cards.

DD14 has developed a love of cashews and asked for those. I bought the Hershey nuggets because they were gold and I will use these on DD18s graduation candy buffet (colors are blue/gold), DDs and I all love the Special K cereal bars in the morning on the way to school/work, Mother's day is coming up and now is a good time to get cards since there was an ECB deal, a CRT AND a manufacturer's coupon, and I will need plenty of graduation cards since DD is graduating which means all her friends are graduating too!

I forgot to get the Thermacare! Oops. They were out and a clerk told me they were substituting CVS brand up at the counter but I forgot about them by the time I got to the counter!

If you were going to buy Mother's day cards or Graduation cards anyway, it might be a good time to get those because of the $3 ECB when you spend $15. I got a Free card when you buy 2 American Greetings cards CRT from the coupon machine too! And if you go to the American Greetings site, there is a printable coupon for $1.00 off when you buy 3 American Greetings cards. Warning! That coupon prints out the full sheet! Is anyone else getting frustrated with the cost per item to reach the ECB total? For example, there's a $3.00ecb if you spend $10. Problem is that everything is either $3.00 or $6.00 so you have to really spend $12 to get $3 back. :headache:

I don't know if CVS has an official policy about accepting expired ECB's, but I've never had a problem using them when I've forgotten and used them a few days late. I wouldn't wait too much longer to use them and if you have a favorite cashier who is coupon friendly that might be the way to go just in case.

Well here is my update about trying to redeem the expired extra care bucks:

I bought a ton of hallmark cards (we dont have american greetings here in metro NY). I told the cashier and showed her the expired extra care bucks.
She said it probably wont work, but I will try and scan it. She did, It didnt work. She told me to call the number on back of the card, I did. The customer service rep said that normally she couldnt re issue the extra care bucks because they were from gillette for some razor blades dh bought, but since I am a "good" customer and have never called before she is authorized to do it ONLY this once?? Um, last summer because of my surgeries I think I spent like $300 plus just on bandage supplies etc. Yeah, I am a good customer.

And on another strange note. We were also in the pharmacy picking up ds prescription and my neighbor works there. She said to make sure to call the number on the print out and give them ratings of all 5's during the survey. I joked and said, do you get something for this? She looked at me so strange.

I called and did the survey. All 5's. Also the other lady with the exta bucks stuff asked me which cvs do I shop at? There are 2 in the town. I told her which one. I know the one I go to has major road construction and a shopping mall renovation so I bet business is down. Do you think she told me to do the survey so that CVS might want to close this store, oh I so hope not. I hate the other cvs location even though its 24 HR. and I love the people here etc. Anyone have any insight??

That's great, it is things like that go a long way - we're probably the only ones who look at our receipts :lmao:

Okay, LanaJae, so how come we didn't run into each other because I just got back from there and saw the stuff you're talking about. I got a wooden coat rack for 75% for inside our deck door. I think it came to $3.50. Do you think they have these clearance items at the other stores in our area?

My best deal of the day other than free CVS kleenex (scanner $1 off paper product Q), free mini canister of CVS wet wipes (scanner $1 off skin care product Q) and .49 CVS brand Benadryl (scanner Q for $1 off allergy product plus 2 ECB's back), I got some Pez dispensers and candy for DGS3. Some were 75% off and others were 90% off. (Easter ones were .75 for dispenser and several refills and Hello Kitty from Valentine's Day was .15 for dispenser and three refills) He's really into Pez and even sat still for a haircut on Monday when I promised him some Pez!! Amazing!!! He hates haircuts.

If you're going to do the Dunkin Donuts deal, you can print coupons for it on CVS.com plus use the one from the insert. Still a little pricey but a little extra savings.

The scanner gave me $5 off $40 which is the first time I've gotten a $/$$ coupon in ages and ages! DH's card also produced the same Q. The scanner spit out way more Q's than usual. On my card I got 7 Q's and on DH's card I got 6 Q's today.

Wow all I can say is you all get good scanner cpns, here in NY I did get the 5/40, then # off pam anderson perfume, $ off hallmark, but only bags, bows and ribbon, NO cards and something else, I dont know, its for something I would not even use, basically nothing except for the big money one. I am thinking of getting some clearance stuff maybe saturday because she said it will take up to 48 hours for my extra care expired bucks to be restored etc.

Oh and the clearance stuff here is not the things you are speaking of like waffle makers, its more like toiletry items, but very few. I donate them to the christmas store at my ds old school since I am on the school council. Its slim pickins here in NY I tell you!!

I was probably there right after you. I think I was home by 1 P.M.! :sad2:

Yes, Jen was working the register and you're right, she is so nice. I forgot that her dad manages the other store. She said he got hurt at work when he tripped and fell over something so he's been laid up for a while now.

I went today and did the candy deal, the milk & cereal deal - going back on Saturday to do that one again as I buy two gallons of milk a week. I also did the Dunkin Donuts coffee and U by Kotex deals. $45 before coupons $15 after - not my best week, but not bad and I got $13 of ECB back - plus the cashier was a pain, reading each coupons thoroughly and not using my Dunkin Donuts Mfg coupon on top of my CVS store coupons - as I can't use three coupons for two items - umm, hmm, why not - as it's store coupons vs mfg coupons but not fighting her.

I found a great deal today for the CVS $1 off Skin care coupon - Ivory and Dove are on sale for 99 cents and the coupon worked so FREE soap. :woohoo::rotfl::rotfl:

My CVS went to 90% on Easter merchandise today...the best part was that so much "non-Easter" was included. I bought several "Tink" little tins with beaded handles for 69 cents each (will use with birthday gifts!!), AWESOME hair accessories for my DD (I think the brand was called Eye Candy) for 29 cents (just bows, hair ties, etc. nothing Easter about them), large plastic eggs with 75 small tattoos in each (some sports, some puppies...nothing Easter about it other than it's in an egg!) for 25 cents...

Of course, I had to throw in some of the 8 cent Cadbury Orange Creme eggs as a reward for my good shopping trip!!!

The cashier could not believe my haul...I think she was bummed she was working and couldn't go shop right then! I am definitely checking another CVS tomorrow!!

I saw that car in the parking lot when I drove in but didn't know it was yours. One of these days our paths will cross! :goodvibes

Jennifer said he had a lot of bloody fluid drained from the knee and it's in bad shape right now.

I found a food processor at the Maplewood store and they charged less than 25% for it. It rang up at $6.25. But then I bought a sandwich maker and it rang up at full price (was supposed to be $3.75) so they had planned to issue a money card for a refund but couldn't because I had used some coupons for other stuff like the ThermaCare wraps and two CVS coupons for skin care and paper products. So they issued ECB's which I've never had happen. :confused3 I need to try to figure out if it came out right or not. It was very confusing and the cashier seemed to be new. Guess who was there to lend assistance? (Yes, her name starts with a D but she was pretty civil and even apologized at the end of it all. :scared1:)

We had a little weekend away last weekend and I indulged myself in the hotel waffle maker. Now I'll have to head out tomorrow and look for one of those!

I also got the 5/40 from the coupon machine tonight. I got one Thermacare (last one), did the cereal and milk deal (ECB did not print - had to go back for them), got two of the covergirl mascaras for .49 each, and a bunch of Arizona Teas for DH. I also got a CRT for Noxema which I've used daily since I was a teenager and I had a coupon to combine with that, so I was excited! I got the Advil which had a $2 peelie on it. Oh, and I got a box of Pampers because I had the $3 CVS coupon from Parents magazine and a $2 MFG.

I tried to find the Halle Berry perfume that is 4.99 but couldn't. The cheapest thing I saw was 12.99. Has anyone seen that?

Oh, and looking at my receipt I see they didn't scan my bag tag again. I always forget to watch for that.

I went last night to do the candy deal on DH's card (for DDs graduation candy buffet - thanks flaky for the idea).

So I decided to use the $5/$40 since I wanted a few other things. I got the candy deal, the Special K/milk deal, buy 2 get 1 CVS face scrub deal, Nivea deal, 2 Starbucks coffee drink deal. I FORGOT TO USE MY ECB!!! I couldn't figure out why my total was so high. I knew I bought a few things that weren't free (like the face scrub and the special k), but it seemed extra high. So as I am driving home I did one of the head slap :headache: things and remembered I didn't use my ECB. I used my coupons, buy my ECB were still attached at the bottom of my last receipt. Oh well. That serves me right for going late on a Friday night after a long day at work.

Oh, My! Been there done that.

Look at it this way you'll have double ECB for your next trip.
