If you do not want to miss any of the dinners with your whole family, can you dine in Palos later in the evening for dessert only?? I don't want to miss the Chocolate Souffle everyone raves about..

Thanks,
Chief:tongue:

I don't know about the dessert only deal...but you will be missing the best meal on the cruise if you choose not to eat a meal at Palo. We "double dipped" that night. We looked at the menus at www.dcltribute.com - and chose the night that was least appealing to us. We had the 2nd/late seating, so we did a early dinner at Palo (6pm) - had a fabulous meal - then went to our regular dinner time and just had an appetizer (DH had a dessert too). I highly recommend the High Tea and Brunch also if you are going on the 7 day cruise. By the way...we did love the chocolate souffle at Palo, but one of the nights they served a Grand Mariner Souffle with a warm vanilla sauce at the regular dinner (not Palo) and we thought it was just as good!!

You can not appreciate Palo's without experiencing the entire meal. It's fabulous....and the brunch is also a must. I still need to lose weight from those 2 meals....lol

We asked our server about this last time (Zita) and the answer was yes - but we would probably be seated at the bar. We also asked about stopping by for drinks (the bar is really nice and seldom used) and that was also okay - however we never found enough time to do it. Like everyone else I agree that Palo is a "must" for dinner - the atmoshphere, the food and the service are all outstanding!

and since the coffee is reported to be much better than elsewhere on board, this might be a great stop for wayward coffee fans.

Do you recommend going to a Palo dinner at sea or while in port? I have heard the view is pretty while in port. Just wondering if others had an opinion.

We went when we were out to sea and saw the sun set on the ocean while we were eating - BEAUTIFUL. I would take a look at the menus and go on the night that the regular dining menu is least appealing. We went on our night in ANimators Palate, but didn't want to miss the LIGHT SHOW, so we did Palo @ 6pm, then went to our normal 2nd seating @ 8:30, had just an appetizer (DH had dessert too) and saw the show. You can see the menus on - www.dcltribute.com - Enjoy!!

If you just want to go to the bar for a drink or dessert, do you still pay the $5 per person?

on our last cruise we had such awesome servers. we mentioned that we would enjoy the chocolate souffle every night - kidding around - and they brought us chocolate souffle from palo's every night. it doesn't hurt to ask....of course we tipped them extra for their efforts!!
