beach towels

Do people take their own beach towels and/or blankets to Castaway Cay? I know they have towels as you're leaving the ship but I'm wondering how big they are. Do people bring beach blankets or are their enough beach chairs for everyone? I'd also like to know what kind of shade options are available since my DH is not a beach/sun person. Thanks!

There are quite a few chairs. Also they have some trees that draw shade and also some beach umbrellas. Are you traveling with children? If so the key is to get off the boat fairly early and you can get chairs with an umbrella. The umbrellas are not quite as hard to get on the adults only beach as it is not as crowded. I never took anything extra. We just grabbed enough towels so that we all got 2 towels just in case. Hope that helps some.
