We rolled in on Wednesday afternoon, after five days on the road. I didn't know there wasn't wireless at the campsites, but we got one of the first-come-first-serve modems and got internet hooked up at our campsite.
We're in the 300 loop and it's great! We did Magic Kingdom last night and EPCOT today. This is our first time staying at The Fort, and I think it's fabulous. I'll post pictures later.

The first time we took our kids they were 5, 3, and 18 months. We were in my parents MH and drove the 1000 miles from Maryland. The kids were really good and we had a great time. My 5 year old loved playing with his legos. Also, this was when VCR's first came out so we didn't have on in the MH. With the convenience of DVD's, the drive would go by fairly quickly and the kids did sleep alot.::MinnieMo

We're in OH, just on the other side of Pittsburgh. We take two nights to get to FW. DH and i don't like to push it and when the kids were around, they enjoyed stopping in different states. We try to stay just north of Charlotte and hit that early the next a.m. before rush hour and do the same in Jacksonville. Works out nice. Coming home we'd hit the ones we missed going down (except WV where there are none along 77S). It's really a nice drive. Of course you need to be at FW at least a week or it's not worth all that towing and the cost of FW these days.

This rash kept flaring up every day starting last Saturday. At first we thought it was from his carseat, then we thought it was from the sunscreen, then after avoiding both it still flared up, leaving us wondering what he was allergic to, off to the doctor we went. Turns out it's Solar Dermatitis.

Isaiah and I spent the afternoon at Centracare in Lake Buena Vista. If you have to go to the doctor while at DW, and you have means to get somewhere else, don't go here. We waited over two hours just to get in to see the doctor. Not the clinic's fault, of course - it was just busy. I'd recommend somewhere away from vacation-land that isn't so busy.

Great live trip report, thanks for the photos. By the way, there is wifi (not free) located at the trading post. It is also $10 per day (or maybe more now).
Glad you got through the Centracare facility OK. We had to take our daughter there on a Saturday night one trip. She had been on antibiotics for an ear infection before we left and had to take her last three doses on the travels down. Of course, we lost the Rx in the car on the way down and figured, what the heck, she'll be fine. Of course she flared up with a temp of 104 to 105 while we were in Epcot and the family was split up. I took her and Matt back to the hotel while waiting for Nancy and her parents to meet us. We got to the CentraCare facility at midnight on a Saturday and got a real education on nightlife and the aftermath that they see! All the police took time to spend some attention on our little girl and they made the most of it.
Anyhow, enjoying the posts. Hope you have a great and safe trip back too!

Eric and I rode bike around Fort Wilderness while Grant and Isaiah went canoeing. I saw this cute little camper at a tent site, and I had to get a picture. It's a little cabin thing on a trailer, and it even has an air conditioner! Too cool!

I snagged a good sized fish by the tail. I couldn't tell what it was, but I don't know my fish very well. Anyone know what that is? It got loose right after this photo, so this is the best look I got of it.

Beautiful family! As you can see by my sig, we're a 2 DS family too! Your TR is rrrrevvvving me up for our upcoming trip to the place "Where Magic Reigns!" Keep it comin'. :thumbsup2
BTW, I noticed ya'll ate in Germany. Awesome! If you liked the brats and schnitzel, try the Biergarten, the kids'll love it. It features a German folksy type show and there is a dance floor down front. (Dancing around is encouraged.)
EDIT/ADD: Oops! I read on another thread that you're on your way home. Maybe next trip. Hope your trip was fantastical!

lathamary,,"Fishin' at the Fort! We all know who this one's for"
And you'd better believe that I appreciate it too, :thumbsup2
The fish you hooked by the tail musta seen you coming,,he was sure try'n to get away from you !:lmao: From the looks of it, I'm gonna say it was about 13" long, it's a "bass",, and the smaller fish ya'll caught is a "bream/sunfish/bluegill."
It is sooo good to see parents fishing with their children,,even if you dont catch any,,it's just fun ! And a PLUS if you do catch a fish.
See, now ya'll can go home and tell folk, "We went to Disney World and caught FISH !!"
Not many people can say that ! :thumbsup2
Great pics and report!

Somewhere in Florida. I so wanted to stop and demand strawberries for .75 cents, but Grant wouldn't let me.
