Is there enough to do on this road/street that we dont have to really "plan" we could just go there and start walking? How long do you think a family could spend there seeing the sights?

Also, what EXACTLY is the Hollywood Walk of Fame? (can you tell Im a tourist?)

Help!
:)

The Walk of Fame is literally, just the famous gold (bronze?!) stars embedded in the sidewalks.

It's kind of a scuzzy, icky area, if you're off the main drag. Stick to Hollywood blvd, though, and you'll be fine. I usually park at the Hollywood and Highland structure, where the Kodak theater is. There's a shopping center there, tons of restaurants, great views of the Hollywood sign, the hills, Capitol Records building, etc. Head out of the center, and go right, and the Chinese theater is right there... the El Capitan is directly across the street as well.

Regarding how much time you'll need, it really depends on what you want to do. You can eat, catch a movie, shop, take pictures... or I've been in and out of there in an hour. :confused3

If you have some extra time, a good side trip from there is the La Brea Tar Pits/Farmers Market/Grove area :)

Thanks for the skuzzy warning.
We'll stick to Hollywood Blvd! :thumbsup2
