Well, I tried to look this one up, with not much luck. However, if I reach waaaaay back into the recesses of my brain, I vaguely seem to recall that the patella (kneecap), being a sesamoid bone (a relatively small, roundish bone not part of the axial skeleton) is not ossified until later childhood. Maybe that's what they mean. Anyway, it sounds good, doesn't it?;)

You may find this interesting. My Mother had a theory that children who picked their nose and ate it had pin worms. I have no idea where she got that from. Is there a technical torm for it?:confused:
