How to become a "Face Character"??

A young friend of mine, 13yo, has set her sights on becoming Snow White at WDW when she is old enough. She has the right coloring and she is very pretty. I told her I could find out how one gets that sort of job. Do they look for drama students? Or is it all "the look"?

Unfortunately, face characters are entirely based on hieght and looks. Acting abilities are second. Most of the princess characters start at 5'5" which I hate cause I'm just an inch too short, and my dream is to be Belle! I went to a face character audition once. It's like a police line up! You get called into a room and line up with a handful of other hopefuls, and the people in charge just sit there and look at you for a good 5 minutes. Then they let you know if you get to go to the next step or not. I was told I was too cheeky and had the wrong face shape for the characters in my hieght range, but I've heard of them being even harsher than that. If you get asked to return, they'll have you try on the costume, make-up, and wig, and then you study the movie and perform some of your character's lines. I would love to get that far some day!
