Does anybody know how full the Goofy registration is? I'm not seeing a percentage on the website.

Thanks

In the past that meant that the race is less then 50% full. I will shoot them an email and see if that is still the case since the site redesign.

I don't like the new web page. I knew they used to post once they hit 50%.

Thanks!

I would be interested as well. I am going to register but with 2 of us I will hang on to my $600+ as long as possible.

The response I got from Disney Endurance is below.

Frank-
Yes, as events get closer to reaching capacity, we will post updates on
our web site.
Thanks,

So at least they are still going to post the percent (once it hits 50% probably) so that's good.

The economy plus the removal of mail in/DVC/Cast member discounts has slowed registration. Disney will post when they hit 50% as it drives more people to register quicker.

The Goofy and Half filled by this time last year.

Thanks for the info Frank and Robert. I was wondering if Disney was going to post numbers since it seems so late to not be at 50% yet! There are no percentages posted for the Wine and Dine either.

I can't even get the website to work. It won't load any of the events.

Maybe these will work...

I wonder if that was before they opened it up again and let in another 2500!!!

The Goofy FILLED(5000 entrants) on 3/18 last year. That would equal a 66.66% of the total 7500 that they ultimately allowed in. The Half FILLED on 4/28 last year.

Nope. Only part of the page loads. Ever since they changed the website, it has never worked properly for me. I can still go to active's website to register, but I find it annoying that they have such a poor website.

What browser are you using? I can get the page to load correctly with IE6, IE7, and Firefox.

I have tried with IE (don't know what version) and I just tried with FF but no go. I am even on my DH's computer now thinking maybe it was my computer. I can get the first page to load but when I click on the race, the next page doesn't load.

Goofy isn't still at 50%!!!

Half finally hit 50% 2 weeks after it filled last year! After charging the same this year for the full(and Half) :confused3 No wonder it is taking so long!

Gosh, I just did a half on Sunday and I kept thinking about the Goofy. I don't think I can walk 39.3 miles in two days.:confused3 Man, that is just so overwhelming to me. I really admire those who can complete the Goofy!:worship:

The goofy is mind over matter. Just one step at a time. If you want to finish, you could do it. Just like Nike states :thumbsup2

This is so true. The other thing to think about is that you wouldn't run a half marathon at the same pace if you knew you had to do a full the next day. I couldn't run a 90 minute half and then do a full the next day but if I knew I was doing the goofy I would go much slower in the half so I had enough energy left for the next day. Heck, if I ran the first 3 miles of a half at the same pace I did a 5K I would be walking or shuffling before the end.

I agree! I just plan to finish the 1/2 with least amount of effort. I save as much energy for day 2 (Marathon) as I can. The goofy is a survival item unless you are a true stud!

Or a crazed Panda!

Monte you can do it, you are way stronger than you imagine you are. Kim finally believed she could do it and did it.

I couldn't have said it better myself. When I ran Goofy this year, I ran the half 20-25 minutes slower than my normal pace and the full 45 minutes slower than usual. Doing so kept my legs feeling fresh and prevented me from getting tired and worn out during the weekend.

Ditto, here, and I felt pretty good (still tired, but good).
