lanyards

We have a group of 15 and would like to get some lanyards for our KTTW. Any suggestions on where to get them? I've seen some sites for cheap ones and nice ones...

You can buy them inexpensively for under $1 each at most sporting goods stores. They come in a variety of colors.

We bought them and never used them. We kept the kids cards in the safe and ours in our fanny pack. You only need the kids cards to board or leave the ship. We did not allow our kids charging rights so they did not need their cards.:)

We had them and were glad we did! We got ours at Old Navy for 98cents.
It was a great way to keep our daughter (and us) from losing the KTTW!;)

Did I read someplace the you can buy some nice, waterproof, DCL lanyards on the ship? Anyone familiar with these? I was hoping it might make a nice souvenir.....

They sell nice DCL lanyards on the ship for 6.50.

Yes, the DCL lanyards make a nice souvenir. They come with a plastic case to hold a KTTW. The case doesn't seal tightly, but we had no problems with cards falling out (even with kids swinging them around like lassos, etc.). We insisted that DD13 and Dniece9 keep their cards/lanyards with them at all times, since they weren't always with adults who had a key to our stateroom... DD thought it wasn't cool to wear the lanyard around her neck, but decided it made an ok belt!

I see you are from Pittsburgh. We got ours from Nautica Outlet at Grove CIty Outlet Mall for $2.50 a piece. I have to tell everyone on the disboards, you guys made me look smart many times. Having the lanyards was one, over-the-door shoe holder, bringing my own Diet Coke, etc., etc. etc. :) :)

they have increased in price even since May--but we used 4, and sold the other 4 on the ship to people looking for a cheaper one than in the gift shop--we used them all the time, especially the kids--

We found ours at the dollar store. They were cute, either bright red or bright blue, with American flags on them.

The cases were in the canoe dept of a sporting goods store - I think 3 for $3.99.
