Welcome to my first ever PTR!! For two years I have enjoyed reports by other DISers and now I am biting the bullet and jumping on board!! I hope you enjoy the journey with me! First a little background!
My husband has always said he would never go to Disney World. He has always been pretty adamant about it, so I have never pressed the issue. Then a few years ago our children began talking about going. I had taken DD (14) when she was almost 4 years old but we had not returned. My DS (16) had never been. We began planning and went March 2009 for Spring Break. And we had a blast…just the 3 of us! Everyone thought I was crazy taking off alone with two teens for a trek to Orlando (we drove the 11 hours from our house!!). But we had so much fun. We stayed for 8 days and did almost everything we had set out to do!! That trip also made me a firm believer in Rope Drop, Touring Plans and not stressing when something doesn’t get done! It also made my kids fall in love with WDW and I forgot how much I loved the magic there!!
On our trip home, we began planning our next trip…when we would go we weren’t sure about but we knew that it would happen sometime. My goal was Christmas 2010. I figured we could fit in a family vacation with DH somewhere he “approved” of and then the kids and I along with my parents could go to WDW around Christmas. Great plan!! I started getting everyone’s wish list at the end of December 2009 and making tentative goal dates as to when to book, dream about ADRs, etc! Every time I would get an e-mail about the newest offer I would jokingly forward to DH just so I could hear the sarcastic response!! (And also hoping one day he would see the light!!) One day while perusing the DISboards (an addiction of mine!!) I noticed that the great deal for military was extended through part of 2010 ($99 tickets for 4 days -5 would be better but I am not complaining!!) So I began plotting to go sooner than Christmas since the tickets are only good through September and we have school to deal with on top of that! I forwarded the e-mail and told him maybe, just maybe, we could move the “family vacation” to later in the fall.
In the meantime, I began planning for the “family trip”. We go to Gatlinburg several times a year and had decided to lay-off and try something different this year. So I had given the kids a few options for vacation (San Antonio-one of our favorite places; Washington DC/Williamsburg, VA-another fave; St. Augustine, FL- with a secret plot to get close to WDW!; and finally Mt. Rushmore). They chose Mt. Rushmore, so off I was to make the reservations and plans. Now fast forward to January 31, 2010…..It is one week before the New Orleans Saints play in their first ever Super Bowl :woohoo: and DH has been a die-hard fan for the 43 years of their existence. He has suffered what every true Saints fan has suffered. So naturally he was on a high! He wakes up (I like to think literally!) and says “I have been thinking maybe I have been selfish. Let’s go to WDW this summer and maybe tack something else on at the end.” I told him, “Well we really had our hearts set on Mt Rushmore and Custer State Park”…..well, okay, maybe not, I said “Okay! You mean it? Mt Rushmore will always be there! Can I book today?!?!?!?!?”
I totally attribute his change of heart to the fact that he was on cloud nine due to football and the Saints upcoming victory (because “We Believe!!”, “Who Dat” and all that jazz!). I did not care what caused the change of heart, I was off to make my room reservation and begin our planning.
So, this trip is different from one I normally would plan. No Park Hoppers since it is for only 4 days and I did not want to push him on that front! We also will have to skip some things we really may want to do but we have prioritized and will hope for the best! This trip is really designed around showing DH that Disney is full of magic! The kids are on board and understanding, plus they are old enough to do things without us being attached to them!
So who exactly are we?? I will introduce everyone…coming up!!

Now to the introductions! We actually have three children but the oldest (DS) is 20 and considers us too “lame” to go on vacation with anymore! He stays too busy with school and friends, so it will be our 16 year old son, Chris, and our 14 year old daughter, Madison along with me and my husband, Keith. First I will introduce my dear children.
This is Chris (16). He told me the other day that he wishes we had gone to WDW sooner because now he feels like he has missed out on so much. But we have taken him to Sea World, Busch Gardens, Six Flags, Dollywood….he really hasn’t missed out on fun, just the Disney fun! Chris is full of energy and ready to try anything! http://i846.photobucket.com/albums/ab29/tinksthree/Disney%202009/100_0646-1.jpg
And today. He has grown like a weed since last year, so I felt I should give an “updated” picture. http://i846.photobucket.com/albums/ab29/tinksthree/Disney%202009/easter6-1.jpg
This is Madison (14). I took her for the first time right before she turned 4 and it was very magical. It was almost 10 years before we got to go back. Her favorite spot was Toontown so we went there last year and took “10 years later” pics. It is amazing how fast they grow up!! When I informed her Toontown was about to be no more, tears came to her eyes with an exclamation of “NO!!” But once she saw the new plans I think she may be okay with it! The other day she told me she wondered how people that go to WDW several times a year do not get bored. Of course I explained to her that she has not even seen a third of what is offered. But I also asked her if she thought us going again was too soon and then planning again for December or March 2011… she said “no that is too far apart”…ummmm then that would put us in the above category right?? She had to agree. I love her reasoning sometimes!

And this is Madison now.

Here is one of our “Then and Now Pictures”:

My name is Tisa. I LOVE to travel…anywhere! I am constantly plotting where we can go next and what to do. I love day trips, weekend trips, you name it! It literally drives my husband crazy!! I am not a homebody! I also love trying and doing new things. This will be my 5th trip to WDW.
The three of us last year :
http://i846.photobucket.com/albums/ab29/tinksthree/Disney%202009/100_0399.jpg
Then there is my wonderful hubby, Keith! :lovestruc (I got the “flat husband” idea from a TR I was reading when I first began planning our March ’09 trip.) I knew immediately that I had to "take him along" and this was something I had to do!! We figured we would show him he was having a great time! We took pictures which we would text to him showing him enjoying his many adventures!! And he smiled the whole time!!
http://i846.photobucket.com/albums/ab29/tinksthree/Disney%202009/DSCF3356.jpg
Thankfully he does like to travel, he just doesn’t like to plan or talk about it. He will not get excited until the day of a trip! He is the world traveler in our family since he has been practically all over the world while in the Air Force. Since Europe tops my Bucket list locals, he loves to rub it in that he has been to Paris and London and Italy…good thing we have a happy marriage!! As far as WDW goes, he has only been once and proclaims to despise Disney! He went in 1972 or so. He was around 7…..but doesn’t remember anything about the trip except for almost drowning in the hotel pool. I guess that is enough to make you not want to go back somewhere! He also dislikes crowds and standing in lines and walking a lot….yeah, my work has been cut out for me! BUT I am thinking positive thoughts and will hopefully be lucky enough to dodge the worst!! Last year at Spring Break worked with the crowd levels so my fingers are crossed!!
And here we are together on Easter Sunday:http://i846.photobucket.com/albums/ab29/tinksthree/Disney%202009/easter2.jpg
So that is our crew! Now that all of that is out of the way, I will next tackle our plans!!

Make that at least two readers. :woohoo:
:yay:Glad you finally started a trip report. Great start. I love the photos. You have a beautiful family!
Mt Rushmore hasn't moved an inch since it was carved about 90 years ago. It will be there to visit later. But this could be your last chance to visit Toontown. :eek:It's not closing until fall right? By the way, what the heck is in San Antonio? :confused3 I've never been there but there has to be a reason it is your favorite.
We have a lot in common. You could have been describing me when you said:

No matter how busy or broke we have been over the years, we always find a way to go somewhere. :cool1:
I can't wait to read more. Don't leave out any details. ;)

Hooray!! So glad you are here!! :dance3:
I totally agree about Mt Rushmore and Toontown! I had not thought about that! I read that Ariel's Grotto will be closing April 11 and she will either be in Adventureland or DHS with Prince Eric in her dress rather than her fins. The rest of Toontown is supposed to close in the fall...I think. I plan to make a final walk-through in June!
When we go to San Antonio we go to the Alamo and the Riverwalk area. We love to ride the boat and eat at the restaurants along the Riverwalk. There is also the el Mercado that we really like...think Mexico at Epcot bumped up a few notches. But we also really love Sea World and Schlitterbahn (an awesome waterpark). We have also done caves in the area. There is also the ole World's Fair area with a space needle that we enjoy. We usually fill 5-6 days when we go there.
Thanks for the compliments!! I will try my best to give all of the details!!! I am so excited that my ticker now says 1 month!! :woohoo:

We love a lot of the same travel destinations as your family. I am also ready to go on just about any trip!
Tell your DH he really needs to take you to Europe! We have been to Italy twice and it is one of the most remarkable places imaginable. I really hope you get to go someday.
Looking forward to the rest of your PTR!

So you have the “Why” and “Who”, now I will give you the “When”, “Where”, and “How”!!
When: June 5-June 12, 2010
Well, the Disney portion of our trip will actually be June 5-June 10. On Thursday, June 10th, we head to the 2nd part of the adventure….Keith’s tack-on portion (St. Augustine)!!
Where:
Initially I had us staying at POP Century. Last year I wanted to stay at POP so bad, but since the trip was for my kids, I let them choose. We stayed at All-Star Sports. Side note: let me just add….if you are ever at WDW at Spring Break and not a part of a cheer or dance competition…stay somewhere else! Along with the competition girls, the hotel had several senior trippers. It was loud and overrun with craziness, plus my then 15 year old got an eyeful at the pool and at breakfast each day. Other than that the resort was fine but I just had no desire to risk a repeat of last year at an All-Star, it left a less-than-desired taste for ASSports! So, I was very excited about staying at POP! We were also getting a 40% off military discount which made the room cost much less than even an off-site room or Shades of Green.
Then about 2 weeks ago on my way home from work, I was thinking …we are getting 40% off our room, why not upgrade?? So I checked into it and our most desired of all resorts to stay at (Poly and WL) were still way out of our price range. Moderates however, only added about $200.00. I still don’t get why Deluxe would be even double the Moderate Resorts. That is a huge difference…but I guess that is just how it is!! :confused3 We aren’t in the rooms long enough to justify paying that much. Maybe one day, but not this trip.
Thus began my dilemma of where to stay since I had decided to go with a Moderate. I recruited the kiddos and we began looking at the options. (Another note: If you have two teenagers and decide you need help making a decision…they will have two VERY different ideas!) We pulled up pictures on various web sites and pretty quickly ruled at Caribbean Beach…something just didn’t click with us and the pictures. So that left Coronado Springs and Port Orleans. Well, I had a girl wanting Port Orleans (either one) and a boy wanting CSR. So what does any good mother do?? I told them thanks for the input…and I made the decision. :rolleyes1
Only the problem is, I could not decide! I read reviews of each. I made a pros and cons list. CSR looks so hot. There seems to be no trees and then I read reviews on the distance to walk and the business conferences. But with Port Orleans…I always pass this one by! The primary reason is because I grew up one hour from New Orleans. We go for day-trips all of the time! And being in the "Deep South" we have plantation homes everywhere!! When we spend the night in New Orleans we stay here:
http://i846.photobucket.com/albums/ab29/tinksthree/Disney%202009/IMG_2939.jpg
or here:
http://i846.photobucket.com/albums/ab29/tinksthree/Disney%202009/IMG_3006.jpg
So I just always felt if I were going to Disney why do I want to go to a place that is so much like home??? POFQ really looks similar...only very Disneyfied.
But I think the smells may be slightly different in NOLA than WDW!! :rotfl:
For some unknown reason, I made this decision way, way too hard! It is only a room for goodness sake! So I read some more reviews and checked out more pictures and decided to just sleep on it. Amazing what sleep can do because the next morning, there was no doubt where I wanted to stay. The pros out-weighed the cons by far and I suddenly was very excited to be staying at Port Orleans Riverside!
So that is our “Where”! I like the landscaping and it just looks so peaceful and relaxing. Something I hope will come in handy if my plans to return for mid-day breaks work out! Also, I love the idea of the boat ride to DTD. Plus we have rental opportunities (also avail at CSR but not POP) that I think, if we have time, will be a fun option. I know this resort is larger than POFQ but it just seemed more appealing. I do hope to visit POFQ while we are there and check it out. I have also gotten some very positive responses about POR since I made this decision which has upped my excitement!!
How:
It is an 11 hour drive to WDW from our home. We had considered flying but the other portion of our trip dictated that flying is not a cost effective option. It really isn’t a bad drive and we are not a family that minds riding in a car. We think nothing of deciding at the last minute to drive 2 ½ -3 hours to the coast (MS Gulf Coast) or New Orleans for a day and drive home that evening. To us the journey is just as much fun! So right now, I am trying to talk Keith into leaving early (like 2am or so!) so we can get to the hotel and spend some time relaxing and maybe exploring since we have DTD that evening. We left last year at 4:30am and got to our resort in plenty of time. But this part is totally a work in progress!! Deep down I know it is because we only have so long to spend this time around so I want to get in as much time as possible!
Next I will tackle some of our "more detailed" plans...trying to decide...ADRs or Parks....hmmmm :scratchin

POR would be my choice too. It's funny how much time and effort we put into picking where to stay. :) It took us about 3 months to pick a rental house.
When we have a long day of driving, we almost always leave super early. There is never any traffic and you will cover more miles while everyone is resting or asleep. I would leave at 2am just to make sure you have extra time to get there.
How about ADRs and Parks?!:surfweb:

I know...I always wonder why I stress over the little things like where to stay so much!?
We really like driving pre-dawn. I was the only one drivign last year and it was fine. The kids slept some but I could not so by 9pm I was exhausted. I think with two of us driving this time, though, we could rotate and take little catnaps. Plus if we get there early we can rest then. Also, you never know with traffic and road construction if there will be major tie-ups.
An update is coming soon! Not too long now!! :thumbsup2

ADRs
One thing we knew we wanted were TS meals. We really like the breaks they give us and, well, we just like service restaurants!! To begin this segment, I am going to go back to last year and reminince a little...I hope you do not mind! :goodvibes
We had a hard time last year deciding where we wanted to eat. We had the DDP but I still paid a few OOP. We ate a lot last year! Almost too much!! One good thing about being commandos at WDW is you walk off everything you put in your mouth!! No time for it to go to the hips!! :rotfl2:
So last year we were there for 8 days and we really did not eat anything that we did not like. Some places or food choices we may not return to but overall, our dining experience rocked!! So this was our March 2009 list. I am highlighting the choices we will be returning to this year!!
Saturday: T-Rex-this restaurant had just opened so we knew very little about it. The kids loved it and I really enjoyed it as well. I thought they did a good job on the restaurant and the food was pretty good. It was about what I expected so it did not disappoint!!
Sunday: Marrakesh in Morocco at 5pm. This was a fun place. The wait staff was great! The food was not too "out there" so we all enjoyed it. We will return one day, just not this trip!
Monday: Chef Mickey's at 7:30pm; this was the first character meal we had ever gone to and the kids really liked being able to see the characters without standing in lines and missing out on rides. They even stated they wished we had done more character meals...and they are teens!! That really shocked me!!
Tuesday: San Angel Inn in Mexico at 11am. My 1st trip to Epcot was in 1984 and as we rode the boat through Mexico, I remembered seeing the restaurant and wanting to eat there soooo bad! This was one of the 1st ADRs I made because whether the food was good or not, I had to fulfill that childhood fantasy!! The food was fine, nothing outstanding. I have read a lot of negative reviews on San Angel but I enjoyed it...just not enough to return to again and again!!
Wednesday:
Sci-Fi Theater at 11am- we really liked the theme here! I, however, will not get the melon/cucumber salad again. Blah!! We will stick to hamburgers, onion rings and milkshakes because those were really good!!!
50's PTC at 5:30pm- Another winner! Aunt Sue made Chris wear a napkin bib, we had to do homework and then at the end of the meal Chris had not eaten all of his green beans. Aunt Sue proceeded to feed him! It was great!!
Thursday:Boma at 7:30pm-Very Yummy and I loved AKL.
Friday: (we began to get sick of food by Friday!)
Coral Reef at 11:30am- this is one of those places we were glad we went and it was fine but we won't go running back!
LeCellier at 5pm (because that was the only time I could get and this was my only other choice besides SAI, the kids had chosen the others!)- well we were still full from Coral Reef but when we got our food...OMGoodness. So good! Plus our waitress was SUPER and the pretzel bread was yummy, and the atmosphere...oh I just really liked LeCellier!!!
Saturday: Ohana breakfast with Lilo and Stitch at 8:30am- another great choice!! I crave the bread and juice. I can't wait to get back here!! Plus we had a great view of the castle!!!! :lovestruc
So that was the past...now to the future!!!
We have many chocies of places we want to eat. We definitely have to plan many trips to cover it all!! Our "wish list" includes:
1900 Park Fare
Crystal Palace
Hoop-de-Doo Review
Akershus (with Princesses)
Chefs de France
Tutto Italia (BTW...I am sooo excited for the new CS coming to Italy!!)
Hollywood Brown Derby
Kona Cafe
And others but those are tops!!
Well, for this trip anything with Pooh and Princesses we pretty much ruled out...don't think DH would be overly excited about that!! Then I made that mistake of asking the kids where they wanted to go! Oh when will I learn you do not ask for opinions because arguments will follow!? So what does a good mother do?? Again, I made the decision but for the most part they got what they wanted!! :rolleyes1
Their requests were: 1) character meals, 2) LeCellier, and 3) Madison: Sci-Fi and Chris: 50's PTC. We are not doing DDP this time. I put everything on a spreadsheet including tax and tip and based on what I am pretty sure we will order it is cheaper to go OOP. Well this is our final outcome. After many reservations were made and cancelled we finally got a finished product!!:
Saturday: 7:30pm T-Rex (both)
Sunday: 8am Pre-Park opening Tusker House (this one is for me!!)
7:35pm Whispering Canyon Cafe (I decided on this one)
Monday: 2pm Sci-Fi Drive-In Theater (Madison)
Tuesday: 10:25am Ohana breakfast with Lilo and Stitch (Chris)
Wednesday:1pm LeCellier (Chris...and well me too!)
Thursday: 8:05am Chef Mickey's (Madison)
So that's our ADRs (the long and short of it!!). Next, our park plans!!

That was quick! :) Of course, I already had a preview of your plans from my PTR. For future trips with your DH, 1900 Park Fare is not super princessey (not sure that is a word). Yes, Cinderella is there but the stepsisters and stepmother really steal the show. Your plans sound great. Maybe I'll ditch my family and come eat with you. ;)
Italy is getting a CS resturant? Yum!!!!!!!

Your ADR's look great! I would love to try T-rex, but my daughter picked RFC over T-rex. Oh well, maybe next time.

Yea, nothing much had changed since I put it on your PTR! :yay: That is pretty much set in stone. Which also made it easy to write that installment!!:)
Italy is getting a pizzaria!! It is supposed to be authentic Italian pizza. It is supposed to open in the fall of 2010 so I will be there on my next trip! :woohoo: I don't think they have named it yet but it is supposed to sit around 300/outside dining with vaulted ceilings. I have WDW on FB and get blogs daily...which is where I got this info! :thumbsup2
Can I do this??? Here is the link:

I actually wanted to go the RFC but the kids loved T-Rex so much I cancelled that reservation and called T-Rex. BTW: you have to call them direct. I got the exact time I wanted, no problems but I could not get a time doing the online reservations through the WDW site. I meant to mention that in my ADR report!!

Just came across your PTR and am signing on. I too have a DH who is never enthusiastic about going to Disney. However, I am lucky that he has taken me and the kids there MANY times because he knows how much we enjoy it. Also, once we are there and he gets to see Disney through the kids' eyes, he does enjoy himself. I am sure that your husband will have a great time and will cherish the family memories that this trip will create. You have done a great job with planning so far.

Hi!! :wave2: I am so glad you are joining in! All of my friends that go to Disney World have husbands that love going and have DVC and so on so I always felt "alone" but I am running into more and more that say the same thing you have. So I am hopeful! He is actually a little more open to discussing things here lately so I think that deep down maybe he is more interested than he wants to let on to...that would be admitting too much!! :rotfl2: I just try not to discuss too much at one time with him! That is one reason I love the DisBoards because I have someon to listen to me go on and on and on about my plans!! So thanks everyone!!! :lmao:

I have decided to break each day down and list our “must-dos” for each park! Of course, all great plans may change once we get there but hopefully we will stay somewhat on track!! And there may be some things we just have to leave off but some that maybe, just maybe, we can add!!! I am also going to include a few pictures from last year to provide some “color commentary”!!
First day is not really a park but arrival day! As I said before, I hope to leave early! If we do, then barring no major traffic tie-ups, we should have time to get to the resort, check-in and relax (I hope by a pool!) before taking the boat to DTD. We have 7:35pm reservations at T-Rex.
http://i846.photobucket.com/albums/ab29/tinksthree/Disney%202009/IMG0349_4.jpg
I also hope to get ice cream at Ghirardelli and perhaps be able to go in a few shops. We have an early day on Sunday, though, so we will not be able to be very late!! I love World of Disney so hopefully we will have time to browse here and then just wander at least for a bit and soak up being at WDW!!!

Sunday and Animal Kingdom!! http://i846.photobucket.com/albums/ab29/tinksthree/Disney%202009/IMG0413_4-1.jpg
We began our trip last year with AK and this year will be the same. I personally love  this park. The details are incredible plus, I just really love animals!!
http://i846.photobucket.com/albums/ab29/tinksthree/Disney%202009/IMG0550_4-1.jpg http://i846.photobucket.com/albums/ab29/tinksthree/Disney%202009/IMG0476_4.jpg http://i846.photobucket.com/albums/ab29/tinksthree/Disney%202009/IMG0486_4-1.jpg http://i846.photobucket.com/albums/ab29/tinksthree/Disney%202009/IMG0490_4-1.jpg
The main reason this park continues to be the 1st day is because I use Unofficial Guide Tour Plans and they list AK as the Best Park on Sundays. So AK it is to begin our week!! All of my plans (at least to begin the day) come from my “revised” version of a Touring Plan. I just skip what we don’t want to do and I have to allow for TS and breaks since they do not. I used these last year and it worked great! I have not ever gone without “a plan” so I don’t have anything to judge it by but I am such a scheduled person that winging it causes anxiety just thinking about it so I have to have at least a little bit of a plan!! It doesn’t matter if we stick solely to it, as long as it is there!!! :thumbsup2
We have an ADR at 8am at Tusker House. I am very excited about this because 1) I love :lovestruc Donald Duck and 2) we get into the park before the masses !! Since we will be so close to Kilimanjaro Safari, this will be our first ride and then we will be heading off to Expedition Everest for FPs (and I hope stand-by). We rode EE 5 times last year and it is one of my favorite rides!!) .
http://i846.photobucket.com/albums/ab29/tinksthree/Disney%202009/IMG0472_4-1.jpg
Other must–dos for Animal Kingdom are (and will try pretty much in this order):
Dinosaur
Kali River
Pangani Trail
Maharajah Jungle Trek
It’s Tough To Be a Bug
Primeval Whirl
Also for the last two Sundays, I have played with our new app on the I-Phone to see how lines are especially with the crowd levels being a 9 and 10. It did not look too bad…. Maybe just maybe our luck will hold out!! :worship:
Based on last year and our timing, I really do not think fitting all of this in will be an issue. We were able to do all but Primeval Whirl and Festival of the Lion King before 2:30pm last year. So I am hopeful the crowd levels will be about the same (last year was a 9 and right now it is listed as an 8 all week for June). We will probably skip FOTLK this year because Keith isn’t real interested in shows.
My goal is to finish by 3pm or 3:30pm and go back to the resort to swim and relax before heading to Wilderness Lodge. We have ADRs at Whispering Canyon Café at 7:35pm. I plan to ride the bus to MK and then the boat from MK to WL. I also want time to wander around WL before we eat. Then our Sunday will be complete!!

Monday and DHS!!
We plan to be at DHS for the 9am rope drop (I am a firm believer in rope drop because it works so much better for us since we like the popular rides). Last year we chose to sleep in on the day we went to DHS and that was a mistake! Even with FPs we had to return on Friday so we could ride RnR. :headache:
We have three must-do rides and two must-do shows. The shows are Light! Motors! Action! and Indiana Jones. I have worked a schedule with our ADR for Sci-Fi and the listed times (as of right now) for these shows. Everything else will revolve around these three things. The 3 must-do rides should not be an issue. I will be using FPs. So here is the dilemma I have struggled with:
1. Rope Drop to TSM, get FP and jump in stand-by line; get FP when able for RnR or TOT and stand-by the other (stand-by in shorter line and FP longer)
2. Rope Drop to TSM for FP; then when available FP for RnR or TOT and stand-by other
3. Rope Drop to TSM for stand-by only then FP for RnR or TOT and stand-by other ; hope for TSM FP available when we can get another
4. Rope Drop to RnR/TOT; FP one and ride stand-by other; get FP for TSM when available
I  Toy Story and I really liked TSM (mainly because it is about Toy Story) so I really would like to try riding this twice. Oh the possibilities (and decisions)!!
http://i846.photobucket.com/albums/ab29/tinksthree/Disney%202009/IMG1566_1-1.jpg
Other than that our only other “must-do” rides are The Back Lot Tour (it was closed last year and we have never done this) and The Great Movie Ride. We will probably skip Muppets 3-D and Star Tours. If there is time we will walk through the Walt Disney: One Man’s Dream and maybe try out the Animation Tour.
So the basic plan is: Rope Drop is at 9am and will head to TSM/RnR/TOT in some fashion. Indiana Jones around 11:30am (30 minute show) and LMA at 1:20pm (30 minute show will release around 1:50) we will then head directly to Sci-Fi for our 2:05 ADR.
http://i846.photobucket.com/albums/ab29/tinksthree/Disney%202009/IMG1529_1.jpg http://i846.photobucket.com/albums/ab29/tinksthree/Disney%202009/IMG1538_1.jpg
Where we plan to enjoy burgers, french fries, onion rings and milkshakes...away from the heat!
We will fit in Back Lot Tour, Great Movie Ride, Animation Tour and the Walt Disney Museum. This is also a PM EMH which may mean it will be crazy! I had planned on returning to the resort for a while and then go back for EMH. The only reason I would really want to do this is because I love TOT at night!!!
I hope to finish around 3:30pm to 4pm and then go back to the resort with three options:
1. Return for EMH (at least a couple of hours)
2. Remain at the resort and just enjoy what it has to offer
3. Remain at the resort but also ride the boat to DTD for a few hours (I am leaning towards this one because we have a HUGE day ahead of us!!!)

It looks like you have a couple of great days planned to start off your trip! I  Animal Kingdom too (although I will concede that it "feels" hotter there).
If you really want TSM 2x, I think option 1 is probably the best. It is really the only one tht gives you that guarantee.

I feel like Option 1 is my best bet also. That has always been the original plan but then as I read things others post and the guide books, I begin to doubt myself. We would like to ride TOT twice also, but that seems more manageable than TSM!
I have only been to AK in March and October. It wasn't too bad at those times but I am sure June will be different! Especially with humidity! I really don't like humidity!!

Great plans for both your days and I love your photos!:)
A few comments:
I had to giggle when I read that you used your iPhone app to check out the wait times during spring break. I'm such a dork that I actually took screen shots. Great minds think alike. :lmao:
I think breakfast with Donald and KS is a great way to start your DH's first day in the parks. Plus, I personally hate waiting with the mass of people for rope drop and I'm glad your DH won't have to experience that on the first morning. :crowded:
EE's standby line should not be too bad but if it is, there is a single rider line that we took full advantage of last June. We never waited more than 5 minutes.
It's a shame your DH doesn't like shows. FTLK is one of the best in my opinion.
As for the TSM, ToT, RNR dilemma, we were in the same situation last year. I couldn't remember all the details so here is part of my trip report:
We had visited all the parks except Hollywood Studios (except Fantasmic) so we got up early to make rope drop at HS. Everyone was super excited about Toy Story.
FYI, this is the look your husband gives you when you drop the camera and shout obscenities in front of countless children:
http://inlinethumb58.webshots.com/43193/2422406930102591727S425x425Q85.jpg
Waiting for the park to open with "a few" other people:
http://inlinethumb59.webshots.com/32826/2999285070102591727S425x425Q85.jpg
As soon as the park opened DH went to get FPs for Toy Story. The kids and I took our time getting there. DH still had about 10 minutes in the FP line so he said to ride it without him. We only waited about 10 minutes in the standby line.

http://inlinethumb16.webshots.com/44367/2771967620102591727S425x425Q85.jpg
All the kids LOVED the ride. My score was the highest (kinda sad when you brag about beating little kids). We met back up with the DH. We couldn’t get more FPs till 10:50 and it was only 9:35. DN(7) and DN(10) desperately wanted to ride Rock-n-Rollercoaster. We warned them the standby line would be long but they said it was worth it to ride now so we all walked to RNRC and we got a rider swap so I could ride with the two dare devils later. The posted wait time was 60 mins.
I still think option #1 is the best. But you will not be able to get more FPs until about 11. Also, the standby line for RnR will be an hour by the time you ride TSM. Hopefully the standby line for ToT will be shorter though. If you would like, I can check the aforementioned screen shots and get an estimate for you.:goodvibes

I am pretty comfortable with my plan for AK. I have to agree about not waiting with the masses...especially after my husband told us if we didn't stop talking about crowds he was going to back out and just let us go!!
We saw FTLK last year and really loved it. In my mind, I have that as an option depending on how the day goes. He may just like going and sitting for awhile...plus he has games on his phone he plays when he gets bored...
I think I am definitely going with Option 1 now! I would love to see your screen prints!! I am glad I am not alone in this realm!! :rotfl:This past Saturday was an "8" and Sunday was a "9" at DHS and looking at the times on the app, at 11am the return time for RnR was around 2pm so that is not too bad. TOT seems to have the shorter wait times in general. As long as it doesn't get too late...like 5pm or so!! I want a relaxing evening that night! A lot of my final decision will be on that morning when I see "how bad" it really is!! I just need to breath!! :rotfl2:

Tuesday and the Magic Kingdom!!
http://i846.photobucket.com/albums/ab29/tinksthree/Disney%202009/IMG1107_3.jpg
Tuesday is AM EMH with Rope Drop at 8am. I plan to be there! I love Rope Drop at MK! :lovestruc I love the show before and going into the park and it feels so magical before the crowds start pouring in. We try to get there at least 40 minutes prior which means being at MK at 7:20 am or so!
I hope to see some of this (only in TomorrowLand rather than AdventureLand and FrontierLand!!):

before we begin seeing this :scared1::

Thankfully, because we had good Touring Plans last year, this did not affect us very much...so here is to hoping!!:thumbsup2
This is the one park stressing me the most. There is so much here we love to do but we usually are here for 2 – 2 ½ days…not 1 day!!! That is one reason I chose AM EMH for our MK day, even though MK is on the Avoid list for Tuesday. So my plan is to head straight to Space MTN and get FP and ride stand-by (maybe…not sure yet). Last year we were able to get FPs in AM EMH but I have read lately that the FP machines are still sleeping during EMH, so that may mean adjustments!. Then ride Buzz Lightyear before heading to Fantasyland and riding IASW and possibly catching Mickey’s Philharmonic (this one depends on the time...I think we can fit it into our day almost anywhere). Last year we did AM EMH and were able to ride Space MTN, Buzz, Tea Cups, Pooh and Snow White all before 9am. My goal is to be able to ride Space MTN, Buzz and IASW before the 9am rope drop into the rest of the park.
Then at 9am we will head to Splash MTN for FP and BTMR for stand-by (or vice versa but I would like FP for Splash to do later). Then head over to POTC. Beyond that will all depend on time because we will need to leave by 9:50am to ride the monorail to Poly for our 10:25am reservations at Ohana!!
http://i846.photobucket.com/albums/ab29/tinksthree/Disney%202009/IMG2147.jpg the view from our table!!
http://i846.photobucket.com/albums/ab29/tinksthree/Disney%202009/IMG2157.jpg
Opinions???? Should we ride the monorail back to MK after breakfast or ride the ferry?
http://i846.photobucket.com/albums/ab29/tinksthree/Disney%202009/IMG0951_4.jpg
Hopefully we will make it back to MK around 12:30pm and can try to get into Haunted Mansion, Jungle Cruise and Mickey’s Philharmonic before the 3pm parade. Maybe pushing it but we will have later options as well. After the parade, the plan is to return to the resort to rest and then be back at MK around 6:30pm. We will fit in what we missed earlier and try to locate Ariel for Madison (Adventureland I believe). I would like to try to do Haunted Mansion and Jungle Cruise (at night) one more time.
The only things I have as possible options not on the actual “plan” is Barnstormer (since it will be our last opportunity to ride), Country Bears and Hall of Presidents . Importance is in that order. Again, this whole plan is based on the Touring Plans. This gives me hope to maybe be able to fit most everything in. I left a lot out that is actually included in the plans to make up for our breaks since they do not include breaks!! And of course we will conclude the night with the Electrical Parade and the new Nightastic Fireworks!!
http://i846.photobucket.com/albums/ab29/tinksthree/Disney%202009/IMG1425_1.jpghttp://i846.photobucket.com/albums/ab29/tinksthree/Disney%202009/IMG1446_1.jpghttp://i846.photobucket.com/albums/ab29/tinksthree/Disney%202009/IMG1447_1.jpg
I am exhausted just thinking about this day and we still have Epcot to do!! Whew!!
The one thing I hope to do is make myself go with the flow! I am so OCD when it comes to planning and following that plan. But I do know how to let it go….I hope I can manage this time!! :lmao:
And that leaves just one park...Epcot!!!

Wednesday/Our Last Full Day and Epcot!!! :sad1:
http://i846.photobucket.com/albums/ab29/tinksthree/Disney%202009/IMG0689_4-1.jpg
We end with Epcot because Madison and Chris wanted to end our WDW portion with Le Cellier. Since we do not have Park Hoppers that puts Epcot on Wednesday! Another long day!! But Epcot is the Best Park on Wednesday according to The Unofficial Guide so that is good as well! Epcot opens at 9am and we plan to be at rope drop. Our 1st stop will be Soarin’ and then we will get FPs for Test Track and Madison and Chris will ride Mission Space. Keith will not like this ride :sad2: so I will just hang out with him and find something to get into! I rode the green side last year...I won't miss anything by not doing it...plus Chris wants to do the orange side...nope not me!!
For Future World, we also plan to ride Living with the Land and (maybe??) Universe of Energy. I am not sold on it from what I have read. I do like forming my own opinion but I wonder if that should be done on another trip when I have more time. I am scared I will waste all that time when I could enjoy something else. And we will also ride Spaceship Earth somewhere in the day. I also plan to let Keith try the Beverly at Club Cool. I got Madison and Chris good last year!! It was great!!
It seems that everyone that takes these pictures have the same results, but I can't resist! Does anyone ever say "Yum that is soooo good!"???
Chris 1st (and notice Madison in her own little world...perfect set-up!) They had NO idea what was coming!!! :rotfl:
http://i846.photobucket.com/albums/ab29/tinksthree/Disney%202009/IMG1328_1.jpghttp://i846.photobucket.com/albums/ab29/tinksthree/Disney%202009/IMG1329_1.jpg
And then Madison...it took her longer to register the taste...I think!
http://i846.photobucket.com/albums/ab29/tinksthree/Disney%202009/IMG1330_1.jpghttp://i846.photobucket.com/albums/ab29/tinksthree/Disney%202009/IMG1331_1.jpghttp://i846.photobucket.com/albums/ab29/tinksthree/Disney%202009/IMG1332_1.jpg
NOTE: Chris had just finished playing in the Leaping Fountain outside HISTA so he was soaked...I noticed his hair and thought he may want me to declare why it looks so, uhmmm, messy!! :lmao:
I am hoping we can finish Future World by 12pm or shortly after and head to Canada to view the film before our 1pm reservations at Le Cellier. From there, we will make our way around World Showcase. I LOVE  World Showcase! I love the shops and the atmosphere, the entertainment and the whole flow.
http://i846.photobucket.com/albums/ab29/tinksthree/Disney%202009/IMG0700_4.jpg http://i846.photobucket.com/albums/ab29/tinksthree/Disney%202009/IMG0756_4.jpg
This is the one part I really think Keith will like…I hope I am not disappointed!! The afternoon will be completely “go with the flow”. Madison and Chris do want to do Kim Possible this year. It was down when we tried last year, which was on our last day. (That figures! We went to Epcot 3 days and the one day we try something it is not working!! )
I really want to see Illuminations because we were too tired last year to stay and watch it. But if I miss it, there will always be next time!! But leaving will be so sad!
I have pretty much bookcased the trip with my two favorite parks—Animal Kingdom and Epcot. I think I am the very rare person that doesn’t have MK on the top of the list! But I do love :lovestruc Magic Kingdom!! Each park just has its own ambience and I think if I had younger children, MK would probably hold a higher ranking!
So as we leave on our last night this will be our final sight of WDW this time...well almost :thumbsup2

The pictures of the empty park are great. I barely recognize it.
I LOVE your fireworks pictures. I am going to try to take some this year for the first time.
For Future World, we also plan to ride Living with the Land and (maybe??) Universe of Energy. I am not sold on it from what I have read. I do like forming my own opinion but I wonder if that should be done on another trip when I have more time. I am scared I will waste all that time when I could enjoy something else.
I think Universe of Energy is fine. I liked the original better than the update with Ellen, but, in general, I am a HUGE fan of Disney animatronics and there are some good ones in there. That said, unless you want a lengthy break (about 45 minutes) in the AC, I would wait for a longer trip. There is SOOO much other good stuff at Epcot.

I am glad you think my MK day looks do-able! That helps me breathe some!! :)
By the end of that day the crowd was almost unmovable and we left for a break, but it was really neat getting pictures of emptiness! Later in front of Mickey's Philharmonic I saw the sea of strollers that I had read about...I think that was about the time we decided to leave!! They were 20 deep!! I felt like I was at a stroller convention or something!! :lmao:
You pretty much summed up my thinking on Universe of Energy. I know I want to do that attraction, but unless the day calls for it, I think I may just wait until next time!
And the fireworks pics was just a point and shoot! It was a new camera and I was so pleased with the pictures I got out of it! Thanks on the compliment! :goodvibes

So today marks 6 weeks until our trip!!! :woohoo:
:dance3:This is one of our big markers in our countdown! Actually, it is when we "officially" begin counting down!!
Nah, I am not excited one little bit!! :lmao:
We are heading to the coast this weekend to the Air Force Base to pick up our tickets. I just hope that 1) they remembered to leave them at the front desk and 2) these tornadoes they are predicting do not develop! That will not be fun to drive through!! Have a great weekend!! :yay:

Hope everything went well with the ticket pick-up. The weather was terrible in GA on Saturday. We didn't even leave the house. :)
Your MK day will be busy but I don't think you planned too much. You seem to have left plenty of time. But I think you will be tired from such a long day. :) Your EPCOT day is planned perfectly. If you go in the exit of MS there is an air conditioned play area with some spots to sit. If your DH needs a break by then, it is a good place to people watch while you wait for the kids. I haven't ridden Universe of Energy but I wouldn't waste 45 mins on it since you only have one EPCOT day. :confused3

I plan to update soon! It was a busy weekend. We do not live far from Yazoo City but thankfully we were spared bad weather! It barely even rained here, stayed just north. Yazoo City brings back memories of Katrina...a lot of rebuilding and sad stories!!
I hope with my MK day, we can make it to our top rides evreything else will be just gravy. I may even skip the afternoon parade if it is getting too crowded and hot. I just know I do not want to miss the Electrical Parade or the fireworks!!!!
Good to know about the exit...thanks! We just left last year and I honestly do not remember anything after we got out of MS. We had lunch reservations and that was our goal. I think I may just skip Universe of Energy...the vibe doesn't seem to strong for that one this go around!! :rotfl2:

Our trip to the MS Gulf Coast was very successful! We were lucky and only had extremely windy conditions but no rain. I was very thankful for that!
When we got to Keesler AFB's ITT Office, my 1st concern (them forgetting to leave the tickets at the front desk) was realized. :headache: But the girl was so helpful and called her boss, got into the safe and voila:

Thursday and one last Disney hurrah!!
With Thursday will come much sadness….we will be bidding the Disney World farewell… :sad1:
Last year we went to Ohana for breakfast before we left for home. I think this really was a fun way to end the trip! It was so much nicer than just “loading up and heading out”!!
This year we have an 8:05am ADR at Chef Mickey’s so we will head to the Contemporary Resort and have breakfast before heading out! We had supper there last year and it was good. Originally for this trip I had a hard time deciding if I should make a dinner reservation or breakfast. In the end, I decided to give breakfast a whirl!!
After breakfast we will probably take a walk around the Contemporary and also take in the Magic Kingdom for one last view before leaving! We do not have tickets so it will be completely an “on the outside wishing we were inside” view!! :headache: So technically… I’m ending my trip with the Magic Kingdom!! :woohoo: Cinderella’s Castle will be our last memory as we head to our car! :yay:
After we finish at Chef Mickey’s we will head out of town for St. Augustine and a different adventure awaits us!! So that ends the Disney portion of our trip!!
A brief synopsis for St. Augustine since it is part of the trip, but not technically Disney!!
I hope to arrive in St. Augustine around noon. This will give us 1 ½ days for sure. There is way too much going on in this town for such a short visit, but hopefully we will be able to enjoy a taste of what St. Augustine has to offer!
Since we will be arriving before check-in time, we will enjoy some the city. Our hotel is actually on St. Augustine Beach. :beach: We are using points for Choice Hotels so our choices were limited with us wanting to be close to the beach…so we have to walk across the street to get there, but it is all good!! :yay:
Our objectives for sightseeing are:
Must dos: Castillo de San Marcos
Spanish Quarter Museum
Old Schoolhouse
Old Drug Store
Gonzalez/Alvarez House (Oldest House)
And of course the beach
Other to-dos:Fort Matanzas
History Museum
St. Augustine Lighthouse and Museum
Old Jail
Nombre Mission
St George Street (shops and such)
These will be added as time allows.
Others on-list: Fountain of Youth-the kids really wanted to go here but the more I read the more it sounds like one big tourist trap. I may be able to find other ways to spend $40!
Ghost and Graveyards Tour (this is just a possibility that we are mulling over)
Memorial Presbyterian Church (the architecture looks beautiful here!)
Right now for our main meals we are planning on Mango Mangos and Schrooners’ (because if you are close to the water…fresh seafood is a must!!) I am still looking at menus but pricing is an issue since I will have forked over a nice little bundle at TS meals at WDW!! So the seafood restaurant may change. I am keeping an eye on reviews at Trip Advisor!
We really love history so this should be a good buffer between leaving Disney and entering back into the real world!
The last time I went to St. Augustine, I was in 4th grade in 1986. I remember seeing my first orange growing on a tree and was thrilled (I bet that really made my parents’ day that something so simple could thrill me!!) I also remember peaking through the gates of the Fountain of Youth (evidently my dad had the same observation I am getting of this place!!) And I remember going to the beach. It was the first time I had seen the Atlantic Ocean. I was only used to Destin, Florida, and this was so very different! No soft white sandy beaches here! At least from what I remember but that was so long ago! :rotfl: So basically this trip will be new to me as well!
We plan on leaving Saturday to head home. It is a 10-11 hour drive. We may or may not choose to do something in the morning, drive a while and then spend the night in Pensacola before completing the journey! We like having at least the majority of Sunday to recoup before heading back to work on Monday morning! So we do not want to have a long drive that day!
And that is my basic itinerary….which as of right now I have 36 days to contemplate and second guess what I have done so far!! :rolleyes1

I think b-fast at Chef Mickey is a fabulous way to end your Disney trip!
DH and I went to St. Augustine for a quick get-away three years ago (two whole nights away from our kids - the only time we have ever spent a night away from them!) We had a great time and did many of the things on your list. There is also some good outlet shopping nearby (I am an outlet addict) and a really, REALLY, horrible winery (FL wine = YUCK!)

Oh, maybe we will have time to check out the outlet! I love good outlets! I love going to the one in Sevierville, TN. We always try to do school clothes shopping there when we go!
I saw the ad in a tourism guide for the winery and wondered...thanks for the tip!! :thumbsup2

Everything ready?? :rotfl2: I have been clothes shopping...this trip is such a good excuse!! I have most everything bought except for food/snacks. So it is coming together now! But, I had planned and looked at my plans and wrote my plans so much...now I haven't been obsessing so much and I think my subconscious has taken over! I keep dreaming we are half-way through the trip and I don't even remember doing anything!!! Serious issues!!! :rotfl:

HI!! :wave2:
What fun! My DD keeps begging me to plan a girls trip so she can bring along her BFF! It does seem so far off and then I think about all we have to do between now and then and it seems too close!! :) We have a family wedding the weekend before we leave so with all the pre-wedding/wedding stuff and getting the trip stuff together I know the time is going to fly!
I am going to jump over to your PTR and see what your plans are!! Mine this year are based a lot on last year's. But last year we went to AK on the first day and while in the RD line a very nice family took us under their wing and showed us the FP ropes at EE. We left EE and got in line at Dinosaur...I whipped out my Touring Plans because I suddenly felt lost!! :rotfl2:

We have 3 weeks (or 21 days to go)!! We have discussions on which sounds shorter: weeks or days? We used to include months but since we are under one month…that is out of the discussion now!! The closer it gets the better ‘days’ sounds!
We have done most of our shopping but thankfully have not needed a lot. I have gotten Tevas for Madison and myself. I love these shoes!! I hope they are just as comfy after long days in the park. I cannot stand closed shoes and socks on hot days, so I went on a mission for recommendations on good shoes to wear. I have worn one pair on an all day shopping trip and they were great!! :thumbsup2
I also got Madison a Mickey shirt that changes colors in the heat for our MK day and a leopard print shirt for AK. Sadly I do not have little ones to purchase cute little Princess dresses for anymore!! :sad2: Also, I just purchased a Carriage cage for Pick-a-Pearl at the Japan Pavilion (a surprise for Maddie). And I am contemplating giving Pin Trading a try but I am undecided if this may be too much for this particualr trip!
And, for Mother’s Day I got a Flip HD so I am super excited :yay: about using it on the trip!! Otherwise it is just the “necessities” like toothpaste, batteries, etc that we have bought. I still have some odd and ends to pick up but I am well on my way to being ready!!
Now, I have all my ADRs set, I have my Touring Plans down and we can see the finish line! Since all of this is complete, I have been thinking about those little things that I really want to see and do because either I have not before or we enjoyed it so much before that we want to experience it again!
So here are some of my thoughts, ideas, our wish lists and so forth!!
Saturday we will be at the resort in the afternoon and DTD that evening.
At the resort (whole trip, not just Saturday):
• I hope we get to relax some at the pool(s) and maybe rent a boat one
afternoon; check out the entertainment in the lounge areas of POR and
POFQ
• Madison wants to try to get her hair braided
• We may even try to fit in a carriage ride…who knows???
• I hope I can just take in the moment! Even with planned breaks last
year, we never “breaked”!
• Transportation to the parks: I keep hearing how poor the service is
with both POR and POFQ on the same bus line, so it has me wondering if
driving might not be faster
DTD:
• Ice Cram at Ghiradelli’s. It was so good last year!!
• :goofy: Goofy’s Candy Company: because we did not get there last year!
• The boat ride to and from POR
Animal Kingdom:
• Find Divine: last year we forgot all about her until after we were on our
way home!
• Maharajah Jungle Trek: we missed out on this one last year. For some
unknown reason to even myself, I really want to see those
bats!! :confused3
• Seeing Donald Duck :donald:at breakfast!!
• Getting to ride Expedition Everest again and again and hopefully again!!
• Madison wants to try and see Winnie the Pooh pooh: and
Tigger :tigger: here
• Maybe see Flights of Wonder
• Contemplating if we should stay for the 3:45 parade, it would cut into
possible pool time!
• I want to try and talk DH into going to the FOTLK (it was so good!)
Wilderness Lodge:
• Riding the boat from MK to WL (I like riding the boats, there is something
so relaxing and peaceful about it!)
• This will be my 1st visit to WL so after seeing pictures, I can’t wait to
see this place in person. This is one resort I think I would really like
to stay at one day!
• Find the fountain people throw coins into (I hear wishes come true here!!)
• Seeing the geyser
• Hopefully having a good time at Whispering Canyon Café!! I have read
many mixed reviews on this place!!
Well, that gets me through Sunday night and I am sure I will come up with many other thoughts on these places before D-Day arrives!! {D-Day = Disney Day) Of course I know we will not cover everything in a short trip but a wish list is always a plus!! ....More to come :thumbsup2

Now my thoughts and “wish” lists lead me to Hollywood Studio and Magic Kingdom!
DHS
• Indiana Jones and Lights Motors Action will be highlights (other than ToT, TSM, and RnR). Keith really likes The Italian Job, so I hope that LMA will be a hit for him!! The chase scene :car: in that movie reminds me of LMA (or vice versa!). I have always loved Indiana Jones and I had missed it previously, so when we left last year, this was one show on the top of my “to-do” list!!
• See some of the Streetmosphere. I assume they are still around but we did not see any at all last year…maybe we just weren’t looking!
• Back lot tour, if for no other reason than this will be a first!!
• Well, sadly this is all that really strikes my fancy here!! Maybe I just don’t know about some interesting things???
I think Magic Kingdom may have too many little things!
Can’t Wait For!!
• Rope Drop!
• The mountains!! Haunted Mansion and POTC!! Oh and Mickey’s Philharmonic. These are the MUST DO’s so anything else will be just gravy!!
• ‘Ohana because I really like the juice and bread…yum!!!
• Nighttastic! And Main Street Electrical Parade: I am really excited about seeing these two! I saw a video of The Electrical Parade online and it looks interesting…
Things to try and do:
• Try a Dole Whip. Whether I like it or not, so many people comment on this treat that I want to give it a whirl!!
• Find Tianna and Prince Naveen and also Ariel and Prince Eric. Ariel is actually on my daughters “must do” but she is sad it will not be in Ariel’s Grotto!
• Trying to decide if supper should be CS at POR, Columbia Harbour House (which we loved last year! I think it is the best CS in MK) or Casey’s. I am almost pretty sure this will be decided at that time. We may even claim a spot for the parade and eat curb side! Worked last year!!
Things I will not do!!!!
• Stitch’s Great Escape: this was the worst thing ever last year! I spelled that burp the entire day…I still get nauseous thinking about it!! BWOT!!!
Yesterday I got the Carriage Pearl Cage in the mail! It is really nice, so I am excited about that for Madison! I am a little stumped on something for Chris. It is hard to think of something for a 16 year old boy that could be special! :confused3
Well 17 days to go and I am so ready!! Work is very hectic right now, so I am ready for a change of scenery!! :yay:

Single Digits!! :woohoo:
I almost have all of my touring plans set and at times I am questioning my sanity!! MK all day followed by a full day at Epcot…what was I thinking?? :scared1: I have thought of alternatives, but none pan out so I am sticking to my original plan and hoping for the best! This weekend I plan to go online and get next week’s entertainment times finalized…as a general guide for our week. I am hoping it will be somewhat close to the same thing! I do know they have now added an hour to AK each day and also added a 2nd Fantasmic showing as well as an 11pm parade at MK. I don’t know if any of that will benefit us though!
So Epcot is our last park. My to-do (or try to-do) list includes:
Canada: Off Kilter
England: hopefully catch a few characters
Morocco: Mo’ Rockin
Japan: Pick-a-Pearl and the candy maker
American Adventure: Voices of Liberty
Italy: Sergio
Germany: Snow White
China: Si Xian and Dragon Legends Acrobats
Club Cool-for DH to try the Beverly
Along the way, we hope to see other characters besides just in England! The list seems long, but these are what are currently scheduled on Wednesdays. If we miss something, I will not be devastated! :) Illuminations may or may not happen…we will be at the end of 4 long days and may be too exhausted to care!!
So now I really need to begin my final packing lists and make sure everything is in order! We have a family wedding this weekend and I have been working overtime to get caught up at work prior to vacation, so my time is running out fast!! :hourglass
Every morning at work my co-workers ask “How many days?” so tomorrow morning it will be 9!!! :yay: Thankfully they are excited and are living vicariously through my planning!! :thumbsup2

I (thankfully) had done the majority of my shopping (except snacks, which we will be doing in moments) already! I have worked today on all of my final plans and park bag. Packing will begin...tomorrow!
I understand completely. I have been planning for this vacation for months and somehow there still seems like so much to do!! So, did the packing start?
I also have been having 2nd thoughts on WCC on Sunday night. I just cannot decide if we will just want to hang out around the resort after having spent the majority of the day at AK. Is it bad to hang on to your ADR and decide it is a no go at the last minute??
I think as long as there is a chance you will go, it isn't bad to hold the ADR. I currently have ADRs for 1900 Park Faire on two different days. I know we will only go on one of them, but I have no idea which it will be. I will cancel the minute we decide.

iT'S SO CLOSE!
We have the same parks planned two days, i hope we run into you! Wanna plan a meet? We go for rope drop, so we could just run into you there and say hi before we dash for fastpasses!
anyhoo, if you have a chance jump over and read my pt, we are doing the 4 day military tickets too!
That would be cool! I will jump over and take a look!! :thumbsup2
Not long now!!!! :cool1:
Are you packed?
I feel like I have suddenly gotten caught in a rip tide!! I have stacks but nothing actually in suitcases! Working on it though!! 3 days! Woohoo!!:woohoo:

I got all of the snack stuff purchased and that is packed and ready to load but I have been to 5 Walmarts trying to get ponchos...none have the emergency ones! There must have been a wild rush on those! :confused3
And suitcase things stacked but yet to be actually packed!!
That was how I felt about the ADR...we plan to go but you just never know what a day may hold!
Well ready or not, I have three days to get it all together! Really though I think it will all fall into place. I have been watching the 10 day forecast and it isn't too frightening. At least the forecast right now has it hotter here than in Orlando!! Today the heat index was at 98 here and I surely hope it isn't that bad next week...whew it is miserable!! :sad2:
I am currently listening to some of the free downloads I have gotten form Disney Radio through Facebook...that is really putting me in the Disney mood!! :cool1:

thanks for jumping over, i posted a new pic so you could see the updated version of us and look for us at AK...we wear matching shirts (yup, one of them) and have a double stroller, or a wheelchair. We might stand out if you're looking really hard! hahaha
hope to run into ya, my dd loves EE so we will be near there as many times as possible during the day

Great! I will be on the lookout!! We have not changed any since Easter. I can tell you I will be wearing brown at AK and at DHS I will have on a Southern Miss t-shirt...if that helps any! I plan on hitting EE often as well!! EE and ToT are my favorite rides!!
