Southwest airlines sent a internet special featuring WDW that runs from Aug 13-Jan 10. For example, tickets from Providence RI to Orlando are $78 one way (plus tax) and from Baltimore to Orlando is $64 one way. This is a significant savings. They also have special hotel rates in and out of Disneyworld. I want to go!!! Sandie

BUMMER :(
I called SW and rep is not allowed to give our grp. 'internet' sale special on our current tickets even tho dates apply. I could rebook them on internet and cancel these, however it would be a gamble I am not comfortable with as I can only book 6 at a time. Any suggestions??

You can cancel up to 45 days in advance... and you certainly have atleast that much time... I would try it... but that's just me.

this is the exact reason i haven't booked 'group' rates for our group of 11 for january 18th. i was afraid they wouldn't refund if a lower fare showed up. (plus they wanted $225 rt from pvd! no way!)
i wasn't aware you could only book 6 at a time online!

Groups are 100% refundable with SouthWest up until 45 days before the trip!
We will be offered any of the individual specials... however my understanding is that if it is an Internet ONLY Special... Group sales may not be able to access it!!!
I enjoy planning... but sometimes as it gets closer... it sure does drive me a little crazy!!!
BTW... I believe you can book up to 8 at a time online!

goin2dzny...
Thanx for your suggestions....I am feeling better now:D
When all was said and done I would only save $15 a ticket and sorry but it just would not be worth the aggervation to me ;)
We will keep what we have....I would rather be safe than sorry w/our non stop fares that are great times. Yes, a group of 10 or more is 100 % refundable if you cancel before the 45 day mark. Correct, you can book 8 at a time on internet specials.

Yes, we are very excited as we have been planning our family
trip and saving for over 2 yrs! Everything has fallen into place beautifully. Got a great deal on our Magic cruise by booking 2 yrs in advance, flying in a day early and staying at Radisson, have the transpo lined up w/'********' and even got insurance in case of last minute emergency. Soon as our Seattle family gets their tickets, it is sit back and coast till Dec... which will be a good feeling after all the planning! Can't wait to make some special family memories!

In case anyone is curious, $64 one-way plus fees comes out to $146.50 round-trip. Still a great deal.

I was very excited to see this internet special until I saw that the last date was Jan. 10. We are returning Jan. 15 and I'm not sure if I should book the one way to Orlando and wait until the dates for scheduling are extended or take my chances and pass this special hoping for another later.

Hartford to Orlando non-stop 12/11- 12/17 for $158 (that includes airport security & taxes)!!! Yeah!!! There are only five of us so that doesn't qualify us for group stuff.
