I'm looking to add some races (5K, 10K and a half later in the year) to my schedule and was wondering where's the best place to find a list of races. I checked out runnersworld.com and some other website in a random search I did but I'm hoping there's some more races out there in the sticks of Indiana! Any help would be great!

When you say that you went to runnersworld.com, did you use their Race Finder page? That is typically considered to be the most comprehensive listing of races.
I've also used:

Good luck!

I'll be in your town in June to do the Sunburst 10K.
The first place I would check is active.com (http://www.active.com/). If there is a local running club in your area they might have a race calendar on their site. Also, a local running store may have some regional suggestions.
Here in Cleveland we have some large organizers and many of the local races are organized by one of these groups. When I was living in Tampa most of the races were not organized by one central company and they were mostly independent.
A couple of places I found for Indiana running in general are below. You may also want to check in areas of Michigan that aren't too far from you.
Run Walk Jog (http://www.runwalkjog.com/inraces.htm)
Indy Runners (http://www.indyrunners.org/)
Run Indiana (http://www.runindiana.com/)
Indiana Running Company (http://www.inrunco.com/)

Here are a few websites that I have used to find races:
Running in the USA (http://www.runningintheusa.com/Race/Default.aspx) This is the most recent site that I've found. There's a cool "50 Stater's Gadget" on the left sidebar that will assist you in finding back to back races in nearby states.
Half Marathons.net (http://www.halfmarathons.net/usa_half_marathons.html)
Half 2 Run (http://www.half2run.com) There is a "Find Races" box on the left sidebar.

Thanks so much everyone! I'm going to dissect those pages... I have a running itch!

I'll be doing the Sunburst 10K too. It'll be my first 10K but I'm up for it! We'll be glad to have you in South Bend! :thumbsup2

I would check at the local running store and ask them who the local race directors are. Here in Cincinnati about 90-95% of the 5k and 10k races are put on by one of 3 local race directors, each of whom have their own website. I have all 3 sites bookmarked and then whenever I want to do a race, I can easily check out all three sites to see what races are being offered and where they are being run.

I belong to 2 running clubs in my area and each has a website with upcoming races. Some are farther away but they include them because someone from the club will be going. Also the running store has notices as well.
Many races use Active for online registration, so that is a good place to look as well.
Good luck!
