I need to find a photographer!

I know I'm not going through Disney, and really need to keep this expense cheap. We just cannot afford to spend a lot on this. Does anyone have suggestions? If anyone has prices I would greatly appreciate a PM. I would rather narrow it down to a few photographers before contacting a bunch for prices and availability.

If anyone is using/had used Randy Chapman or David and Vicki Arndt, I would really appreciate any info. on prices for them. Thank you. (We are looking for 6-8 hours)

Sorry, but can't talk for the two you asked about, but Misty's prices are listed on her website, and I think if you let the photographer know you're working to a budget a lot of the time they will work something out with you.

It really is a good idea to make contact with your prefered phoographer and see what they say. If you can't work anything out, move onto your 2nd fave...

I'm using David and Vicki for our engagment pictures on Sunday April 18th, I will post them when we get them back. But I loved their work and they are soo nice.

He's been fantastic to deal with....we're having him come out for "getting ready pics" then the ceremony, headed to BW and POP for photos after the wedding with the wedding party...then he leaves while we go to dinner (we're going to HDDR) and then he's coming back for the Dessert Party...I'm getting DVD rights, and it's still well under $1000 (in fact I think it was closer to $700)!

I LOVED working with Randy Chapman. We worked with him in January. He was great, I really can't say enough about how much he was willing to work with us.
I have only ever seen one person give him a bad review, and from what I could see they didn't really look into his "style" before they went with him. As long as you know what you are getting into, and love his work, I think you will be very happy.

I'm using David and Vicki Arndt for my parents surprise vow renewal and for my wedding. I love their work and I have been BM and MOH in weddings that they photographed. The albums came out beautiful. :worship: They will send you their price list for a Wishes or Escape Wedding and they give you a 15% discount on top of that They also offer the High Res. DVD with the rights to the images and custom packaging. Vicki offered to customize a package if I didn't see one on the list that would fit my budget.:thumbsup2

They are so easy to work and both are well known professional photographers. They have an 'About Us' section on their site.

I would have them e-mail you the wedding packages because there are quite a few. I recently checked on the Trash the Dress session with them and they are charging $300 for a Disney Resort and $450 for a New Smyrna Beach session. A few of us from the boards were going to try to do a group TTD with them and Vicki and David loved that idea.

I saved a lot of money when we decided to buy the DVD only package from Randy. We loved him and it was so reasonable! I would contact him and see what he can do for you. He's not pushy at all, and he is happy to answer any questions.

I absolutely LOVED Randy. He was great communicating via email and getting back to me quickly. He arrived early the day of the wedding. He captured every important moment and even the little details...we were thrilled and so happy we chose him. He was really creative and got some great shots that turned out to be some of our favorites. After the wedding, we wanted something adjusted with the prints, and he was great working with us and making sure we were 100% happy. His prices were reasonable. Oh, and he even helped me fix my veil when it fell off and no one else knew how to fix it, lol Basically he was amazing. HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIM!

We booked Randy for an all-day package for only $1600.00. Compared to what photographers cost up here in CT, that is a steal! I really like his work and I have really enjoyed working with him via email so far. He's super friendly. He has cheaper packages that what I am doing, I believe. Ok, I'm new to this...

but I had an engagement shoot with Randy recently, and he's shooting our wedding in August. He's really great to work with - I'm not at all photogenic, but I love our pictures!

I live in Orlando and was able to meet with a lot of the Photographers in person and look at their work and their albums. I am almost certain I am going to go with David and Vicki Arndt Photography. I love their styles. While one is shooting Photojournalism, the other shoots more of the posed fine art photography.:thumbsup2

Randy did a great job with our pictures as well. Every photographer has a different style and there are things I love about all of them! Just make a list of your must takes, I did, but was too embarrassed/shy to give it to him and I wish I had! But, I still love our pictures!! If you want more info on Randy, PM me ;)

You can use a outside photographer for wishes dessert party (as long as your venue is not in a theme park) but for an illuminations dessert party you have to use a disney photographer due to the fact the it is with in a theme park.

I had David and Vicki for my wedding and just got done doing a Trash the Dress session with them. I absolutely love them!!! Their pictures are amazing and they are so much fun to work with. I would definitely recommend them for any event. I plan on using them for my pregnancy pictures, baby pictures and family pictures. LOVE LOVE LOVE them!!! :lovestruc
