Me too! I did hear some economists are saying that the Canadian dollar will be stay at parity or higher for a while this year. Hope they are right!

As usual I lose again. I watch the rate several times per day and recently I missed out on getting coin at 1.05.....well it it went back to 1.09. So as a result I've been on it even more so stalking a good rate. Last Thursday it was 1.0335 so I exchanged $1000. Now of course it's even better....right now 1.0260. I'm sure it will be par soon. Oh well that's my luck.

Bittersweet. I love visiting the US and the fact that our dollar is so strong there now. But, on the flip side it also means lots of our manufacturing and forest industries will continue to suffer. So, although I'm happy, I kinda feel selfish, kwim? (Especially considering hubby lost his job a few years ago in the forest industry. He was one of the lucky ones to get retrained and another job quickly!)

The fluctuations are so minor now, that you'll barely notice when converting no matter which way the 100ths of a cent change. :cool1:
