My 11 yo DD has an awful time with sunburn. She is fair skinned but only burns on her face! We have tried too many over the counter sunscreens to count. Her face burns up to her lower eyelashes. Does anyone know if there is any prescription sunscreen or OTC that works wonders? We've used lotions, sportsticks & etc. We are planning to go to the river for Labor Day & I REALLY don't want her to get burned! Your help would be greatly appreciated!

Have you tried Bullfrog? Sportgel? In either the gel or the Spraygel. I am as fair a skinned Irish girl you will find, and I stumbled on this stuff 2 summers ago, and will not use anything else now. It is a little tough to find, but try WalMart, CVS, or Target.
Good Luck

are you reapplying every few hours? i think you have to do that regardless of the spf you get, even with waterproofs.

You might also want to consider Clinique's City Block oil free daily face protector. I have it in SPF 25, but you can probably get a higher SPF if you want.
That's what I use, not only on my own face, but my kid's.
We've never burned yet, but we also reapply often.

Look for Titanium Dioxide in the ingredients. It protects quite well. Apply often and liberally.
