Boardwalk cocktail hour

Me and Df were going to do our cocktail hour at GF marina, but have now decided against it because of heat (it will be June), chance of rain, and because we don't want to transfer guests again. Our reception is at ADH, so we could just do the cocktail hour there, but neither of us are crazy about this idea. Does anyone have any suggestions of somewhere else on the Boardwalk we could do our cocktail hour? We would really like somewhere with indoor and outdoor seating options, and somewhere close enough to ADH for guests to walk. Thanks for any suggestions.

I don't think I know anywhere that you will just be able to use exclusively or exculsively without a minimum for a cocktail hour but your consultant/planner may have some suggestions. The Attic is located at the Boardwalk but I don't know if you can get it just for pre-reception cocktails but it might be worth asking. There are some restaurants/bars on the Boardwalk that might be able to set you something up or the Belle Vue lounge in the Boardwalk Inn.

Other options would be to have something at Mizzners, Summer House or another area in the GF such at Whitehall Patio before transporting everyone over to the ADH. Again I think only your consultant/planner will know if this is an option.

I think the Boardwalk hotel has some lounges you might be able to use. I can't remember where I read about them, but I know I did. Maybe Lurkeyloo's book? I'd ask your planner. I'd imagine they have lower F&B minimums, while also being semi- private but not formal.
