This will be our first trip without a stroller which means we need to minimize the amount of stuff we're carrying in our park bag.
Looking for advice from those who have done Disney without a stroller on what they feel is absolutely necessary.
I'm thinking water bottle, sunscreen, rain ponchos, pain medication (adult and kids) and wipes.
We've will have a 5 and a 6 year old with us.

Its just me and my DS(16 yo) but I carry a back pack and a shoulder bag. The back pack I store In a locker at the front of the parks.
In the Back pack I put extra clouthing maybe a extra pair of shoes(in case we run Into a rain shower or get wet on a ride) a frist aid kit,with all the essentals,tylenol,alergy asprin etc. I also put muscle cream for nights In the bag,after a long day at the parks It can do wonders for the body. Feet cream for those hurting feet:rotfl2:. I will come with more for our back pack just let me think. With the shoulder bag i put our ponchos,a small first aid kit, ziplock bag for wallet and papers so they do not get wet.

I travel as light as possible. I would suggest you have pockets that you can put things in so they don't fall out on accident so either deep or can be zipped. I only take my KTTW card and have it connected to a credit card and my camera. If it is cool in the morning I still dress light so I don't have to carry a jacket through the day. If it is likely to rain I bring one of those bags with draw strings that loop around each shoulder for the ponchos. It is light and can be crushed if I sit on it or need to stuff it in the pouch on rides.

This is what we do, with the addition of an extra camera battery and memory card, unless we are really good and check that out before we leave. Also, a reusable water bottle or two to fill at water fountains, or cs places.

I say a small travel case of wipes. You never know when it can come in handy!

I give each kid either a fanny pack or lightweight backpack to carry their own water bottle, sunglasses,autograph book, and snack. I am tired of being the pack mule that carries everybody's everything. I wear a lanyard with my ticket/id/fastpasses in it. A small backlpack with water bottle, meds, sunsreen for all. Less is more.

With a 5 year old, I would consider bringing a foldable umbrella stroller. At five they get wiped out still.

Our bag:
Ponchos
Bottles of water (1 or 2 to be refilled)
Paper & pen
First aid kit (bandaids, moleskin, pain & stomach meds, chapstick)
Sunscreen
Change of kids clothes
Sunglasses
Camera
Extra batteries
Plans for the day
Misting fan
Gum
We have not had to go back to the park entrance or our hotel room for anything thus far even on lengthly days. I love it because although we split carrying the bag, I don't carry a purse to the park (all our id and such goes in hubby's wallet). It is so freeing!

I travel very light :-) Never packed a poncho and so far it has only rained on us once and we waited it out. I guess if it every rained long enough, we will end up buying ponchos.
1 - Camera
2 - Extra batteries for camera
3 - KTTW, DVC Card and a few dollars
4 - autograph book and pen
5 - travel size hand sanitizer
6 - travel size sunscreen
7 - lip balm

Can you go back to your locker mulitple times in a day, or do you have to pay each time you go into it (thinking the put in a quarter and the key comes out type of lockers:lmao:) I know they are not that type, but whats the scoop on the lockers??

When I don't have DD10's autograph book, I like to go bagless. In my cargo pants pockets I carry:
Camera, extra battery, extra SD card
Ponchos for DD10 and I
1/2 roll of quarter, quarter, penny for penny matchines in M&M container (used to carry full roll but those darn things are heavy!)
travel size advil
travel size hand sanitzer
blistex blister stop (small square thing that DD10 likes to use to stop foot blisters)
a couple of sandwich baggies just in case
travel size pepto pills and travel size rolaids
travel size suntan lotion for a quick touch up when needed.
forgot to add my lip balm. I carry that everywhere.
If I'm going to a park with a water ride, I'll put in a one gallon zip lock bag for all of our phones, cameras ect.
In my Passporter Pouch:
tickets, bandaides, cash, credit card, insurance card, drivers license
If I need to carry DD10's autograph book, then I'll use my tinkerbell purse or small overland donner purse for this stuff to keep my shorts lighter. :rotfl:

My first two trips, I collected all the tips/advice I saw and then recorded whether I used them either trip. The things I'd love to stress was the change of socks (for our poor tired feet) and the earplugs which everyone thought was an awesome idea for Dinosaur in AK.
Fanny pack -> Used
ponchos -> Used
sunblock -> Used
lip stuff -> Used
wallets -> Used
digital camera -> Used
Water bottle with big cap -> Used
Walkie talkies -> Used
autograph pen (“Sharpie” brand marker) -> Used
autograph book -> Used. Bought at Disney
flashlight -> Did not really use but the idea is for little kids to be able to use on dark rides
hairclip -> Used
personal fan -> Did buy at the park
juice crystals -> Used. Great idea for flavouring water
antibacterial spray -> Did not use
wipes -> Used
sunglasses and straps -> Used
gameboy -> Used
antacids -> Used
aspirin -> Used
bandaids -> Used
dental floss -> Used
earplugs -> Would have been good for the Car stunt show at MGM but a NEED at the Dinosaur ride at AK
Bugspray -> Did not use
Kleenex -> Used
Moleskin -> Used quite a bit
Tweezers -> Did not use
Afterbite -> Did not use
change of socks -> Used
snacks -> Used
photo ID for magic hours -> I don’t remember if we needed this
tennis ball tube -> Was not needed. The tip was to hold stickers, etc.

--->> TheDisneyingNewfie --->> What a list!
Tell me, what did you end up using to carry it all? I'm wondering if I can fit all that..

Everything fit into this fanny pack. I think it's a mountain biker bag. We've used it twice and it's perfect. I even had Pal Mickey stuffed in it for a while.
DW and DS have little tiny fanny packs for holding their water bottle and their walkies, etc.

:eek:, wow, that thing can hold everything but the "kitchen sink"!!! I hope that I can do that with my camel back!

Hee hee. Yup. Hard to see I guess, but did you see it even has dual water bottle holders? I even had it holding one of those big (4 ft?) snakes you can win at Universal using the latch on thingy on the front.

Money and keys to the world. That's all. If we get cold, we'll buy a sweatshirt or go back to the resort :thumbsup2
