Hi! I purchased a Canon Rebel xsi a couple years ago and am having great fun learning how to use it. But, it's not always practical to carry around this bulky sized camera. So I'm in the market for a simple little P&S digital camera. We seem to always buy Canon's, but I'm open to suggestions on other brands.
What kind of simple little camera do you have? Why would you suggest it? What are your favorite features? Least favorite features?
TIA!! :thumbsup2

We have a Canon Xsi and when that is too large to carry we have a Canon G11. Of course image quality is not as good, especially in low light, but the G11 has all the manual controls, does RAW, and even does bracketing (for HDR). When even the G11 is too large to carry we have a Canon SD1100 that is really only good for snapshots.

I'll second the G11 recommendation, although ours is an older G9.
If you want something that can go anywhere, I'd recommend a Canon D10 (or its soon-to-be-announced replacement). It's waterproof and shockproof, so you can take it just about anywhere anytime and not worry about it.

I was looking at that one. Wondering about zoom, though I just saw it has 3x optical. I have a Sony, but really wanting a p&s that's at least water resistant for our trip.
