Does anyone know of any San Diego beachfront hotel deals for the coming summer? I have been searching high and low and haven't found anything I consider to be a great deal. Specifically I'm looking for the Bahia, Catamaran or Paradise Point.
There seems to be a lot of specials for spring so I have thought that maybe there weren't any summer deals going yet...:confused3
Thanks,
Kelly

Summer is high season in San Diego, so chances of specials would probably be slim to none.

I am looking for summer deals at San Diego hotels also!! Lots of spring deals but since this our first trip to San Diego I have no idea if there are any deals in the summer. We are looking at Paradise Point, Pacific Terrace, or Glorietta Bay. Anyone ever get summer deals??

Yeah, I know that San Diego in the summer usually means high hotel prices. With this economy though I know that lots of places are offering deals to lure the locals in or the vacationers from nearby states. We might try hotwire. My gf got the Paradise Point last July for $99 per night on hotwire.

I've sometimes seen good deals during the summer at the Catamaran by clicking on the "Hot Deals" link at the bottom of the reservations page. They typically get better as you get closer to your travel dates, but you run the risk of them selling out. (The Bahia has this same link on it's web page, but I found the Catamaran to be far superior).

Thanks for the advice guys! I went ahead and booked with hotwire and got Paradise Point which is one of the hotels we really wanted.
I have checked those hot deals on the Bahia and Catamaran websites. They probably are good deals but I wanted rockbottom prices and hotwire fit the bill.
Thanks again!

Can I ask when you're going and what price you got on Hotwire? We keep searching for July 30-August 2 but can't get a great price...even on Hotwire. Although I don't think I have looked specifically for this hotel.

Hi. Sorry I didn't respond sooner. I haven't checked this thread recently. I see you've already got your reservation.
We are going 6/8-6/10. Paradise Point $109 per night. On hotwire you can specifically choose the area and the amenities. So I choose the one that was Sea World/Mission Bay ( our favorite area to stay)4 stars and the icons were Resort, Beachfront, fitness, restaurant, internet, tennis, golf and spa. Usually if you see that exact combination its paradise point.

Thanks for posting back!
I saw it on hotwire...when I checked it was much higher, but we're going the last week of July so that is likely why.
I'm happy with the Omni...I think for $88 a night it's a good option. Parking prices are ridiculous but that's likely going to be the same anywhere downtown.

I am going to San Diego for a week starting tomorrow and am staying at the Dana at Mission Bay.
I looked into the Bahia, but the reviews on Trip Advisor were all over the board. I didn't want to take the risk.
